I just got my first Chanel makeup! It’s the Joues Contraste cream to powder blush

Shade name is Rose Ardent. This is the most expensive blush I own and she’s my baby. This blush applied seamlessly and lasted all day.

The Dior highlight palette and blush were my first luxury products, but the Chanel blush is on a different level of luxury. The packaging, the application experience, and the formula is amazing. The Dior highlighter and blush are great but I feel like it’s comparable to any high end makeup at Sephora.

Now I wanna try more makeup from Chanel 😭 I am interested in the Water Fresh Tint.

Do you own any Chanel makeup? If so, what are your favorite products and holy grail products?

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen and Iliyoon ceramide cream empties and their replacements

These 2 products became my holy grail.

I have dry, sensitive, and eczema prone skin.

I don’t think I ever finished a sunscreen before because I’m always replacing it to find “the next best thing”. I always had trouble finding sunscreen that doesn’t clog my pores, pill, wear well under makeup, or irritate my skin. I tried La Rosche, Supergoop, Elta MD, Paula’s Choice, but the BOJ is so lightweight and silky.

The Iliyoon cream is the best night cream that works well for me so far. Perfect for eczema prone skin.

What is your holy grail sunscreen and night cream? I’m curious!

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen and Iliyoon cream empties and their replacements

Both of these products are my holy grail. I don’t think I ever finished a sunscreen because I have trouble finding ones that don’t pill, doesn’t clog my pores, sits well under makeup, or doesn’t dry out my skin. I’m always replacing it to find a new one that would work. I’m so glad I finally found one!

Same with the Iliyoon cream! Amazing if your skin is dry, sensitive and eczema prone.

Does anyone low key hate Rhys and Feyre after the 3rd book?

I’m on the 4th book now and Feyre and Rhys are starting to annoy me. The nerve of Rhys going to the spring court just to taunt Tamlin after he saved him from dying and his precious Feyre from Hybern.

I get that Tamlin isn’t perfect. Boy needs to go to anger management and therapy to process what he went through under the mountain. I also get why Rhys hates Tam because of what happened to his mom and sister but not even a thank you or an ounce of gratitude. Kicking a man while he is already down is also cherry on top.

I don’t know why so many people ship them and the Tamlin hate is so forced

My favorite brushes

Princeton velvetouch round 0 - love it but im not a fan of the long handle

Princeton select 5/0 spotter and filbert 4 and 2 and 6 (not pictured) - my favorite for fairly large cells. It applies color evenly

Kingart Original Gold pointed filbert 0 - my favorite to fill small to medium cells.

Canvas by numbers 10/0 - stiff and short bristles. It came as a free gift. One of the best I’ve tried. I would pay for it if mines wear out.

Princeton velvetouch 3/0 spotter - I love how angled it is and helps reach tight spots.

Zimuvora size 0 - really stiff, amazing price, and they keep their point. They get frayed really fast but it’s really cheap.

(Not pictured) disposable eyeliner brushes from Amazon - Great for outlining and super tiny cells. Love how stiff the bristles are. My only issue is how short the handles are.

I just wanted to share! I love trying different brushes. It really makes or breaks the painting experience.

I bought the Royal & langnickel majestic detail brushes. I love how they feel. They have a luxurious feeling but hate how soft and flimsy the bristles are ☹️

The Princeton and Kingart brushes are on the pricier side. If you’re on a budget, I recommend disposable eyeliner brushes and the zimuvora set from Amazon. They come with 2 sets of 0, 2, and 4 for less than $10. Those are all you need!

Anyway I would love to hear what your favorite brushes are! I’m curious.

Sanding canvas after gesso

I sanded my canvas 24 hours after 2 coats of gesso. I lightly sanded with 220 sand block then with a 400.

I didn’t think it would make much of a difference. I only did it because I got my first set of fancy (Princeton Velvetouch) brushes and didn’t want them to wear out quick. BUT… it actually made the painting experience more enjoyable. I love how the paints dry smoother.

I use liquitex clear gesso. I didn’t mind the toothy texture of it but I love how the canvas was still grippy even without the tooth after sanding.

Anyway, I am not sure if I did my sanding correctly. I would love to hear how you prepare your canvas.

TIA!

Finished ACOWAR and now I’m having trouble to continue. Please give me motivation to read ACOFAS

I am not sure if this is allowed but I finished ACOWAR and have trouble continuing to the next book.

I’m debating if I should skip ACOFAS and go straight to ACOSAF or just starting Assasin’s Blade.

Any motivation to convince me to continue reading would be appreciated. Like a funny juicy chapter or something but without spoiling

Thank you

Disappointed in Number Artist

I heard great things about Number Artist. Apparently they are known as one of the PBN companies with great quality.

I ordered 3 kits with pre rolled canvas and all of them are badly wrinkled. They didn’t ship in a protective tube. I ordered kits from Canvas by Numbers and Davincified a few times and none of my pre rolled canvas have ever been wrinkled. All canvases arrived in great condition.

I haven’t tried it yet so I don’t know if the paint quality is good. Hopefully it is but I’m disappointed so far.

Anyway, any tips on how to get the wrinkles out?

I did a custom paint by numbers kit of my Pom

I love my baby so much so I ordered a custom paint by numbers kit and painted him. I’m so happy with the results.

Anyway, this is Dash! He is 13 years old. I adopted him when he was 6 years old.

Custom of my dog from Davincified

This is my first time using a kit from Davincified. I am really impressed with the paint quality. It was so nice to work with and made the experience very pleasant.

I bought the rolled canvas with 36 colors and stretched myself. I primed with clear gesso. I haven’t varnished yet. It took me about 43 hours to finish.
