I’ve been hearing that Morrowind (Steam) and OpenMW 0.51.0 are compatible with Linux (CachyOS). I just recently built one of those BC250 machines and since I travel for work I’d love to be able to take my modded Morrowind build from my windows machine and “copy it” to my Linux machine. Has anyone done this? I don’t have many mods. Just a few that make it look prettier and Morrowind Rebirth.

If anyone has a resource I can read into or knows if Ican just copy and paste my mods over to my Linux machine that’d be swell. I’ve fallen in love with Morrowind again and traveling is getting in the way. This N’wah has bills to pay…

I just spun up a new server for funsies and decided to add a few datapacks. Of course, something is throwing an error but I've never been very good at figuring out what exactly is causing the issue.

How do you all go about tracking down what datapack is causing an error?

I want to better understand whats causing this. I tried to TP to this UUID throwing the error but it says there nothing to TP too which makes sense. The issue I have is I have no idea which datapack is causing this.

This isn't really a "help me fix my server" but more of a "where do you start in order to identify what is causing the issue in the first place" kind of question.

Marked as tutorial because this specific server means nothing to me aside from learning how to troubleshoot and decrypt what this error is telling me.

Who here agrees that Dreamcast HDMI Mods just cost way too much. Dreamcast is one of my favorite consoles. Way before it’s time. The pricing these days for HDMI mods is staggering. I understand the short production runs and personal time sunk into these projects but does it warrant nearly $230 for say a DC Digital 2? Has anyone used one of these?

For that money emulation seems to be a far better solution but for us hardware lovers that’s just not enough. I already miss the disc drive noises after installing the GDEMU years ago. Some things just won’t be the same and I’m sure pricing won’t come down.

What’s your solution for getting close to HDMI on modern panels and why is it more economical than the above mentioned HDMI mod. Are there any new mods in this regard that cut the price or are we stuck with sky high prices?

Note: I would like to add that I’ve been using the Pound HDMI converter for Dreamcast and it’s alright but washes out the image with an uncontrollable brightness.

I noticed the update the other day. 610.x.x. Loaded up a few games and still no native HDR support and FH6 is still somewhat broken. I’m just wondering when we’ll see that support so I can really drop windows. I love the spooky games. That OLED HDR black is chefs kiss which leaves me relying on windows to play those game. RE: Requiem… amazing.

Anyways, how have the other Nividia people faired? Noticed any improvements over the 595 drivers?

Title says it all. What do you think will happen when SteamOS finally drops for all devices (PC mainly)? Will Bazzite user counts go down? Do we flock to Lord Gaben’s poster child for fun? How does Bazzite compete?

Personally, I’d probably stay on Bazzite unless theres a really compelling reason to switch. I’ve sunk months into this OS. Certainly not going back to Microsoft.

I just hope that if and when it happens it doesn’t jeopardize the community we have here and that Bazzite will still continue to grow and thrive afterwards as I’m sure it will. If anything, it may get better!

What kind of FPS is everyone seeing these days? 1% lows? Stuttering still?

A year later and I'm still having issues that just hurt my brain. The small micro stutters literally make my eyes hurt. My (TBI) brain expects one thing but sees another and freaks out. Has anyone found the magic fix? I generally have a hard time playing games if I can't get a consistent frame rate.

For context I have a 7800X3D, 32gb RAM, and a 5080. I figure that should be enough to play at whatever the default settings are but the stutters are ruining it for me. I've tried frame gen, no Lumen, but obviously I want it to look as good as it can.

If anyone has figured it out please let me know. I want so bad to lose myself in this game like the old days but my life has changed a bit since then.

Tried to remove the Nullscape Data Pack from our Paper server (26.1.2-53) so we could re-roll our End. Nullscape was a bit too much for us. Started by stopping the server, moved the "the_end" folder to a different backup folder, then deleted the Nullscape mod from our datapack folder. Restarted the server. Got this odd error.

Any idea how to fix this?
