To the scruffy bloke with the attitude problem in Costa the other day

This is a massive longshot but honestly I’m still fuming.

I was quietly enjoying my afternoon coffee when I happened to mention to one of the staff that the girl with the blue hair and tattoos had been a bit rude earlier. Apparently that now counts as a crime because suddenly some random man decides to insert himself into the situation like he’s the Costa Avengers.

He starts lecturing me about how hard the staff are working and how I should be “grateful” someone made my coffee. Meanwhile this barista is dramatically apologising every five seconds like she’s auditioning for Customer Service: The Musical. Honestly, if she was that exhausted maybe she should’ve gone home instead of glaring at customers over oat milk shortages.

Then this bloke starts rambling about her tattoos and hair like he’s writing poetry in a motorway service station. Very odd behaviour. I told him to mind his own business and maybe get a haircut, which apparently offended him deeply. He responded with “get a grip" like a divorced dad discovering Twitter for the first time.

Anyway if the blue-haired girl sees this: congratulations on apparently having your own personal white knight now. Hope the queue survived the emotional support speech.

What's with all the troll posts lately?

Everytime I come on this Subreddit there is trolling, and shit posting going on. Does this happen in every city's Subreddit or is it just particularly Nottingham for some reason?

Re Montreal Screwjob

I know the dudes have said they'll never cover this, and fair enough. It has been done to death but my question is (ideally to OSW themselves).

If an Arc took you to that particular PPV, would you Glance over the Screw job or completely not acknowledge it? Or would the PPV be skipped all together. PAHHHHHHS

Question about Carcer City

Something I've never really understood is how the game even takes place. Is Carcer City a completely abandoned city bar the gangs/cops etc. Or are people out during the day then all go to sleep and totally not notice a snuff movie going on, as ok some areas are abandoned/out of the way but I'm sure some parts take place in like residential areas surely ?

If it is more or less completely abandoned, is that just some crazy fiction or are there districts/city's completely abandoned in America?

I got a new job in sales working for a company that sells access control systems, CCTV systems, etc. The chair in my cubicle was uncomfortable AF, so I day 3 I brought in my own Herman Miller Aeron chair. On day 4 it was missing. I looked around and another sales rep was sitting in it. I asked for it back but he basically told me to F off.

I went and spoke to the owner of the company. He told me that the chairs aren't reserved. They are first come first serve. I explained that I OWN the chair and it cost me $1800. He told me that I need to come in earlier if I want that chair.

The next day the same guy was sitting in it when I got to the office. I told him to give it back or I was going to call the cops. He refused. So I called the cops.

It was quite the scene, but in the end he admitted that he took my EIGHTEEN HUNDRED DOLLAR chair. I was prepared. I had the receipt which showed the serial number. (Yes, Aeron chairs have serial numbers.) They asked me if I wanted to press charges. My new boss said I would be terminated if I had him arrested, so I said "Absolutely! I want to press charges!"

My new boss fired me on the spot, so I carried my chair out with me a I was leaving. And yes, the cops arrested the dude who took my chair (He admitted to it!).

The dude who took my chair has been in the industry for about 15 years, but he's going to lose his security license, which means he won't be able to work in the industry. He's going to lose his job. I don't give a shit. He shouldn't have stolen my chair.

Am I the asshole for making this dude lose his job?

Long shot here, I was stood outside and you walked past to get inside, we exchanged glances. I then went to join my mates at the back of the pub to continue talking about football, as my mate said to me "what was wenger thinking bringing on Walcott that early" I said hello to you but you seemed abit scared/weirded out. Wish I didn't get the wrong end of the stick so we could have exchanged numbers, think you was wearing a shirt with black spots let me know if it was you.

On a good Watch. About that Time.

Everytime anyone says “On a Good Watch ”, I say “It's about that time ”. My Husband says that nothing to do with Nottingham but I can’t think why else I say it.

Commenters make me laugh though, because, you know, it's the interfering, it's the timing. Going on about he wants some moderating doing-it's red nose day, you know. Ooh, what's more important, you commenters, with your report, or some starving children?

Ooh I don't know. Ooh what would Lenny Henry say? I think we know-imagine him going out of the door on comic relief day and Dawn French is going 'Where you going, you haven't done the washing up. You haven't put the rubbish out.' 'Do it yourself I've gotta save some Africans.'
