I left my washing hanging outside you are welcome!

If it’s raining where you are it’s because I told myself “I’ll just get the washing from the line in the morning, it’s not gonna rain anyway!”

I also went back and forth with a watering can to water my plants today “because it’s not like it’s gonna rain today”

What can I say except, You are welcome!

My routines are not working (again) Part 2 Living room Recovery

I thought I had created momentum yesterday but I obviously didn’t because I’m still frozen in place!

So to make sure I get up and actually do it here is cleaning recovery part two!

The living room is a little time consuming to clean because I have to move stuff around so this time I will see you in about 90 minutes possibly two hours but I don’t think it will take me that long.

I miss the days I could get it done in 15 minutes ugh

My routines are not working! (Again)

If you have adhd you might be familiar with how routines eventually stop working. Every day I’ve been telling myself I’m gonna clean today and then I don’t. I’ve been stuck in this loop for weeks now. I’m so mad at myself for making it build up again the house was so lovely just a few weeks ago.

I’m not dealing with lots of clutter anymore but it’s all bit messy and quiet frankly grubby now. The house smells kinda doggy and stale too which I hate. I hate bad smells.

All I’ve barely managed to do is keep on top of the dishes but only because I have a dishwasher and the taking the rubbish out but not so much the recycling.

So today I’m gonna commit to keep just one area of my house clean and go from there.

I’m committing to keeping the kitchen clean until I have the capacity to add another area of room.

I’ll be back in about one hour with a progress update since this will help me keep the promise I made to myself!

Do I need to listen to any other SK books before I start the Dark Tower Series?

I just finished the stand yesterday I’ve already listened to 11/22/63, the outsider, the holly gibney series I almost finished the shining but I think I’m gonna get the audiobook. I don’t actually know if any of these have anything to do with the dark tower other than the stand.

Are there any other books which will make listening to the dark tower series more enjoyable? I do want to crack on with it tbh but I don’t mind adding a few more books that might give me more context or is it not worth it?

I’ve also purchased the talisman series but that comes after right?

I think my IBS-D was caused by a lack of fibre in my diet

I haven’t had an IBS flare since I gradually increased my dietary fibre intake over the last 7-10 days.

I simply started eating oats and chia seeds for breakfast as well as including more veggies and fruits with my meals.

So if you haven’t tried it yet, try more fibre!

Don’t forget to drink water so you don’t end up constipated.

I can’t believe I didn’t try this sooner!

Has anyone tried the Harvard healthy eating plate instead of calorie counting?

I was wondering if anyone was able to stabilise their weight long term by using the healthy eating plate as a tool instead of calorie counting.

I do need to lose weight however I would like to focus more on healthier eating habits rather than food restriction just to reach an arbitrary goal weight.

I’m 5’6 and weigh 104kg or 229lbs or 16st5 and it’s gotten to the point I need to do something about it because I feel physically uncomfortable. I developed an apron belly after a c-section and it’s my belief it’s weakening my pelvic floor muscles and causing my urinary symptoms.

I have used calorie counting as a tool before but it encouraged disordered eating habits so I absolutely do not want to be back there, I get anxiety just thinking about it.

So did you try it? Pros and cons? Tell me anything you feel it’s relevant! Ta

Stupid question(s) why does time stop near a black hole?

Edit: Guyss! Thank you!! I am reading your responses I just find it hard to reply because I’m actually contemplating your answers!

More stupid questions:

Does a black hole have a shape? Is it a sphere? It’s not a literal hole right?

Does a black hole being massive imply a physical size? Or could its physical size be like a very massive marble? Sort like Thor’s hammer if that makes sense just not hammer shaped.

I don’t fully understand the concept of space time especially when it’s described as a fabric.

Is the universe a flat plane?

Does gravity pull objects in or does the objects mass push gravity? I dunno if this question makes sense

I have more stupid questions but it would take all day.

I promised I have looked this stuff up, watched documentaries but every time I think I get it my brain short circuits, the immensity and scale becomes incomprehensible again.

Potting bench recommendations

I think it’s time to get a potting bench! I’ve really enjoyed sowing my own seeds this year. It’s so much cheaper and so much more rewarding than buying annuals every year.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

Can you help me identify my Peter Beales Climbing rose please?

I picked the only pot without the information tag in it, I honestly cannot remember what it was called.

I’m new to roses so I really need to look up the planting/care instructions.

Also how do I choose which side of the plant to face the wall? I will probably plant it out tomorrow morning I need to set up all the wires first.

House has gone to sh#t

Backstory: I have raging adhd so keeping an housekeeping routine takes all my mental energy as it is. Recently I had the bright idea of renovating my front garden which wiped me out as well as taking all attention away from my house chores.

Long story short my house is really grubby from all the gardening and accumulation of dust everywhere!

I set a timer for 2 hours with breaks in between. I’m working in 30 minutes slots all I need is for you guys to check on me at the end of every slot or whenever really. I will post picture evidence as proof of progress.

If I can get my downstairs/stairs smelling fresh and the bathroom scrubbed I’ll be very happy!

Here is a picture of the current progress and what’s still to come.

Wish me luck!

I fucked up so bad please don’t judge me too hard!

Ready .. set .. go! See you at 13:30 I have to do this before I lose my mind!

What kind of palm is this?

I inherited this plant when I moved into this house and I was wondering if it will grow any taller? It’s planted really close to the fence I doubt it can be moved it seems well established.

Front Garden progress UPDATE

I know it’s not a perfect job but hopefully as I continue to look after the front garden it will look better as time goes on.

I wanted to do no dig to preserve the soil structure as well as preventing more weeds seeds and roots being stirred up in it, however it was rock hard and super bumpy so I had to get my tiller out.

I will eventually do a better with the pavers they are pretty wobbly but I guess it will do for now!

I will probably remove the plastic garden edging once the grass has established.

I got a little excited and got some plants before I had actually finished setting up the border (whoops)

So far I have an hydrangea paniculata vanille fraise, a shrub I don’t remember the name of for winter interest, a viburnum plicatum kilimandjaro sunrise and an honeysuckle climber. I did buy some hostas roots in Costco but it hasn’t grown yet, the peony root will take time to establish. I will also put a window box planter with trailing plants sometimes this week. I’m also growing some seedlings but I’m inexperienced so I dunno if they will actually turn into plants.

I’m aiming for light pink, white and soft yellows as a colour scheme.

Future plans include:

- naturalising the lawn with some bulbs and hopefully installing a low fence on both sides.

- I might also get a large planter for the bay tree I found in the back garden when I moved in.

- Installing a trellis for the honeysuckle.

- Adding mulch/bark to the border.

I tried my best!

Plants/general suggestions welcome!

Should I give up on this peony?

I inherited this peony but unfortunately I had to move it to a different spot in the garden. It never grows beyond this point, I know they won’t flower once they are moved but should it still look like this in May?
