Colors, proportions and overall anatomy based on the lizards of the genus aspidocelis, pholidoscelis and Salvator

Tropidurus hispidus is a medium sized lizard from the tropidurus genus. It has Sharp queratinized overlapping scales that are also fairly flexible and dont give too much weight for the animal. Is this a good genome?

An adult male tropidurus hispidus that i caught recently in the cerrado ecosystem in Brazil

Encontrada debaixo de tábuas de madeira numa região do bioma cerrado. Parece ser um indivíduo adulto.

So this is a male tropidurus hispidus that i called Cocco that was tamed from my Backyard (yes the Brazilian govemnent allows it as this isnt a endangered species) in the early 2025 when he was only a juvenile. When i started feeding him crickets, beetles and sometimes fruits, but he still can hunt normally in his territory. He went from around 11 cm to 20 cm in less than 2 months.

Now in the middle of 2026 he is around One year old and is much larger than the average for the species, with a total length Of 33 cm and a body length of 12 cm (average size is around 22 cm). Cocco lives with several others lizards of his own species (which are all smaller than him of course), birds etc but i pretend making a terrarium for him.

Any advices on his nutrition? He seens healthy?
