Idk what’s wrong with me

I feel like my worst self comes into being when I’m with my family (Most of the time, not always). I wanna stay by myself most of the time but it ain’t possible to because I’m an only child. It’s always do this or do that. I’m currently doing an intern and i work 5 days a week and the other two days? I don’t even get most of the time to myself. Either i have to go with them somewhere or i do what they say. It only a few minutes to myself. I just want a few hours of peace. By myself. Without anyone telling me what to do. Im sick of them doing this. I’m just so tired. It’s so exhausting to be like this. I voice it out and somehow I’m the bad guy. My mom label me as the kid with no respect, and told my relatives about me being that as well. Idc tbh. Idc what anyone thinks of me but I’m exhausted. I barely wanna leave home atp. I hate going out. I just want time to myself.

AITAH for getting exhausted with my best friend?

I (20M) met a girl (20F) back when we first started university. Everything felt easy with her. We vibed together. Did everything together. Eventually parents became friends as well. Then we met this guy a while later and immediately hit it off. Later we were a trio and eventually his parents became friends with ours as well and we even began going trips together. Everything was well. Sometime later the guy caught feelings for my best friend and he got rejected like over 5 times because my best friend said he wasn't her type but later got together with him because she said he was nice to her. It was true though. He gave her the ultimate princess treatment. Was very thoughtful as well. Even the parents knew about this relationship. The guy knew about my friends last relationship and knew she had developed red flags after this but he was determined for them to 'heal together'. But things were going well between them. Fights happened of course was things were resolved.

But my friend was a little too toxic. When they would fight, she would occasionally say "I got options outside of this relationship, act well." or threaten to leave him (It was my best friend who told me that she said this to the guy). He would cry because he was hurt by all this but eventually everything would calm down. She had also said that 'This was her way, and she wouldn't change' and 'He knew what he was getting into when he got into a relationship with me'. I tried to give her a piece of her mind but the thing is, she is aware that its toxic and says she would change but she did not.

She was also beginning to become toxic towards me as well. My bf (20M) always brings food from home, and ever since we got together, he brings extra for me as well. That day too he bought some for me. My best friend wanted to eat this specific food so she asked me whether I could eat it too. I told her about my bf and this girl asked me to ask him to eat what he bought from home after university and to get what she is getting. I was pissed off by this and I told her off. She tried to gaslight me by saying 'Okay, fine. I will get it myself then.'

A day before that she was hangry and her bf was in lectures. Me, my bf and my best friend were sitting together. She eventually got so mad and scolded her bf for not coming sooner. He just finished his lectures and he sternly told her that. Apparently she didn't like his tone and was mad at him.

All of this went on for an year. The guy eventually got fed up and broke up with her. He said that he still loved her but he has to chose himself as this relationship has cost him himself. My best friend was devastated. Plus, her ego was hurt as well. My best friend is a very beautiful person. One look and guys fall for her (I'm not even kidding). She is the one who dumps and rejects guys but since they opposite happened, she is a little annoyed as well. So the guy told her not to tell anyone that she got dumped and asked her to say that they came to a mutual decision to break up. I thought maybe she would understand about what she did wrong.

Well...she did. For about 2 days. Her older brother had talked to her about this and he had said that the guy had tried to appear as the 'perfect boyfriend' so hard that he lost himself in the relationship, so maybe he was done and wanted to break up. Now she is saying there is only like a 20% fault from her. All the other things were the guys fault. I tried to talk to her but she is fixated on this. Her other friends had told the same except one.

After the breakup, the guy sent me a huge ass para saying why he broke up with her and that I should hear his side as well. Honestly, it all made sense. Her friends might say she is not wrong but they never interacted with him at all. I was best friends with both of them so I know. The other friend who also agreed that it was her fault too knew both of them.

Honestly, I'm exhausted. I don't wanna deal with her anymore. I only got another one year at uni or maybe 2. After that I am planning to go no contact with her (Or maybe in a few months, not sure). My bf also asks me to stay away from her because she made some nasty comments on my relationship as well. Like 'Ya all would break up too' and stuff. She called called the guy (her ex) 'an ugly fuck'.

How do I cut her off? What should I do? Its so exhausting. I just wanna clear my mind about whats going on but I feel bad because she is not taking it well. heartbroken asf.

WIBTAH if I cut her off ?

Srilankan Booktoker here; How do you collab with brands?

I (20F) am a booktoker based in Sri Lanka (Content creation in TikTok about books). Doing pretty well, reached 1K followers last yr. 4 videos of mine went viral with 400K+ views. Received one PR package to promote. Contacted by a bookstore to promote their sale as well. But I wasn’t active much lately. I wanna do even more well. I’m planning on becoming consistent with posting. But I need other tips on how I can get collaborations with books and other brands that are based in srilanka?

AITAH for being fed up with my best friend?

I (20F) have been friends with a girl (20F) for the past 3 years. We met at university and instantly hit it off. Later that year, she got into a relationship with a guy and was with him for about 4 months. We weren't THAT close as we are now but were close enough for her to say how things were going and how things ended with her ex. She is a really pretty girl. Very outgoing and extroverted. She is the girl that is loved by most. Back then when she was in the relationship, she was the 'lover girl' (Her words at the time). But because she got used by her ex, she did a full 360 with her personality. She watched all those motivation videos (Like wizard Liz) and read self help books. Some months after, she was the same person I became friends with but with more boundaries and 'high standards' in life. But at the same time, the relationship changed her to be toxic. She became more selfish. At the time it felt like she was choosing herself after her ex so it was that.

One year after that, we met this guy(20M) and we immediately hit it off. Later we became a trio. He was like the male ver. of us both. Some time later, he caught feelings for her and then they got together as well (That's another story lolll). The thing is recently, my bff acts so selfish a lot of times. I have a boyfriend (20M) and he brings food from home to university. His parents know about our relationship so she sends extra food for us to eat. That day, my bff's boyfriend wasn't there and she said she was craving this food and that she wanted me to come get it with her. I agreed since the place was only like 2 blocks away. She wanted me to eat the food as well but I said I couldn't since I knew my bf had bought me food from home. and then my best friend asked me to tell him to eat that after he got home so then all of us could eat what she wanted to eat. I told her off and she got really defensive and said 'Well, its fine then. I will go and get it by myself.' But I didn't want her to go alone because she isn't someone who can even cross the road by herself. Sometimes her parents ask me to stay by her in public.

Another thing of her is her relationship with her boyfriend. Whenever they have a fight she goes along the lines of "I have better options than you and its better you keep it in your mind". The guy loves her very much and is a very calm person so he tries his best to put up with her. Besides she is the one who tells me about their fights and what she told him. She always say along the lines of "I know I'm toxic but its better to stay like this so they know my worth".

These aren't the only things that happened and I am getting more and more fed up of her. I can't put up anymore with the gaslighting and manipulation she does sometimes. I tried to talk to her but there is nothing to make her aware about cuz she already knows about the way she is acting.

Idk...AITAH for feeling this way?

What degree would you choose in 2026 if you wanted the best long-term career prospects?

With AI advancing rapidly and the job market constantly changing, I'm curious to hear from people already working in various industries.

If you were starting university for masters, what degree would you choose and why? Which fields do you think will have strong demand and good opportunities over the next 10–20 years, and which ones would you avoid?

I'd especially appreciate hearing from professionals about what they're seeing in their industries rather than just predictions.

Should I do my degree part time or full time?

I (20F) did my foundations and enrolled in a Software Engineering degree at a private university in Sri Lanka. I am now in my 3rd year (Doing the internship currently). For the next year (Final year), we have to decide whether we would be doing the degree full time or part time. I could be a permanent employee at my current company after my internship but that would require me to do the degree part time and doing it part time means it takes like another whole year for me to finish my degree. My friends say that job experience matters when finding another and I think so too myself. But I don't know what to do. I could use your help.

AITAH for being mad at my bf because he can’t go to sleep without me?

I (20F) have been dating my boyfriend (20M) for the past 6 months. It’s been a thing between us to go to sleep while in call with each other. We call each other at night, talk for a bit and leave the call on until we wake up the next morning. Ever since we started doing this, my bf can’t sleep without me. Even if I’m out late, he stays awake most of the time to take the call. And I do the same. But the thing is, if I fall asleep while waiting for him, he keeps calling me until I wake up. One time , I accidentally fell asleep and he called me over 10 times to wake me up. But I don’t do that when he fall asleep. I call him twice max and if he doesn’t answer, I sleep without bothering him. I talked to him about this and he said he can’t fall asleep without me and that he will call me always. I feel so mad when he does it but I feel like he won’t listen. What should I do? And AITAH?

Need advice on continuing my small business after 1 year. Book sales have slowed down

I started a small business about a year ago, mainly focused on selling books, and I’m trying to figure out how to continue and improve it this year. The first year taught me a lot. I had some good moments, made mistakes, and learned things as I went. But recently, my book sales have really died down, and I’m not sure what the best next step should be. I don’t want to give up on it, but I also don’t want to keep doing the same things if they’re not working anymore. I feel like I need to be more strategic this year and understand what I should focus on. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has run a small business or dealt with slow sales.

Some things I’m wondering about:

How do I bring back customers when sales have slowed down?

Should I focus more on marketing, social media, branding, or changing what I sell?

What mistakes should I avoid in the second year of business?

I’m still learning, so any practical advice, personal experiences, or honest feedback would mean a lot.

I'm a software engineering student doing research into everyday problems Sri Lankan families face, and I keep hearing the same thing from parents around me: coordinating transport for kids especially to after-school tuition classes are genuinely stressful.

I'd love to hear your honest experience:

- How does your child currently get to school and tuition? (school van, three-wheeler, you drive them, public bus?)

- If you use a school van driver, how did you find them? How much do you trust them?

- What's the most frustrating part of the current situation?

Not selling anything, genuinely trying to understand the problem before building anything. Any honest answer helps even if it's "this isn't actually a problem for me."

Thanks in advance 🙏
