Happy World Bee Day!

Joining the fun with this bumble bee photo! note: the antenna ghosting effect happens when the ambient light is not overpowered by the flash power and there's also camera or subject movement, which with a bee in flight photo there definitely is.

Adult European Starling in SoCal

Is black and white a no-go for wildlife photography or does it depend on the subject? I provided both versions here to compare.

American Coot

Hopefully next time I'll expose the beak better. Should I just use exposure compensation next time to underexpose? Using a6700 + 70-350mm, manual mode, wide open, 1250 s, center spot metering.

Can Patagonia create a dedicated line for Wildlife Photographers and/or Birders?

Edit: My main point was that if they’ve gotten to the point where they’re using esoteric symbols like squiggly lines, triangles, and or random graphics on stuff like t-shirts and capilene tops perhaps they could consider using graphics that appeal to outdoor photographers that shoot wildlife, nature, birds, insects, landscapes, all of it. Other examples: In the outdoor photography world you require rugged clothing that’s also flexible and large sun hats with a brim that can be flipped up in case your camera hits it when looking through the viewfinder, a photography style vest similar to their fishing one yet more specialized for camera accessories, camera bags with inserts, and the list goes on. I wasn’t saying that something was necessarily missing from their catalog, more like there’s a community that already uses Patagonia clothing and packs that would be well served by some more specialized stuff or at least given a nod with the graphics.

A red-whiskered bulbul  after bathing in a stream. BTW, their head feathers look like that all the time regardless.

Any recommendations? Since I usually photograph when I’m out walking a trekking pole that doubles as a monopod seems like a welcomed accessory too in case I can use a slower shutter speed vs handheld. Knee brace recommendations welcomed though so I can keep on keeping on in general.

It's fun to photograph these close up. They vary from very light to very dark earth tones.
