Is this job offer a scam?

Hi there!

My husband and I love Tarot but between the two of us, he definitely has all the gift. He makes his own spreads whereas I struggle to pull a clear message out of a standard Celtic Cross. He's always doing free readings for family and friends, and recently at a group reading the local Witch store's owner noticed how talented he is. She offered him a position at her store and to participate at a local event next month but there are a few things she's saying that sound a little off, but we know nothing about the industry so maybe they're normal?

First, she said he'd need to get Tarot insurance (it's like 15 bucks), which I get. I've seen people end relationships over a Tarot reading and I get that you wanna be protected if someone decides you gave them bad advice.

Second, she'd be taking 30% of what he reads. Also fair, she has to run a business.

Third and most questionable, she's saying that for this local fair he needs to pay for a spot to read. It's unclear if she'd still be taking 30% off the top. He told me last night that for the table and booth this was gonna be $160 up front. I asked why he doesn't just contact the fair directly and get a spot separate from the store but it might be too late for that?

This lady is semi-successful on tiktok and she says she made $1200 doing readings at this fair last year, and that this fee is "less then 20% of possible earnings." She also said Tarot is a 30k-100k/year profession once you get established. I fully believe if he gets the right opportunities he could fulfill a dream and have a great side gig, he just needs help getting started from the business persepective. Her helping him get started seemed like a dream come true but as things go on we're wondering if this is standard practice or if she's taking advantage of him. Any advice or experience you have would be amazing, thank you in advance 💜

Is this the same Dr. Poi Sonai as the one we've been discussing lately?

Google AI at first thought I had misspelled a medical doctor's name, but eventually gave me this answer and this LinkedIn Profile . Is this the same giant I saw in a Wikipedia screenshot here recently or some other lauded expert in AI development?

You step through the Nightmare Fog, hoping that this time, this time you might fell the corpulent beast. However as you as you pass through, he immediately swings an entire canoe on a chain in your direction. What name pops up on the healthbar?

I have my hopes for the finale but every season seems to go like this:

I know we're getting close to the end but I can't help feeling like we're gonna just end up worse off with more people dead on another hunch

Good news! JD Vance has risen from the dead!

I just finished watching a Fox News segment with RFK Jr. Where they explain that the coffin wasn't vandalized, JD Vance was simply coming back to life as side effect of his faith and health. The apparent vandalization was just him using his immense strength to rip open his own casket. After killing Pope Francis last year on Easter, he absorbed the power of Jesus. This has been used by Popes sparingly since being gifted to the first Pope by Jesus upon his ascension. They mostly used it to pass their consciousness on to the next Pope (serving as the inspiration for the Bene Geserit in Dune) and perform the occasional act of healing, however JD Vance was able to wrest control of this power by subtly injecting Pope Francis with the COVID vaccine, killing him and taking the power for himself in less that 24 hours, and more importantly denying this power to Pope Leo. He had planned on using it to make an eternal God Emperor of America who would act as president for several thousand years, however the previous avatars were able to wrest control long enough to contract the rabies he very publicly died of on June 5th, 2026. However, as RFK Jr. explained on Fox News this afternoon, through extreme physical and mental conditioning, as well as a strict routine of raw water and unpasurized milk, he was able to channel all the remaining energy bestowed by Jesus into a resurrection. This sadly spent what power from Christ was left on this earth, meaning we will never be able to summon him back and carry out the book of Revalation, and even worse, the eternal God Emperor of America has been killed in his infancy, but it does mean that the Popes are gone and JD Vance lives again. You can watch this interview in its entirety here. This is the best news we've had since his very public and well documented death on June 5th 2026!

Appreciation post for Gooseworx before the finale drops

I was planning on doing this before all the Drama but now it's needed more than ever

Goose, thank you so much for creating this wonderful story for me and my friends to experience.

Thank you for making trans media where being trans isn't the center of the plot.

Thank you for putting up with a mountain of toxicity from people who ask you to be perfect but will judge you either way.

Thank you for launching us into a new era of indie animation. You've done something completely new and despite the stress it's amazing.

You're the first indie animation show to get an international movie deal. I don't care if it got leaked, I'm marveling at what you've accomplished.

You got me to read I Have No Mouth & I Must Scream

You made me rewatch each episode half a dozen times analyzing every frame for clues

You made me cry multiple times

You're hilarious, you're valid (🏳️‍⚧️), you're insanely talented, you don't deserve any of this bullshit, and you do deserve as long a rest as you feel you need.

I wouldn't blame you for stepping away from the industry forever after the treatment you've gotten, but I hope you don't. I hope someday (long after you've recooperated) I get to read watch or play something else you made. You're worth it

I don't care what happens tomorrow in that theater or how people react. I care about you and the amazing digital adventure you took us on.

Again, thank you so much, and happy Pride girl ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls.

It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it.

Some people think it's a myth.

But if you're curious, don't wait.

Take a trip.

Find it.

It's out there,

somewhere in the woods.

Waiting.

Grunkle Stan needs your help getting elected!

Idk how many of you have been following the r/geographymemes vote, but we need to take back the falls!

Cascadia (Oregon) has made it to the final match-up against Megasota and we just put it into a poll because the top comment system was getting chaotic. Vote FOR Cascadia so it can become the final state and Grunkle Stan can finally put "corrupt president" on his tombstone! Link in comments
