I asked what to watch first like 2 days or so ago. So, I just decided to start from the older version of GITS first.

I'm on SAC now, I completed both movies yesterday. And I will have to say, my reaction probably differs from the most of you. I saw how many people were glazing 1995 movie.

I liked it, it was a great movie, the entire psychological horror vibe, but Idk man, I just loved Innocence even more, somehow. The key moment that got me really hyped up in Innocence was definitely the virtual reality that Tosuga experienced when he and Batou had gone for Kim in the mansion, that was creepy as hell.

1995 was awesome, the story of 2501, and the exchange between it and Kusanagi at the end were amazing.

It's apparent that 1995 has more budget than Innocence, the staff had much more work to do so they had to use cgi in parts, it seems. But somehow, it stood out more to me than the 1995 movie did. Also, not that this is very important, but aside from the cgi, the animation of Innocence was much much smoother than 1995, it felt like I was watching it at 90 fps.

If I talk about the starting, 1995 probably had the strong start between the two. But the slice of life moments between Batou and his cyborg dog were also gold, ngl.

I can't really describe what I felt well. But the vibe and everything else that I felt watching Innocence were greater and more... satisfactory(?)... than when I was watching 1995. Not to say 1995 was bad in any way, of course.

Batou's face opening up in Tosuga's virtual experience scared the hell out of me, I almost screamed.

I love how both movies have the cyborgs eyes so cool, like they all look so creepy with wide eyes and the fold of their eye lids around the corners, they don't feel human at all, not that they are. They did a good job on the expressions. This is something that SAC doesn't have that much, but then again, it's a series while those are movies, has to be a difference in budget and quality, of course.

It's probably the experience of watching 1995 movie that made Innocence even better for me, the prior knowledge about the world and characters. Both movies were awesome, but If I would rate 1995 GITS a 9, then Innocence would be 10.

I like Side Scrolling games, I want more. Other than: Inside, Little Nightmares, Limbo, Unravel and DARQ. Hopefully, if it has good graphics, or maybe a good story, just needs to be good. Appreciate it.

Chapter 2993:

Sunny paused for a moment, and then laughed:

"Nephis... all the gods and all the demons in the world won't be able to make me leave you again. So don't you leave me behind, either."

The eastern horizon ignited with a beautiful golden radiance by then. The suns were rising above the Great River, promising a new day.

But Sunny and Nephis were not meant to witness this dawn. Theirs was a different path — a path through the broken eternity that led to a world drowning in darkness. The darkness was cold and dangerous.

But they were going to brave it side by side... Because they were lost in the darkness together.

Nephis was feeling overwhelmed. She had recently used her powers, but after remembering Sunny whom she had forgotten, she was suddenly feeling so much. Sorrow, frustration, anger, love.

Nephis had burried her face in Sunny's shoulder, basking in his familiar warmth. She said quietly, he voice shaking with a hint of profound sadness.

"The two of us... Cassie and me, had been the three of us all along. You, me and Cassie, Sunny. We had been together."

Sunny remained quiet for a while, embracing Neph firmly as he looked up at the sky, remembering the old days of them being together, probably. With a soft smile on his face, he said wistfully.

"Yes. The three of us... are now together once again."

Nephis hugged him tighter, she wasn't willing to let go of him after so long of being away, after so long of not remembering him, not being able to remember him. She had been powerless against the boundless dominance of Fate. Nephis knew that worrying about that won't help it, since Fate was something that stood on a higher pedestal than even the Gods themselves.

But it still hurt, to not being able to remember Sunny, she had been with him, when he was the Lord of Shadows, or Master Sunless. Even when he named himself Sunny, but she was never with Sunny himself. Her Sunny, the Sunny she had known all along, from the gates of the Awakened Academy till the depths of the Third Nightmare.

Why did it need to happen? All those years of being separated were weighing on her mind more and more as she regained her humanity by the time.

Sunny shook a little then, he hesitated a bit, then said,

"Uhh... Neph? I think we should go now. Ananke must be waiting for us."

Nephis didn't respond, she knew they needed to go back. But she didn't want to separate from Sunny, not for a while more.

Then, Sunny's voice came again, a bit shocked now.

"Nephis?"

She looked up at him, wondering what got him so shocked. She wished there was no Nightmare Creature at this moment. Fortunately, that didn't seem to be, as Sunny was looking directly at her face. His voice came a bit confused.

"Why... Why are you crying?"

Nephis was a bit confused, she touched her face, her face was wet with tears, she was so lost in her thoughts, in the sadness and joy of finally being together with Sunny again.

She was crying.

Sunny raised his hand and wiped her tears with his thumb. He looked at Nephis and smiled mischievously.

"So, you are capable of crying. Guess it was worth losing my fate, after all."

That only earned him a dark glare from Nephis who was embarrassed now. As Sunny looked away with a little smile on his face, clearly happy. Nephis felt her cheeks were burning up. She didn't intend to cry, she didn't even know she was crying.

He was standing so close that she could hear his heartbeat… and her own.

The suns were shining brightly, illuminating the world with a million shades of yellow, orange and pink.

In that radiance, his lips looked even softer. She remained silent for a while, then said.

"Sunny."

Only war awaited them ahead.

As Sunny turned his face towards her, Nephis placed her hands on his shoulders, she gently pulled him in and leaned forward.

Her heart was beating like a caged beast.

When their lips touched gently, it was as though the whole world was engulfed with heat.

And Nephis wasn't satisfied with that gentle touch. She was hungry for more.

Wrapping her hands around him, she pulled him closer, until their bodies were pressed tightly against each other, with no space for anything except passion between them.

Sunny slowly raised his hands and embraced her, as well, responding to her kiss.

At the same time, their kiss grew more passionate, as if both had been starving for each other's lips for a long, long time.

And, intoxicated by the taste of him...

Nephis finally felt complete.
