How to deter mice from running along side of house?
They used to use this little thing to run along my house to get to my bird feeder which Ive since removed, but I still see them at night running on here. How can I deter them without killing?

Is it decent? What are the vibes like? Does it feel close enough to Cedar Rapids to have things to do?
My kid is considering it and we’re from another Midwest state but in a big city. My kid is interested in athletics offered and the block plan specifically.
Would love any insight - good or bad. I’m finding limited info.
This is all over the tree. I have a yard full of trees next to it so I’m worried it’s some contagious tree disease.
All I did was pick up the ball. Also he’s not fat at all this is a horrible angle don’t shame the old man.
I have pretty basic skincare routine with cleanser and moisturizer… how can I get my skin more smooth? Open to literally anything :) I have very fair skin and it can be a bit sensitive otherwise I’ll try a treatment or product.
This is going to sound odd but my old lady is not really tolerating vet trips as much anymore. She’s always hated them and taken a few days to recover from the trauma so I always stretch the time between them a bit. Now it just seems worse. She will hide and not eat for days after the vet. They treat her wonderfully she’s just… dramatic. She’s indoor only (allowed on the deck that’s been cat proofed). She’s always been healthy besides a couple small teeth issues but she’s 17 and so old and frail but still doing ok. That said, I just don’t want to traumatize her repeatedly while she seems so fragile. Is it ethical of me to stop going to the vet? I just have this bad feeling it will kill her from the stress or something idk.
My 10 year old (50% BC) dude
My urinalysis is constantly super high for oxalates (and calcium) and they’ve ruled out literally all the causes so it sort of is what it is… my diet is pretty low oxalate already. It’s just annoying. Anyone else? I’m being referred to a kidney doc but don’t expect much more info outside of diet recs which I already follow.
Redness, pores and texture and random acne that’s not really acne? It’s driving me insane. My skin was looking really great last few years but close to my 35th bday it starting to do weird stuff. I’m open to chemical peels or whatever is needed but would love to update my routine for long term to support smoother and more even skin. Any advice?
Morning:
- La Roche Posay Oil cleanser
- La Roche Posay SPF 30
Evening:
- CeraVe Renewing Salicylic Acid Cleanser
- La Roche Cicaplast Balm (lightly)
Every few days:
Accure seaweed face scrub
I also get Botox between my eyebrows because I had a major crease forming apparently from my RBF.
I am not very patient with retinol my skin seems to really hate it no matter how cautiously I go but I could try again.
I’ve been fully investigated and deemed to have idiopathic hypercalcuria. I also have high oxalates in urine. I have Graves’ disease and high blood pressure so I’m on meds for those. I’m only 33 and little lifestyle factors so kidney stones are a bit weird for me (I’ve been living pretty “healthy” since I first got my other diagnosis).
I had a terrible kidney stone that was removed with surgery two years ago and was peeing out blood hence the investigation into my urine.
Now I got prescribed Hemiclor as it will reduce calcium in my urine and also lower my blood pressure so I can ease off my other BP med too.
It’s a newer drug so I’m curious if anyone else has tried it? I’m nervous about it and I have no idea why.
Appreciate insight!
Sorry for the weird pic I felt like this showed it clearly. I do Botox forehead only because I have mega wrinklage when I raise my brows but otherwise my skincare is pretty simple:
AM 1- oil cleanser La Roche Posay
AM 2- La roche sunscreen Ceramide and Niacinamide - SPF 30
PM 1 - cerave SA cleanser
PM 2 - La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5
I’m open to all options but ideally something I can throw into the daily mix since the other stuff is so expensive. I could save for something though. I don’t use retinol because no matter what my skin hates it even if i space it out etc. Ive tried a few times.
They seem to like it but I think this was meant for fruit which I didn’t feel like dealing with. Is there any issue with this just hanging out and not on a cage?
My guy is 75%BC, 25% super mutt. He’s 60lbs and acts purely like a BC.
He’s had hip dysplasia since he was a baby. He plays fetch like a lunatic every single day. Lately he’s been sitting kinda weird like this. His stance seems wider than usual? He’s 10 years old. Curious if anyone how’s anything about this? He was at the vet not long ago and everything was fine.
Also my toddler has somehow trained him to sit to get his hair done… she was spraying water on him in this pic. He’s a good boy.
I’ve been somewhat in remission for like 3 months now and feel ok. But I got COVID a month ago and I’ve had some graves symptoms ever since, but nothing like majorly bad. Just night sweats and feeling a bit shakey and heart racing. I don’t know if it could’ve been covid related and not graves though.
Im still on methimizole which is why I said somewhat in remission because I’m not free of meds yet. I’m due for labs but I skipped last week because I actually just didn’t want the results…. I’m gonna go Monday though.
Just curious if anyone’s actually been able to pinpoint what put them out of remission? Can stress do it?
What could this noise be? It does this randomly hours after I’ve been parked in the garage. Lasts about 5 mins or so. 2019 cross trek. Sounds like it’s coming from the rear somewhere

My teenager is playing a pretty competitive level of soccer with a new club and is doing great, but is struggling beating people to the ball in a sprint.
She’s always ran a good mile and has good endurance but feels she’s literally just not fast enough. Shes started running regularly outside of soccer but she asked me to help her get faster and frankly idk how, I assumed more running helped but I think that’s just helping general endurance. We don’t have fancy equipment. Is there anything she can do at home or outside to help?
Also just want to clarify, I personally am fine with how she plays but I see how frustrated she is because IF she’d get to the ball first, she’s probably crush them, she just cannot seem to get there when it’s a 1v1 foot race to the ball. I just want to offer her solid advice since I can’t afford to hire someone. I can tell she’s putting 100% in.
This wasn’t an issue at all at the last club- she was considered very fast, I can’t tell if she’s gotten slower from the off season or if it’s just the higher league play that she’s not used to?
Looking for just a few relatively easy things to start with. Thanks!
