Started my own RC store and in-house accessories

Hello hello, I've been fascinated by RC for some time now. As a full-time mechanic at the age of 25, I've started a side hustle of starting my very own RC track/store specialized in Rock Crawling and Construction in Katy, Texas. Due to funding, I've opted for a lean approach by making a course on a trailer and making my store mobile for pop up events, great for sharing our favorite hobby to the public! Following the LLC filing, I created an online store and wanted to share the accessories I make (Each one engineered using CAD and plenty of failed prints during prototype).

Have been to 2 events so far, and the number of people who don't know it exists is... crazy! So far we have flags, roof rack accessories, traffic cones, etc. Soon to have RTR's but working on securing a dealer - we do, however, have a partnership with Injora, and will soon house their parts. The kids absolutely love the trailer, witnessed them pulling their parents over to try our cars. We also offer birthday and corporate events with a fleet of various RC vehicles

Mechanic Burnout

Hope all of you are doing well.

Just wanted to rant and say at 25 im starting to hit what feels like the end of my career. I graduated with a degree in automotive and during school I secured a job at a Nissan dealership. It was (at the time) my dream job at 18, since I had a 370z I loved to work on. After 8 years, I'm starting to regret my life choices. Worked my way up from a porter to lube tech, and now an established mechanic after years of work.

Moved across the states and worked for a Hyundai dealer, worked my butt off, invested in tools, after a few years Hyundai ripped every technicians certifications out of the blue - by then I was exhausted of my shop foreman so I quit.

Months later I finally found a job at a collision center, and at the time was a dream come true again. It's not what I wanted, I tried for months landing an interview for any white-collar office job, I have so many computer skills since I started PC gaming at the age of 10. Along with video editing, photography, CAD engineering, etc.

Anyway I got along well with my manager, work load was minimal for high pay, that lasted about 6 months until we got new management. Now it's turned into a nightmare. New manager expects 150% overclock workload, dude is here from 8am to 9pm and expects his workers to do the same. Guilt tripping and gaslighting, for example, I've recently started a new LLC not related to the field at all, which requires capital from my side (banks are ruthless and no angel investors in sight), when explaining I have to dump half my paycheck for 15% of what I need to get started, manager says thats chump change, then goes on to tell me what he makes a year (which tbh really discourages me to keep going). Or getting a job that requires 8-9 hours of work he comes over and says "its gonna be done in 2 hours no?". Not to mention the countless health hazards from body techs blowing body filler everywhere rather than sweeping, or paint not using the booths.

Overall I am exhausted and burned out, if I didn't rely living paycheck to paycheck, and even more so now with starting a business, I would've quit a long time ago. It sucks because being an A B student I could've followed what my family told me, and could be doing something completely different with half the workload and triple the pay. I really don't know how some of you do this your entire life, to be fair the majority of people that are older have told me get out while you can, its sad to see so many people feel forced to stay where they are at. I decided I am no longer adding or replacing tools, just hoping for a miracle with this business so one day, I can live a different life

end of my rant, hoping at least one person can relate and maybe share your story?

Have a Kyosho miniz 4x4 jeep I use at the beach every time I take my jeep out there. Decided to splurge and get a new (and better) crawler. Also bought metal wheels and headlight wire harness. Looking to 3D print roof rack accessories but what other performance mods would you recommend?

Did notice the shocks don't like returning the body back upright, hoping thats due to being brand new out the box
