Hiking peaks in Colorado! 42f.

Mount Sherman, my thirteenth 14er. It’s so easy it shouldn’t even count tbh.

Mt Sherman for my 13th summit!

Lucky #13. After doing some longer peaks last year (la plata, bel/ox) it feels so nice to do a short easy one!! We flew up the mountain and felt so good. Talked to lots of first-timers and also saw so so many underprepared people 😳😳. Couple snow patches, one was a little spicy on the way down, but nothing too crazy. Weather was perfect!!!! Beautiful morning on the mountain.

Safe for running?

We are staying at the embassy suites south on S Harbor. Is it safe for me (a female) to run in the early morning (6 am ish) in this area?

Rate my Strategy

Hey all!! Our first trip to DL is coming up! We have DL on Sunday (a week from today) and DCA on Memorial Day. This post is about our DL plan. Please give me all your feedback!! Our general plan is ride a bunch of rides obviously but we are not crazy ride chasers, we want to still have a good time, take our time, visit shops, and not just run zig zagged all over the park. If that means we ride a couple less things, that is fine. My kids are 12 and 9.

Rope drop space mountain. LL on Indiana Jones at the same time. Spend time in Tomorrowland until it’s our time on Indy. Generally we will move clockwise. As we use our Indy LL we will next sign up for Tianas. We will spend time in Adventureland until it’s time for Tiana’s. If we get a late Tiana’s, we can head to fantasyland while we wait. Hit Tiana’s and LL big thunder mountain. Spend time in bayou / orleans. Head up to toontown when we are ready. The Star Wars area is our least priority. After we LL big thunder mountain, we will have done all of our top priorities. We will use any extra LL we might have left on redoing any favorites. End the day with the earlier Fantasmic and probably that’s plenty for my family.

Thoughts??? We plan to hit up gift shops and lunch when it makes sense based on our LL times.

Lightening Lane Question

We are headed to DL over Memorial Day and so excited! Here is my question. We are a family of 4 (mom, dad, 2 kids). We will be buying LL. My husband does not love rollercoasters and will be sitting some rides out. I don’t know that he will decide what he will / will not ride until he sees each ride.

If I book all 4 of us on a ride using LL but then he opts out, does that affect my ability to book him another LL after the 3 of us have scanned in? Does he need to decide before I book the LL to avoid this? So I can unselect him for that LL and not screw up the ability to book another as soon as we scan in to the ride?

Hope that makes sense and thanks!

Puzz 3D anyone?

My mom managed to meticulously save all 3 of my Puzz 3Ds from the 90s. My daughter and I just finished the first one!!

Rockies Home Run 5k, our fourth family 5k!

This was by far my favorite, it was so fun and the lines for hot dogs & beer were actually reasonable!
