How do you keep hobbies from turning into another responsibility?
Ive noticed I have a bad habit of turning anything I enjoy into something I need to be good at. I started knitting because it looked relaxing, but soon I was watching tutorials and getting annoyed when things looked bad. Same with baking. I dont want every hobby to become another thing I need to improve at. I just want to be bad at something and enjoy it. Anyone else have this problem?
I stopped picking at the skin around my nails without even noticing
I ve had this stupid little habit for years where I'd pick at the skin around my nails whenever I was bored or thinking about something. Id always tell myself to stop, especially when Id make one of my fingers sore, but Id eventually start doing it again without even noticing. A few weeks ago I realized my fingers actually looked normal for once, and then I realized I hadnt picked at them in a while. I genuinely have no idea when I stopped. Im just happy my fingers finally got a break.
I left my umbrella at the checkout again
I was buying a few things and left my umbrella on the checkout counter. I didn't notice until a security guard came jogging after me with it. This has happened three times this year. I've never forgotten my phone or wallet, just umbrellas. The worst part is he recognized me this time. I guess I'm the umbrella lady now.
