how easy are hopkins CS classes as someone with little to no experience in coding/cs
how are non stem clubs at jhu, what are the best clubs to get involved in as pre law
what would you recommend / how should i go about this? i’m interested in econ, policy, and technology policy research
In my preliminary transfer evaluation (coming from a CC in the DMV) they said they’d take probably 50, but now i’m being told intro econ is highly unlikely (not an econ major tho) and people are saying how strict they are, which kinda defeats the whole point of doing an Associate’s degree prior to getting one at a 4 year if I cannot graduate on time, but pls lmk if anyone’s had an experience with this!
If I’m a transfer student, would doing Hopkins in DC count towards my 60 credits needed at JHU to graduate? I know they don’t consider study abroad to be a part of the 60, but it’s not technically abroad and still taught there kinda?
I’m planning to need 2.5 semesters anyways, but still wanted to ask, cause i’d like to not take 15 credits every semester (at least my first to get used to the coursework)
social sciences too
incoming transfer and they’re being really strict in taking them both.
how hard is it at JHU? i’m doing moral and political economy so i won’t even need intermediate econ classes, just wish/hope they take my intro ones, considering that.
any good profs for it that make it easier?
Has anyone done this who’s not pre med? I’d be more on the politics side and I’m really interested in studying somewhere maybe over a summer at LSE/Oxford/Cambridge
How can I do this as an undergrad? I hear it’s application based but not super competitive
Hi! I’m really indecisive about Georgetown for this reason (and price), I’d be a junior and either would have to overload credits or do summer courses.
I’m interested in law and would likely be a government major, but I feel liek it might be too hard coming in as a junior and having to stay at the capital campus my first semester. I don’t wanna risk opportunity where I might go to my other option (JHU) where it’s more tight knit in humanities. Do any transfers have insights on this
junior into pre law, probably not going because of cost, but just curious cause it seems super competitive if i were to come in as a junior and start at thr capital campus for fall anyways.
What does it have for humanities / social sciences that other top schools (other than ivies, think gtown or something) might lack?
Just curious, I know Hopkins is t10 and not a known “target” for consulting, but how can someone get into it who goes there?
I assume that employers still SEE Hopkins as positive and a t10, it’s just cause not many students are into those things since it’s known for pre med.

is this common? i haven’t gotten an evaluation yet, but i hear they’re really stingy.
my pre evaluation / estimate is that they’ll take 50/62 of mine, but i’m hearing they’re really strict especially when coming from community college, but i’d like to graduate on time.
