Can't be more KINO...

Another typical dating simulator... it is a weird mix between moege and nukige... surprisingly? when I replayed it again to pick my 2nd choice for the h-scenes (this is pretty much the only choice in this game and they don't matter), I realized that this game legit got lots of CGs that are not made for the h-scenes... something I have never seen before for any other nukige @_@ this is why I consider it a mix between both genres... honestly? I was happy they did this. This made the game have less h-scenes, and more story building... I appreciate this. For sure wished for more story and less h-scenes than we got, but I understand this is not the type of game to do this for me...

The story was just your average nothingburger moege story. The issues the heroine had were solved by the MC just existing and you can pretty much say they got solved by her maturing more with time after having a boyfriend?...

The protagonist's character is not bad. He is quite realistic, not much personality but that is fine... the heroine on the other hand? I liked her for most of the time. The way she speaks and lots of her quirks and personality are very realistic and similar to real-life girls! something I rarely feel from moege. But I truly hated that lack of self-trust she got and the wish to please others... I know this is her whole thing in this game, but because of it, we got her buttering up the MC so much it disgusted me... the way she spoke made me feel like she was a hooker trying to please some dirty loser pig otaku... like, the writer was going for the realistic approach in her writing and then they just turned to this?... her h-scene dialogue and some of the outside ones were so painful to read... she was going like "Your way of breathing and intaking air is so great and cool and hooot please dooo mmeee~~~~" or some equal level of cringe... please, what is this? I can see girls going for this approach with an older guy if they wanted to like scam him, yes, we are cunning like this when it is necessary for survival... but to do that with some poor virgin salaryman? wwww? why... ~_~

Writing had some funny bits. Weirdly, I liked the side characters and found them to be interesting. One of the rare times those spriteless characters were worth a damn @_@

The h-scenes were just boring, not necessary at all. The rest of the CGs were fun, not sure if they used them in the best places possible but they were fine. The biggest problem with them was the art itself... same with her sprites, they are good in quality... for most of the time @_@ sometimes it legit just looks weird or uncanny... it has got to do with something with the way they draw her mouth? I have noticed some weirdness throughout the whole game and on lots of occasions... this is one of the reasons why I couldn't take lots of reaction images here...

The translation is sadly too localized. Like most cases in this industry, it is 100% avoidable but we got localizers who are legit untalented. The OST of the game is fine for it, you forget it the second you leave the game, nothing worthy of mentioning.

My biggest shock in this game was... how short it was @_@ legit ended up so surprisingly and at a certain point where it felt like they baited me for a future story arc... I never believed it was over until I made sure it was by searching online... I knew it got a Drama CD that is pretty much a sequel? I tried to search online to find it but I couldn't... tbh? even if I found it, I wasn't going to waste 2 hours of my time on it... I really didn't care about this game, what can a voice-only sequel do? xD

/ourverdict/... 3.2/10~ it wasn't the worst game out there... but... why waste 5 hours of your life here? @___@ just play something good...

*To those who will ask about 2nd Beat, it is never happening. 1st Beat is already a completed story if you watched the anime before it like how it is supposed to be played. The story that was made for 2nd Beat is already now present in Heaven Burns Red in the form of collabs. And 3rd-6th Beat are never going to happen. Lots of reasons, but the biggest ones? The HBR heroines pretty much feel like they are the reincarnation of AB! characters, there are some uncanny similarities in their personalities and quirks... and even the backstories of some of them. Celebrating the 20th anniversary, we are getting a new R07 expansion anime project... from Studio Deen! This is the biggest factor in why I would care about this... The OG anime was also created by them. Hopefully this time R07 doesn't involve himself too much in the work and just sits in the corner and watches the anime industry people do their magic... I really don't want another case of Sotsu happening again T-T Also, Rena being the main girl? this is already way better... she is /ourheroine/ and easily the best girl from all of the OG work T0T

I see that nearly everyone here and on other sites that gather VN enthusiasts consider the Baldr series to be VNs... even though they are clearly designed as murige to the point of making nearly everyone who reads them tend to hack or cheat just to progress through them... I have finished the first game in the series recently, I have put 10x time into the gameplay sections... mostly? just dying and trying again and again to progress... the game was very ruthless, and to just progress? it was a hassle... and am not even a VN-only player. I used to be a Minecraft PvP regional professional player, and I dabble with other online games like LoL and CSGO from time to time. am not rusty to the point of a VN gameplay segment making me suffer... but I truly suffered here so much I kept thinking about dropping it if only I could find one walkthrough that finished it online... when I asked about whether anyone else suffered with the series before? I found out most people just cheated to progress in the story... but if we are doing this, can't we just do that for like most games that have a huge amount of text and are focusing on gameplay? like can't I just cheat in a Souls game and 1-shot all the bosses to progress in it and just focus on reading the story? it would be like 10 hours of story reading and 3 hours of gameplay, doesn't that make it also a VN when the gameplay sections are skippable?... if this is our logic, can't we just also do that to most JRPGs, and even WRPGs like The Witcher 3?...

Why should we call a game that can't be progressed through without suffering to beat the bosses and spending more time on them than on the story a "VN".... what do you think?

This list is very solid and it will be very hard for another game to dethrone any of them... but I believe that VNs are an art form that is capable of doing it V-V Swan Song will probably take GTA Vice City's place in the next version I will make of this...

Does anyone else here add VNs to their 3x3? @_@ I have faced multiple people who tell me that VNs do not belong in a 3x3... their argument is really funny because like why would Steam and other different stores sell them in the gaming section? xD

After weeks of suffering... I have finally finished one of the worst kusoge I have ever read in my life... that shit was so unbelievably bad, I was contemplating dropping it in multiple occasions... but what pushed me to keep reading it? It is just purely the hope of one day reaching BALDR SKY Dive2... the high and mighty of the series according to how high it is in the rankings of VNDB... a top 25 ge of the industry... it must be good or at least worth playing, no?... well... it should be... after forcing myself to go through this painful marathon, am forced now to have high expectations for it just so that I don't consider my time here wasted... it better deliver ^-^

BALDRHEAD～武装金融外伝～... the first Team Baldrhead ge and the one ge that gave them their name... the one that paved the way to one of the most important GIGA's series... we can easily say that this is their core and what started it all... this is where we see the first lore and "world building" for the whole series... this is where we first see the GIGAs and where we see the Baldrhead... this is where we see the first iteration of the series' gameplay... considering all of this? I do find it important to start here... even if the later entries tried to re-write them... to see how it all started? to feel how every aspect upgraded or degraded throughout the years? This is one of the most fun aspects of going through a long series... especially when am going to do it in my way of reading everything chronically and also going for any manga, drama CD, LN, FD and anything in general that I can find my hands on... I will feel like a true fan of the series who played it since day one~ the only downgrade of that?... Imagine if I kept on going like that, reaching BALDR Sky Dive after going through literally hundreds of hours on ge that am not really into... and in the end it turns out to be mediocre or even worse... bad!... That will be... really painful :))) if the rest of the series was nearly as bad as the first ge... and all of what I did turns out to be for nothing... am really going to crash out on this whole industry and the VNDB ratings... I might legit never read anything that got high ratings and only read the VNs from the writers that I already love..... please don't break me ^_^

Let's go back on track and talk about this ge... where do I begin?... story? Some boy-meets-girl and... and tbh? It was pretty much dropping multiple tropes randomly and hoping they would stick and make you enjoy them... there is not much into the story that I can talk about, the plot is pretty basic, it follows a very old eroge mindset and everything here feels like it happened just so that they can insert some h-scene at one point for the players... tbh? At some point during my time reading it, I legit started comparing it to how gachas do that stuff when they release a new patch story and force a certain character to get the screen time even if it might feel weird just because it is their patch and they want players to pull for them... in this ge? Each chapter was about one of the girls, their h-scenes were there... you are allowed to end the chapter pretty fast or go through it... if you end it fast? You will mostly miss the h-scene, and you will also miss the whole gameplay sections. If you decide to help the chapter's girl? You will go through a gameplay section and also get rewarded with an h-scene of her... yah this shit is legit like gacha xdddd makes the pacing laughable when you think about it and even makes it kinda stale... so, what is the point of helping each girl during their own chapter with that to see some action... it is to get to the """"true ending"""" (you will know later why I used the "" like that...) during the first hour of the ge, I was notified after skipping the first girl that I would get a bad ending because of this... MC literally was breaking the 4th wall and talking as the narrator and mentioning how if he helped the girl here, he might've not made the mistake he did at the end of the ge... what happened to him later?... He didn't hint at it... but it was clearly meant to tell me that to get the good ending, I needed to help her @_@ for me, since the start my aim for the first run was to be a bad ending one... I didn't help any of the girls at all..... and I reached a point where I was soft locked out of it... yes, the ge glitched on me and I was literally soft-locked and tried to do everything to fix it... but all to no avail... am not going to re-tell the whole story here but I made a VNDB thread you can check here... https://vndb.org/t24964 and btw, I met also another glitch that stopped me from getting one side-h-scene, am not very sure about this one but I also included it in that thread... talking about the "side-h-scene", you can see an h-scene for literally all the side characters... this ge does have multiple of them... I think this is related to the old otaku mindset of needing to see an h-scene for all of them no matter what or they will riot?... Thanks to that, one side-character, Sachiko, the miserable girl... the one who I emphasized the most with and kinda even self-inserted into at one point... >!the one I was begging the MC deep inside of me to help without forcing her into prostitution... she had a very hard life, and she asked the MC to help her find a job that will make her a lot of money but without selling herself... she wanted to keep herself clean and didn't like to turn herself into a sex object... she was saving herself so that one day she would marry... MC promised her that he would help her find some good job to help her without breaking her one rule... the result? Literally pressured her into going to a nude bar and working there... she then started doing nude shows and masturbating in front of hundreds of watchers... this..... this..... aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggghh it brought me so much pain and hatred for the MC...!<

Am going now to talk about characters now, I will finish my point about the MC... this protagonist? I hated him since the first seconds... his introduction was literally him molesting his assistants... I knew I was dealing with the old eroge MC who is literally the most garbage type of man and is like that just so that the otaku, the scum of the earth, would self-insert into him... So that MC, being this terrible of a human being? I was mad the whole time playing as him... one of the main reasons why I went for a bad ending first was so that he doesn't get any h-scenes... I was wishing for him the whole time to get the bad ending to suffer the most... but after what he did to Sachiko? I legit started wanting for him to be hurt... I mean REAL HURT in both his body and mind... I started wishing for that bad ending to be him forced to see all the girls he ever cared about get raped in front of his eyes... especially his daughter-figure... I was really praying for that and wishing for it as if the MC was a real human who I wish to see his downfall and not a fictional character... that's how much I hated him...

About the other characters... all the other girls have a boring, very one-dimensional personality, they got the tropes you have already seen for a million types but without any of the building or fun mixes, they are very basic and bare-bones... old eroge so I understand why it is this shit... the side-characters weirdly got a good amount of screentime, I did like this aspect @_@ we got also multiple of male characters, but they were barely doing anything for the story... like they would appear for their part and that's it, unlike how the girl side-characters will appear a lot... I mean you do have an h-scene with them, so I guess the devs wanted to prepare you for it?... you don't have h-scenes with the boys... wish the MC got raped by all the men there... I think more eroge writers need to do that as retribution for readers who hated the MC... like make all the men hold him and run a train through him for one long h-scene... this would've made me less upset about the whole thing if I knew he would get punished... even if it is not canon, at least give me this.....

Writing... it barely exists xdd it sometimes delves into some of the plots, but it is such a pathetic attempt and really doesn't lead anywhere... when the pacing dedicates itself to be gacha-like, when we know all the girls are forced into cheap h-scenes, when we know the MC is a disgusting PIG, when we know there are no red lines and the MC would do anything that got a female member, when we know the main plot is barely there and the fact it is apparent in like the beginning and ending only and that was excused in such a cheap way that was created to allow this... this all proves to me that the writing here has only one goal, and that goal is to connect the player to the h-scenes... everything is there just so that it doesn't turn into literal porn spam and so that you can also "play" this product... most old eroge is like that, and today's nukige is pretty much this... I truly despise that this innocent great media allowed this to exist in it... Yes, I know it existed like that... but Maeda-sensei, with his Fellow KEYno makers, changed it with Clannad, the moege that didn't have any h-scenes and yet still won the whole industry... it should've stopped this from happening anymore... but it still happens... nukige should honestly just like have a new form of media, just a different name... don't call them visual novels anymore... it is a shame for the novels part to be stuck to them... INB4 "Women love reading hardcore porn novels BuUUHHIIII~~~" I know that, those too shouldn't count. Am not a hypocrite... just stop the degeneracy, it hurts the other works that use sexual themes in a good way...

Coming back to talking about my wishes for a bad ending for the MC... >!at a certain point in the end of the ge, you will see the villain holding the girl and threatening the MC that he would let her get raped in front of his eyes... when I saw that scene, I was doing it in the good ending run... so it was cut and that threat didn't happen... I then reached the last boss and got stuck on him (this caused me to delay finishing it for like 2-3 weeks?) so I made another run, I went back for one that was at like chapter 4, I helped the previous girls but decided to not help Rita... doing that, I did start the bad ending run........ the bad ending? Turns out to just be him going there solo and not finding her... he would then just return home empty-handed and continue living just like that... the scene where I was promised for his daughter-figure to get raped?... Literally doesn't exist... you don't believe how much this broke my heart... one of the factors that pushed me to keep playing was to see this stinky MC broken from that scene... I legit was savoring it and thinking about how delicious it would be to see him finally get what he deserves... ***SPOILER-FOR-THE-SERIES-STARTS*** I mean, I remember someone posting the art style of the series (from an advanced entry) and the girl was getting raped by like a legit demon?...***SPOILER-FOR-THE-SERIES-ENDS*** and this ge itself does have rape... so it wasn't farfetched to think it is 100% there when the villain hints at it herself... I then went into a CGs site to search and check out all the CGs... it wasn't there... I did get spoiled on her h-scene later from the good ending, but I didn't care and it was 100% something I knew would happen because she was the only one whose h-scene I hadn't seen yet and her CGs counter in my gallery was still mostly empty... *sigh* that was annoying... when I saw that? I just left the ge for quite a long time... I didn't return until I had the chance to go into a cord call so that consuming it would be easier on me...!<

There were some funny bits here and there, they are super rare... it is mostly very brain-dead writing and the most simple things... but I will give it that it wasn't boring... this? Thanks mostly to the pacing... the fact that you go through the whole city, using the map function, will allow you to see lots of interactions, most of my time spent here was me trying out everything in each main story point before going to the next one... I did my best to not miss out on any interactions... and in the end I did get all the CGs from the interactions indeed V-V except that one that glitched on me... but it was just an h-scene, IDC.

The endings in this ge all felt >!miserable... the bad ending being like that? Is understandable... but for the good endings? They all legit feel like something is missing! Like... is this really happy happy?... they all somehow got some huge amount of bitterness... my ending was Rita's ending... the ge will force you to replay it for like literally 8 times to see all of their endings? (similar to Dohna Dohna, you can also do some stuff with the save to get all of them in one go, but you will need some guide to help you) for me, doing the good ending, I did all the h-scenes for all the girls... so I was eligible to get all the endings (except the one you can't get when you are in the good ending run)... so it was randomized for me between those 7 endings... my ending with Rita? We are now running from money sharks, we are broke and barely living, she lost her dream and the factory... but "we feel more connected and in love"... yep, this is literally how it ended.......... the ge also tells me about what happened to the other heroines and it is all just nothingburger... I saw the CG for the other endings and they all feel just wrong...... wtf is this, why does those devs really can't do one thing right....!<

Btw, back in the middle of my experience when I learned about how you need to beat the ge 8 times to see all the endings? I legit laughed... when I reached the final boss? Even before it I was 100% content on only seeing one good ending and that's it... like, do you expect me to relive this nightmare to 100% the ge I don't like?....... and now that I have seen this ending? It is literally like 5 lines of text and an ugly looking chibi CG that will require you to play for hours... lol xddd not happening in even a million years... even when I fixed my gameplay... (will talk about it later)... but this reminds me of something... that one guy on VNDB who voted to how long it is... and they made their vote "anonymous"... he must be one of the biggest liars I have ever seen in my life, and his vote should be revoked... he said he finished it in 11 hours of "slow" reading?? Wtf did he see in that slow reading of his???? I was stuck in the gameplay for more than 25 HOURSSSSSS...... even if he skipped everything and just went for the bad ending, he would also need to skip the main story.... LIKE WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU SKIPPED EVEN THE STORY????? Did he really not read it??? He said he read it slowly, how does someone beat this type of ge in 11 hours if they are not someone who is speedrunning it and speedrunning the gameplay sections??? He is legit one of the reasons why I got encouraged to read this ge... I was fooled by him and thought it was a short read... I didn't know about how this shit was filled with tons of interactions, interactions that are so weirdly programmed and are very hard to trigger... you need to be super specific to trigger them, and sometimes you could even get glitched if you played in a way the devs didn't think about... just like how I got soft-locked... in such a hard ge to go through, this guy made me suffer even more when I kept playing it and kept discovering how it is way longer than I thought... as a person who is close to the 100% and pretty much read most of the interactions? This ge is at least a +30 hours read... but I will say that also lots of the blame is on me for what I did in the gameplay...

Talking about the gameplay... I. SUCK. ASS......... I really, sucked in it :")))) it is one of the hardest and most solid gameplays out there... when you dash, when you sprint, the rockets when they hit each other and cancel that... the hits and lots of other small things... they were super satisfying! I legit enjoyed them... but this ge is like on par with the hardcore fighting games of the 2D era... tons of combos, and the ge was throwing random pages in the map, until literally the last chapter, and this ge was teaching me about combos and stuff related to gameplay... at first? I was reading them because in the first levels it was the basic and core-gameplay that I truly needed to learn... it is like in SF when they teach you how to hit and about the HP bar... but when they got into the complicated stuff and how to do certain techniques and moves? That is where I dipped... it was like them teaching you how to do a hadouken and the shoryuken... yah am not learning... for SG? My excuse was legit, I can't play using a controller even if my life depended on it... I SUCK using them, so I can just do the basics and wish for my reaction time and high IQ to make me out-play the opponent (big reason why I like Smash, a ge with no special moves that require long combos of buttons), so in this ge? I technically should've been capable of doing it using the keyboard when am a master of using it... but, I just couldn't understand them very well... their explanation was just hard to follow, there was no testing-mode and you are always thrown into hard battles so there wasn't any chance for me to try things out... and tbh? When I found out at some point about upgrading the abilities and moves I got? I just maxed my basic rockets... the outcome? After playing the first sections with 0 upgrades, giving myself such a hard challenge for no reason when I got the resources to upgrade long ago... I found out how way easier the ge turned and how more fun it was..... the boss fight I was stuck at and didn't make sense at all?... Turned into a dog walk T0T ... this taught me to not neglect them... I then bought the most expensive attack, the heat-tracking missiles... upgraded them to the max... pretty much never used them, they sucked ass and required you to stay still for a long time to use them... like I got the chance to do that when the enemies are SUPER aggressive and sometimes they made me feel like they were reading my input, heck, even my thoughts!!!! The only reason I was capable of winning was because of how I was always on the move and dodging stuff, trying to do a little bit of damage while maneuvering for most of the time... at the ending sections, I did purchase another weapon, the 2nd most expensive one... the electricity weapon... my biggest mistake :)))))) I got it and maximized its powers... when I was playing using it? I noticed that using it would only end up making 1 hit that takes about 15% of the stamina bar and then I can't attack anymore... this bummed me from it and I wanted to stop using it... but somehow, I thought about that retarded idea of mixing it with the rockets, so I would spam both attacks at the same time... result? I would 100% use the stamina bar, I could deal damage to multiple enemies next to each other and the rockets would even defend me a little bit from rockets... "ZAAAAMNNN I found an amazing combo @_@ feels good to play in my own way~~~~~" Skip to the Tank boss before the 2 final bosses... I, Got, Raped, Like, None, Before.......... I reached the point of making long posts in a VN community, I even made videos asking for randoms to help me find a way to beat this monstrosity of a boss... the biggest problem with him was the 2 small enemies with him that were very annoying and strong, and by the time I reached him? I was mostly either dead from 1 attack or just mentally tired... I kept trying him out and losing so miserably... one day I woke up and nearly finished him in my first attempt, after that I spent the whole day trying to beat him just to fail... this felt so miserable that I wanted to legit cry........ after with some miracle I did win.... I made like 5 saves to make sure I don't rewrite the save (happened to me here once and I wanted to bite my tongue), I kept playing until I reached into something similar to a boss rush challenge? They would send 3 waves of enemies that are annoying to deal with, then they would make me fight the last challenge before the final boss... I legit thought it was the last thing from how hard it was... what was it that was hard about it? ^-^... it was like bullet hell... that shit turned into Touhou at the end just as a last FUCK you to me...... it wasn't a hard bit... but it required luck... and I ran out of all of it, as it seems like :))))) I got stuck here for a long time... biggest problem? Each time you lose you need to repeat the 3 first waves, and to win them without losing too much HP? You need to play them so safe and low... sometimes I was really nearing my end of patience because of them... but at some point with some luck I finally did it.... I finished her... annnnddd there is a final boss... and he got a new type of health bar that I never saw before... how many health bars he got? I think 8 or some crazy number like that? For me? It is 3, you can't get anymore than that since the beginning of the ge... but oh, what is that? I got less than 1 health bar when I reached him... Ah, yes, there is this system of health recharge that gives you like 1 long bar that will keep recharging you after each battle, but if it runs out? You are not getting recharged anymore... and after going through those countless waves and that last bit that is literally unwinnable without losing most of your HP if you are not John Luck himself... I found myself there with less than 1 health bar... tried to fight him for more than an hour?... Simply impossible... with what I got? It wasn't winnable... she got a legit answer to every technique and thought I had... her arsenal of moves was legit made to win no matter what, her moves were crazy and fast, big health and reach from long distance and crazy short distance attacks... I was left hopeless... I knew that I can never beat her like this... I took the hard pill and returned to a save after I beat the tank guy (AM NOT FUCKING REPLAYING HIM NO MATTER WHAT, because of him I legit was searching for a cheat engine just so that I can see the ending I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT WINNING THE GAMEPLAY I WANTED TO CRY) so I needed to replay the 3 phases and that last part again... at that time? I thought about going for the bad ending and being content with it if it was fine for me..... I went to the shop and purchased something different, I got like a melee attack that is like a super strong throw into the enemy.... did MIRACLES for me when fighting and it was taking like nearly 1 health bar of the enemy when timed correctly, and it fitted my style of movement so much... it made me wish that I could repeat the final chapter in my main run, but thinking about the tank boss... am afraid... I was just very sad that I didn't try out stuff before that... after getting the bad ending and seeing how bad it was? That was when I dropped it for 2-3 weeks... until yesterday I purchased a new mic and my male Discord friend asked me to join a call together... I thought this would be an amazing chance to do it... I was open to some rage in my life again... picked it up again, after +2 hours of more suffering, I reached the final boss but this time? Full 3 bars of health (miraculously did it T0T)......... the fight still somehow felt hopeless and I found myself doing even worse than when I had less than 1 health bar... back then? I got like 3 health bars from her, but now? I was doing mostly 2....... I was losing my mind.... nothing is working...... nothing is working at all... I was spamming... spam spam spam spam spam... until by a stroke of luck and chance... I used the electricity move alone without my combo, I did it and by luck also checked her health bar, just to see her somehow losing more health than what I do when I use my combo for like 10 times... in that 1 fast hit, I did x10 what it takes me a minute to do.... "Ha?"... when I saw that, I tried it out more and it was legit working... after that? In less than 5 attempts I defeated her... and those attempts were all very close and good and I would've done it in 1 attempt if I wasn't tired, mad, disappointed, and just confused... I did it... I barely believed it... I was legit thinking that it is fine for me to be stuck here for months now that I got 3 health bars and I can keep trying daily for like 1 hour to not get mad... but I just did it like that? and it was all because I didn't know this thing... this thing that could've saved like 10-20 hours of my playtime... all of that playtime wasted... all because of this............ hahaha... :) and funny enough? Even as a last fuck you to me? When you go into the CGs gallery for >!the daughter-figure, she says that she is missing 2 CGs... I know one of them is the chibi one for her ending... but the other one?.... the other one... what is it? I checked the CGs site again and it didn't have it... I checked another one and it also didn't have it...... what does this mean?? Was there something regarding her that most people missed??? Didn't they just rip those CGs from the game files?... then... could this just be the devs baiting me into thinking that the rape scene they very heavily hinted at for the bad ending is there but I missed it somehow?...... so they are legit going full evil even at the end?... if that is legit the case? Then, hey. I will give it to them... even after I got the credits and finished this ge, thinking that the CG I missed is the h-scene I wanted to see the most and me spending the time I should've used in celebrating on searching for it instead, is truly a last fuck you made for the reader...!< your evilness is indeed great, way better than everything you did in this ge, you talentless fucking hacks :)

Guides.... guides you PIGs...... if there was a single guide online about the gameplay, none of that would've happened.... if just a single guide told me "Hey, that move is strong and 1-shots enemies, do it!" I wouldn't have suffered for all of this time........ the only guide there is is one telling you how to get the ending and what it takes, and giving TLDRs to each chapter..... FUCK am I going to do that???? a guide for gooners???? but HOWWWWW do you reach those chapters with this gameplayyyyy??????? It felt so weird that I was the only one suffering that much online and no one cared... when I asked others who played the future entries of the series about how they dealt with its hardness, they all just said that they used cheat engines because they are here for the story only..... BUT the gameplay being hard and feeling accomplished after you finish it could be a part of the story if the writers used it as a storytelling device... and if that ge was legit in the top 25 VNs ever? Then it should do that...... *sigh* I just feel heartbroken... but now that I learned to 100% experiment next time with everything, and that if I hopefully find those same attacks there? The next ge will be easier and I will not suffer like that again... I need to remember my experience here, I documented it this well so that my body and soul will never forget it... I thought about dropping the whole series after I finish the final boss back when I was suffering... but now? am fueled to finish it... I learned the way... I got it now... I can do it... and the more I progress in this series, the more I will reach the famous ones that 100% got guides or even cheat engines... Yes I will use one if I get broken again like here... but that would be my last resort... I do possess the skills to do it alone with a good guide... I can do it~

OST was pretty much what you would expect from an old eroge, it legit sounds like the most basic eroge OST, nothing sticks out and very forgettable on the spot... there was this one OST that feels heroic and would play when the MC is... being heroic?... It always made me mald so bad, like the MC is pretty much a rapist, into kids, a killer, selling women, a money shark... and you playing a heroic theme for him?... and the dialogue would be so brain dead I was cringing so hard......

Voice actresses give you that cheap feeling... even the loli character, the daughter-figure was given such an old sounding voice acting... from a fast check? Most of them legit didn't do anything after this ge... but like 2 of them did have a noticeable career later @_@ but this work was one of their firsts, and with those cheap audio devices they used to record their voices? I understand how they can sound bad here... I mean... the voice actress of Tomoyo is literally Rita... yes, THAT Tomoyo's VA worked here T0T and I got Rita's ending by chance... is that Fate? @_@ telling me that I will love her when I read Clannad one day... @___@

Art... sprites were not bad, for CGs... there were like a couple of them that were drawn in the likeness of the sprites, good quality... but the majority of them?... Literally looks like a hand drawing of a 9-year-old... it is chibi style but DAMN it was so low quality and felt like they legit didn't know how to draw... so we got like a couple of good ones, and the majority of those ugly chibi ones... I didn't count the h-scene CGs, those were drawn in a normal way... but I don't care...

/ourverdict/? After this supposedly 8 hours ge turned into a +35 hours journey, filled with so much rage and anger from my side at every aspect in this ge, the badly written MC and characters, the shallow story and plots, the great gameplay that was ruined by the lack of any chance for us to experience its true mechanics with the game design that didn't allow it to be done comfortably, the cheap OST and mostly bad CGs to average art in general, add to it the bad VAing, that didn't help to carry how bad all the love interests were? This is a 3/10 ge for me. A very bad start story-wise to the Baldr series... but gameplay wise? I got now high hopes to how it can shine later on... if those sections get polished more? It could be a banger for me.... understanding this is an old eroge, the story could be fixed by the recent entries of the series... all of this together could indeed end up making the mix that made it into the top 25 VNs list of the industry... my hopes are high... and my expectations are burning... it will take me some time to reach it... but I will do it one day, and it better be good V0V

Fallstreak 2: Traum... The 3rd installment in the Fallstreak series and its newest ge... the EVN that you never heard of and probably will never hear of if not for my review... I do have some guilty pleasure EVNs here and there... all of them from the days I used to have weird rules about reading ge, before I read HBR & Angel Beats! 1st Beat and my life was changed by them... but this one? this one is not a guilty pleasure... this is one of the ge am happy that I read thanks to my old dum-dum rules... reading this whole series was quite delightful and brought me a lot of great joy... with also some deep sadness about how it wasn't known to more people and how getting the 3rd ge was like a miracle, thanks to the passion the team behind it is showing against all odds...
>!This part of the series is about going beyond your own dreams... about how sometimes the happiness you find in the norms is not true happiness... about how those frail little characters we love and adore are thrown into a world that is harsh enough to scare adults... a journey of multiple characters and POVs that will shower us with suffering till we can't take it anymore... at some point? I was losing it how much those girls I love are just going through the worst, wishing for once, if this ge can just turn into a moege and for them to live in peace... this, coming from someone who is known to be a big enemy of moe... is telling you how much turmoil and misery I was reading ,-,!<
>!The first couple of hours put me through so many tough moments, I wanted to just stop it and leave... not because it was bad, but what I was reading was this hard to swallow... after spending nearly all of our time with those characters in the 1st part of this series just having some genuinely fun and cute SoL moments that were very heartwarming... to see what is happening to all of them now?... I just couldn't believe it... I always thought this would all be a nightmare or a fake out... this felt like reading a charage that would turn into a denpa and then into an utsuge... going through all of those changes also affected the reader's mentality and heart... I was losing it lots of times from how hard it was to keep reading it when the story was just suffering at one point... in the 1st ge, we got one half filled with fun and the other was with suffering... 2nd ge was pretty much just misery porn... but this one? this one started very harsh on us... but the sun does shine upon us at some point and we go into Traum... the happy dream that saved us, the readers even more than the characters... I was shocked how most of this ge's ad was around this blue girl who didn't appear at all in the first couple of hours... but then I got it... she is something very precious and special that has graced... Soffi was a very cute addition to the series... not to mention the other characters! That pretty knight who I thought was Vel, thinking of him as a girl just to find out he was an ikemen... my mind never accepted it, because game design says the opposite... men are not drawn like this in this ge, and his art style was similar to the girls... next we got that cat girl... very annoying, but her annoyance did grow on me and I started finding it endearing... she is the only one who we pretty much don't know anything about her past, but I still liked her even with all of the mysteries shrouding her... and the times she kept fooling Adel-chan and me T-T Sheep girl got such a cute design... and her being shipped with unc is just... T0T Damalure being there for us was very nice... I like him! but with all the ease? the most shining was Noleta... since the first second till the last, she won my heart in this part... I always loved her since the first part, but now? I like her a little bit too much... and that new ship of her and Adel-chan?... I support it with all of my heart... it is too good to not happen... but please don't make it a doomed yuri ship like the first ge ^-^ and don't kill any of them in the end... just be nice to us for once, writer-san... her going after Adel-chan romantically with such vigor, even though she doesn't know what romance is or even what love is... but she clearly loves her and so is what everyone around them discerned... and her fighting style and when she goes into the mentality of a killing machine... the way she protects Adel and is ready to see everything burn for her... I LOVE THIS! ... I can't love her anymore than that...... going for Adel-chan, our lovely, cute protagonist... our too much of a cutie of a protagonist... our so cute of a protagonist I think I took like 200 screenshots of her speech bubbles next to her GIGA cute sprites... you see that I love her... I do! ... she is a very fun protagonist, filled with emotions and smart monologues... she is an avid reader, and you can touch that in her writing... she is also someone who is very broken... and still shrouded in mysteries that will not unravel until we reach the last part of this series... I will not lie here... the pacing at the start and how we were thrown into all of that? did feel weird... but it was stirred smoothly into easing up everything for us to the point of us accepting it... I did accept it very fast... funny enough, the pacing at the start literally made us feel like we were inside the story itself... just like how suddenly everyone was thrown into a war without any warning and suddenly they learned how to fight, we were also thrown into all of these plots very fast without really understanding what is happening... both the reader and characters share the feeling of being lost and not understanding why we are going through all of this suffering... when we both reached Traum? we all felt that calmness... but we also deep inside of us knew it is just the calm before the storm... Adel-chan, after reaching her initial goal to get stronger... started having the same feeling of rejecting the current status quo, the current dream world, all of this fakeness and lies... she wanted to be free... and to do that? the suffering we faced before is fated to return... we go through a lot, so many heavy plots and a story that can't be comprehended without doing your best to focus on it and understand what is between the lines... it doesn't hold your hand and you will be lost very fast if you are not giving it your all... this is one of the toughest stories I read, this is coming from someone who read I/O and understood it very easily and was making theories and deductions at Route C that some of it turned even to be true... this ge is something else @_@!<
Art in this ge was AMAZING... one of the greatest EVN sprites I have ever seen, with nice BGs... not going to lie? those sprites really helped this series reach to what it is today... one of the biggest faults in EVNs is the art... having a nice artist for our series was a stroke of luck... I really liked how expressive Adel-chan was here... took such a big amount of screenshots of her T0T so are the other characters also... CGs were great, still greedy and wish for more but I know this is the best we can have so am happy and thank you <3 1 complaint though? wished they would give the side-characters some shadow sprites or whatever just to represent them... really anything would've been fine and better than not having anything showing on the screen... it sometimes annoyed me @_@
Ost... great! the ost in this series is not bad at all... just wish I can find it on YouTube... I want to add it to my ost tier list at the end of the year, am pretty sure it will take a place there! even though I will be having like +50 ge competing there for a top 20 spot... am sure this ge is up there ^-^ this is how amazing it is... and we even got a vocal song! a vocal song that I searched so hard on the internet and couldn't find... please link them T______T btw I still deep inside wish for VAing... it could've taken it to such highs... but we knowww the budget and getting English VAs could've made it worse... so am fine with what we got... Writing in this ge... the strongest point of it. Amazing job from the writer to make his story this great, fun to read, not bloated and every word got a certain weight that conveys how it fits there... something even some of the biggest writers couldn't do *side eyes R07* .... his prose got its own charm and it shows in some of the heavy scenes, he can make the characters feel very believable and make you empathize with them a lot even though they are not self-inserts or anything close to you!... >!this part of the series was very heavy in chuuniness... and it was great! those fights felt very good and believable, the writing in them allowed me to imagine everything happening and giving them some golden age Bones level of animation T-T I really like the usage of blue to show that this attack is from our side and red is from the enemy side... and sometimes those colorful bits to break the routine @_@ having CGs for most of the moves was also very nice to have... I really enjoyed the fighting bits even though I was fighting for my life to not get heartbroken when I saw my girl suffering that much and nearly dying every 5 seconds and seeing their sprites so bloodied it scared me... ngl, that usage of the sprites to show the dust of war and blood on them? very masterful... showing their injuries and what they are going through in this visual way? something even the biggest vinnies don't do to this extent! sometimes the pacing feels all over the place in this part, the backstory of the knight felt a little bit longer than I wished for it to be, I found myself bored at some point. This was the only part that made me feel like that, everything else was very fine. Like his writing of comedy, something I truly loved since the first ge, the SoL parts are written very masterfully by him, you can even say they are the main reason I love this series <3 ... please give us more, we love them t-t he was capable of establishing the characters with them in the first ge, and made us feel for them and care a lot about them in this part... them all dying is something I can never accept... I know, deep inside of me, that they will be back... this is if the world is fair... but we know it is unfair so maybe they are really gone AAAAAAAAA T_______T ... Like, did we really lose the handicapped sister and Noleta's brother without even seeing their end?.... did the mute brother really die like that?... even though the 1st ge's twist in the end making us think that he will have a bigger part to play in the future?... or was that legit only meant to show us he got powers?... I started it and read the first 2 ge like nearly 1 year ago and still suffered to remember some stuff in this one, to wait a couple of years to read the next part?... you know what? am going to do a full marathon to re-read everything when it is released... and this time I will also read the novel... /ourverdict/ I love it... life-changing... I had such great 3 reading sessions with it, wished it was longer with all of my heart because I can't get enough of those SoL parts... a part of me is happy it ended because I can't handle more >!misery!<... got some light complaints that don't affect the experience at all... this is legit a strong ~7.3/10~ ... Will always pray that someday it gets the treatment it deserves and more people read it... hopefully when the next part confirms the yuri, we can see more sisters reading it... wish the best for the team that created it and the huge amount of passion they got <3

>!Finished the first MGQ saga... this wasn't just a vinnie... this was more of a journey... a journey of self-discovery and perpetual growth... for both the MC and everyone he meets on his way... and even for us, the readers... this story does "try" to delve into some thorny topics... racism, division into castes, sectarianism... it does talk about more stuff, but those felt like the main topics in it... surely other than the MC's attempt to understand who he truly is and where he fits into this world... notice the "" ?... it did try... but damn, what an awful attempt it was T0T. Now, it wasn't really bad... but for a game that I spent 80+ hours on? I would really expect them to nail it... but what happened here was barely any writing put into any of the deep themes it tries to discuss... Luka starts out as a literal child with 0 thoughts in his brain about what he is going to do, and Alice acts as a kind of mentor for him?... a mentor that barely does anything for him other than teaching him how to fight and sucking his soul as a reward for herself... now, for sure he couldn't really do anything without her teachings... and she really didn't want to interfere with his view of the world just to make their fight in the future fair... but there was also another reason... Alice herself is not that mature, she is also still lost about what to do and needed to see the world to decide on her future... she is also learning what view she should have about their world... both Luka and Alice will go on this journey to reach it... the future they dream of, but don't know how to reach... in this journey, you will see it... as much as there is barely any writing going on, you will still feel very connected to those two... you will start caring for them and become very interested in how they deal with the dilemma they will face... well, it was mainly Luka, for most of the time Alice would be overseeing you... until you can win her heart and make her join your cause, that is. Back to my main point, the game is about racism... how dum-dum sometimes it deals with those themes? In one part, Luka went to a village that is monsters only, plant and insect-type monsters were fighting each other, at first Luka took the side of the losing side and helped them win, and when they won? They started genociding the now-losing side... forcing Luka to step in again and put an end to them too... Luka's way of solving this problem was by forcing both sides to lose so that they are both too weak to keep fighting... now Luka will go on in his journey trying to make coexistence work in all types of ways and forms... in your journey, you will reach lots of different types of places with different types of customs and beliefs. They will all teach Luka more about how the real world deals with the problems of coexistence, and you will see his input in the world the more he grows up... and you will see how the way he deals with similar problems in the future will be different, showcasing true growth...!<

>!Writing in this ge was... surprisingly not bad! It was funny a lot of the time very randomly, I liked how it knew its strong points and focused on them. It gives you very little, but somehow enough words to make you care about the characters... but sadly, only a couple of them got real writing in the story, and it was mainly just for 6 characters... Luka, Alice, and the Four Heavenly Knights... and maybe Amira? so 7... does that mean the ge doesn't have any? no... it does have it... BUT IT IS ALL IN THE H-SCENES... by that I mean they will showcase the inner selves of those monsters there... can I even call it that?... I mean in the main story and the canon is you not losing to any of them? you will just see barely anything of them and they will say a couple of lines... but when you lose and see them in the h-scenes? You will learn what type of monsters they are, what they like to do, how they enjoy doing it and how their kind do those types of stuff, how their bodies are different from humans and other monsters, how they give birth and have children and how they nurse them, some times even bring their joy or sorrow into it, the functions of their bodies and how that translates into their attacks and moves... lots and lots of words just there... this was a crime T-T especially as someone who hates h-scenes and erotic themes used like that in general... I said it before, this ge could've been something very special if it was all-ages... Yes, it can work... not as what it is right now, but if they aimed for that since the beginning?... we might have gotten something better... ok, yes this is super hard to do, so just a normal eroge would've been better?... did we really need the nearly 300 h-scenes we got? Yes, I didn't stutter, this ge got around 300 h-scenes... Like, this would even make Alicesoft go "dat's a little bit more dan neccsary home boiii" ... couldn't you like make them 100 and use the HUGE amount of words in those other 200 h-scenes to write more for the characters? T0T this is something I've also said about Euphoria, and how it had such huge potential if it was a plotge instead of a nukige... same for MGQ, you could've done way more with them... I understand though why they didn't, the market they are aiming for wants that... but does this market also want 30+ minute h-scenes T_____T in part 3, we got multiple ones that are THIS long... I legit wanted to cry at some point from how long they were and how many CGs there were and how painful for the soul it was to read them... especially one that legit scared me even with the shitty art style... it just dug into my soul? I guess reading it for a long time just made me very vulnerable...!<
>!Going back to talking about the journey of Luka and Alice and their growth... one of the things that made me really upset was how Ilias wasn't used correctly... she could easily fit the role of the 2nd heroine next to Alice in our journey, she was the first one we saw in this ge and she was always next to us... I'm pretty sure we have talked to her thanks to the evaluations maybe for the same amount as Alice?... we have also had a couple of h-scenes with her (we needed waaaay more) and in part 2? there was even that choice to have her as our true partner... the ge did want to make you feel like that... but they really didn't write any story for her... even in part 3, when she is the main villain, we barely see anything about her... till the point we fight her and end the ge, I still wish I knew more about her... why did I get attached to her like this? the only one time we really read something about her story was when Luka's aunt, Micaela, sat down with us and told us the truth about everything... it was a lore dump... but I legit was so happy to finally see them writing the story of this ge T-T especially the bits about Ilias... it showed that she had such an interesting personality @_@ I really wanted to see more of her... how cunning and crazy she can be to the point of being fine with literally destroying the whole world if she can't win against the darkness... I liked this T0T then you go deeper into part 3 and see her missing for nearly all of it and only showing up to get eaten... then "I fooled youuu" or whatever and then we fight her and it is over... then there is just that last bit with her when she saves us... this confirmed that she got more stuff to her character... AAAAARRGGGHHHH T_____T I will talk more about this in the "This is all just an ad to Paradox" section T-T!<

Something I liked... at later points, you will find yourself having fun with how to use your couple of skills and reach the winning screen... early on, it felt more like a puzzle, when you barely had any powers, each fight felt like it could only be won with certain tactics and your mission was trying to find out those tactics. I even remember using evaluations way more @@ but later? you become strong enough to be independent... and seeing how strong you are in part 3? and how shocked everyone is by you... after being so pathetic in the early parts of this ge? it was truly such a satisfying feeling T-T and when you awaken your angel part and start using it?... you are literally the strongest being on earth... I'm not someone who likes the trope of OP MCs... but here? it was very deserved and I actually liked feeling like this T0T destroy all of them monsters for Ilias!!~~~.... we mostly killed angels though >-< ... the ge got 3 difficulties, I finished it on normal but re-did it all on hard to get all the h-scene requests... at some point I thought I needed to win them, but then I remembered how the ge literally is asking you to lose to get them in the title xd ... >!You see them having lots of sprites and cool designs, and from the small bits you experienced with them you start wishing you knew more about them... having visited all those villages multiple times, you get attached to them... hearing that amazing OST, you want to listen to it more... knowing that this journey could be re-experienced differently, but this time with more content that could fix all of the negatives?... yaaaah this is pretty much just a huge grooming operation into making us re-read this saga but in Paradox form... and I think they won me T-T I found out that Paradox is not just you re-experiencing this journey, but this time you can even call it a sequel because some of the characters from the original will go through dimensions and come to this world with knowledge of their own... making it a true sequel!... this is something I kinda wished for when I saw in the end that Alice is pregnant with twins... having like only 1 part showing them living in the new world could have been fun @_@ but Paradox for sure seems more interesting... and I'm not totally sold on it T-T the idea that those twins might show up there... fuddddgee am hyped T-T I got spoiled by YouTube and saw how it got some cool aah CGs... and seeing that it is literally the #1 ge on VNDB according to ratings... Yah, we reading that shit @-@ btw, this is not a spoiler, this is known from just the demo of part 1... so like from the first 10 hours of this 200-hour journey? you will know that... not a biggy V-V ... ok... will I read Paradox now?... NOP T-T I'm not really marathoning the series... and part 3 is still not TLed, so I will wait for it and then wait for 3 years to pass..the more I forget about this journey, the better Paradox will be is how I feel..(no work of art can be repeated continuously without getting boring..except Angel Beats!~ I marathoned it last year, I watched the anime, then read the manga that adapted it, then read the vinnie that adapted that, and even in HBR it repeated some of the stuff..it felt like I watched it 4 times..and DAMN it was getting better and better T-T the story that will never wither.. Maeda-sensei truly did it T-T) me not listening to the OST for some time would also help because from what I know it will be re-used there, this is usually bad but in our case? it actually could do wonders @@ I mean, our OST is really amazing..and for sure we will get some new ones, it is very fine ^-^ I also read we will re-see the CGs from the original..h-scenes hell again?..this time I will for sure not force myself to go through the ones I hated in the original..I'm also kinda fine with it..but they have to make waaaay more new CGs! seeing the 2nd saga have like 2K CGs could be fun XD!<

Lastly, As much as how nice of a journey it was and how many charming points it got, the huge amount of h-scenes and how I was nearly losing my mind while going through them truly broke me and made me incapable of truly loving it... 6/10. I'm sure that if I didn't force myself to go through the h-scenes I didn't care about, which would be most of this ge's content and like around 200 of them?..I would've ended up liking it more..same for how I would've liked Higurashi When They Cry more without all the bloated text..but wishes sometimes can't come true T-T and I would like to add..this is really not a VN..go through it without losing, and see how it turns into just a video game..and no, losing shouldn't be forced on you to do, you can read it however you like! hopefully Paradox fixes this..more novel is what we want in our visuals!

Sites are saying that people who downloaded it between April 8 and May 5 Are the ones compromised and they listed the version names... I got 2 versions and both of them are not them or downloaded during that time... So is there a chance that am safe? or my older version from March might have auto updated to the compromised versions and I still need to do a full format? I just did a full scan to my PC and got this about the older version not the newer one I just uninstalled 1 hour ago
