Almost a minute of the Penfield fireworks from 350ft up
Managed to get to Penfield in time to see the fireworks. This is from about half a mile away and 350 ft above ground.
Happy early 4th of July, Rochester.

I apologize for the janky footage. This was shot with a phone and isn't the best quality. I had to zoom in to 4x to get anything more than a smudge.
It was bigger than my mini 4k pro and the hum was lower pitch. It's certainly not part of the mini series. Any ideas?
Thanks.
Not sure if he was angry or not, but he did a quick fly-by and didn't seem particularly thrilled with my drone trying to take video of a train. I think it was a swallow but any bird experts can correct me if I'm wrong. I was about 70ft off the ground at the time.
Got the title very wrong, so I deleted that and reuploaded this. Sorry! This was taken near Fairport about 20 minutes before sunset. Excuse the occasional bump, it was a bit windy when shooting this. The tiltshift effect was added in post. Works best on a monitor in full screen.
Too many people in the village so I shot this instead.
Location: Lyndon Bridge on the east side of Fairport near Macedon.
Found this shot of a train that someone colorized. Seems to work damn near perfectly for tilt-shift.
According to Google: This is the Milwaukee Road Viaduct crossing over Washington Avenue in Downtown Minneapolis during the 1940s. I tried to find out who did the original, but was unable to do so. If anyone happens to know or find out, please let me know so I can credit them.
Okay, I've been fooling around with tilt-shift footage in real life. I realized I could probably apply it to the game as well. It came out okay (the last one is a real life shot so you can compare to the game). Viewing on a monitor in fullscreen is suggested.
I might fool around with it some more eventually. But I thought I'd share for anyone who is interested.
First three pics are of the ongoing work on 490 near Pittsford. The next two pics are of a near by guard gate.
And, finally, some bad news. The last pic is of the Frank Zappa graffiti from April. It is no more. They took down that wall. It's been there for at least 40 years (and probably longer than that). While I don't condone graffiti, it was a rather iconic landmark that is no more. The price of progress, I guess.
Small experiment to see if I can get some decent tiltshift shots at night. I do like how they came out but need to experiment some more.
This was a prototype effect I was trying to do. This was largely based off this video (with a bit of tweaking). The question if have is does the stop motion effect (with added speed) add to the tilt shift or take away from it?
Thoughts?
A few quick 360 pan shots and this is the result. I do love me some golden hour photography.
He wasn't hurt, apparently.
I ALSO saw someone jump on to the ladder of a slow moving train, hang on for 50 ft and jump off. Train was only going 5 MPH, but c'mon.
This was a test run for another project. The angle isn't quite right, but it still works. I shall get a similar shot with better angles this summer and fall so everyone can see the transition from green to yellows and reds.
Small video project of train footage from a town outside of Rochester, New York. Enjoy! (Works best on a monitor in full screen.)
Small prototype tiltshift project. I'll add camera movement when I get out that way next. Davinci Resolve was used to color grade and add the tiltshift effect. (Best watched on a monitor in full screen,)
Enjoy.
