Saw it on the big screen last night with Michael Ironside

Took my Dad along. Figure I have him to thank for showing me this classic when I was only 6 years old lol. Michael told some funny stories about making the movie. I finally know how they did the arm decapitation effect, as well as why his kiss with Stone was so....intense, lol.

Can anyone help me put song files on my Surfans F20?

I've only done this one time when I initially bought it (about 3 years ago) and don't know why my PC (Windows 10) isn't recognizing it. Troubleshooting videos aren't helping me, and I didn't use M3U dropper last time either. It was simple "drag-and-drop" like how you'd move any files from one folder to another.

My parents have a beehive outside their condo in Kings Point and they don't know what to do. Please help

I'm sorry for shooting a long shot here but does anyone nearby (who possibly also lives in a 55+ community here in Delray) know what the protocol is in Kings Point regarding the association, rules, regulations, etc.... regarding beehive removal? I don't live with them and don't know if the Complex have particular pest control companies that are "on call" or have some sort of deal with the complex, or if it's flat out against the rules of the complex to allow any "freelance" pest control to remove a beehive.

My parents are over 70, not cell phone oriented (all they've done thus far besides tell me about it is call the Vice President of their section of the complex, who didn't answer. Thankfully they left a message and hopefully they called the right number), and are stuck in a bad place. Even worse, the screen that keeps things out of their patio is both ripping off at the stitching/perimeter of the window, and there's a few holes in the screen as well.

Holes/openings means it won't be long before one of them gets into my parent's patio. Once they're in my parents' patio, then it wont be long before the bees are in their condo.

So I come to you, my parent's local neighbors for ANY advice/help on this situation (as well as recommendations IF any pest control is allowed to work in the complex when they're given a job). They just called me to tell me of this issue and I literally just got off the phone with them before putting this out.

THANKS!!!

EDIT

Just got off the phone with my folks again. Apparently the pest control in conjunction with their particular section of the complex cancelled service February of last year despite the fact that the sign near their mailbox says there was service on the 18th of this month. No call-back from the V.P yet either.

For the Florida condo owners who exercise at home

South Florida fitness-loving resident here with hopes to someday own a home. Finance-wise I know I'll never be able to buy a house, so a condo will (hopefully) be in my future someday. Now, I know many complexes already have their own gyms, and I'm willing to use the treadmills while in the presence of others. However, working out-wise, I prefer my privacy (It's harder for me to focus when it's exercise-rest-exercise-rest, compared to running when I can stay "locked-in, as they say).

So for my neighbors out there in this state, whom live in complexes and exercise in their homes, can you provide a breakdown regarding things like:

  • your association's rules regarding home gym equipment. Are there weight limits, and if so, how much?

  • neighbors possibly complaining about noise. As I sometimes exercise twice a day and obviously don't wanna bother my neighbors later at night (or at 5 am, for that matter).

  • which floor mats you use/recommend, along with any particular equipment that's best for home-use.

I just want a good idea of what to expect if this fateful day ever comes for me. For example: I understand that the really heavy mats, while pricey, are your best bet regarding noise and floors/walls shaking when placing down barbells/dumbbells, but would love to know if say, a half inch mat is just as good as a full inch mat. I'm also aware that, regarding home construction, I'm probably better off on the first floor, for obvious safety reasons.

I'm single, no kids or pets. Don't even really need a big place, but I do want a 2 bd, so as to make the master bedroom my gym.

Thanks.

Rich's offhand joke about the "Choo-Choo Charlie's

https://i0.wp.com/otheplaceswego.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Choo-Choo-Charlies-Train-Restaurant-Kenosha-Exterior.jpg?resize=700%2C525

Ok, maybe I'm showing both my age (I'm a bit younger than the RLM crew) AND me being from the northeast coast, but in the last Jack Quaid BotW, Rich made that comment during their viewing of "Scarlet Warning" and Jack laughed extra hard. I figured it was just the alliteration Rich came up with on the fly, but apparently, like my introduction the Showbiz Pizza Bear thanks to RLM, apparently Choo-Choo Charlie's is not only real, but it is/was basically the same thing.

I swear I at least knew of Chuck E. Cheese as a kid (though I never went. I don't think there were any in Brooklyn or NYC for that matter. Perhaps upstate and/or New Jersey).

May need a small/quick operation

Been feeling a bit of discomfort in my lower right abdomen. Probably my appendix or possibly a hernia. Not sure what to do as far as protocol for something like this. Also I'm a mail handler so I dont know if its different for me compared to carriers and clerks when you need to takeana extended leave of absence (possibly).

Question for those here who use or have used Trulia while looking for their home

I've been going to that site for years and the first big blow was when they removed the "Crime map" several years ago, saying that it's "discriminating" and that potential buyers should "do their own research". Which, let's not kid ourselves, was their way of saying without saying that lots of real estate wasn't getting bought because no one wants to live in bad neighborhoods.

I recently noticed, about a week ago, that all the homes for sale that I've been watching for months or possibly even over a year, all suddenly said "new home" or "listed 1 day ago/2 days ago". I thought it was a glitch in the website/app. I'd actually noticed it was saying tons of new homes for sale in the "alerts" section. I just figured it was my area simply suddenly having lots of places for sale that no one can afford anymore due to rising costs in....well, everything. Also I live in Florida, the retirement state, lol.

Today, one of the places I looked at sold, and when I saw it sold for under what it was priced for, I noticed the selling history and the changes in price were gone. I go check another place still for sale, and it also has basically no selling history, other than when it was last sold a decade ago.

Basically, potential buyers can no longer see that the home they're looking at that's priced at 400K was originally say, 220k 3 years ago when the housing market went to the dumpster, and all the times the sellers/owners have lowered the price in the months since (375k after no sell for like 3 months, 350k another 3 months later etc...). Which thus, makes it harder for buyers to negotiate a better deal since let's face it, everything big or small has basically doubled in price over the past 3-4 years.

I'm not gonna get onto my conspiracy soapbox, but the more I read up on this stuff (and certainly NOT what's simply being reported by the "major" media outlets) the more I wonder if this is the corps. way of both keeping us in the dark with research to make better financial decisions, and also they're pricing out everyone so we all end up only renting someday. That, or too many homes nationwide have sat unsold for too long and the banks are getting impatient.

Sorry if this is a downer post, and double apologies if this is the wrong sub for this sorta thing, but I am beyond livid right now. I just feel like the internet peaked somewhere between 2010-2015 and as more time passes, the powers that be will only let us know what they want us to know.

Just found out about this place and have a question about the screening-cardio room

I'll preface this as "wishful thinking" but, if you're someone that trains EARLY every day (like say, 5am), would it be possible for the employees to play a movie of your choice? It doesn't even have to be the entire movie, as I don't do cardio for more than 45 minutes anyway. If there's anything I love doing just as much as exercise, it's going to the theater to see classic films. Since this place sounds like it's literally the "best of both worlds" for a guy like me, I'm really excited to check it out.
