Bought the Ezio Collection recently (on sale for $15, a steal) and I just completed AC2. It was overall...very good!

The level design is great, I love how the cities are built around parkour and they look really good for a game that came out almost two decades ago. Each area feels unique and the mission where you fly using Leonardo's machine was very fun and creative. The story is engaging, Ezio's character growth is nice to see and I was always invested in what dickhead would pop up for me to put down next.

The combat is just fine, I didn't love it but it works well enough for the game, assassination is always the ideal way to take out enemies. The biggest issue I had throughout my playthrough was the lock-on mechanic. For enemies, parkour, etc the lock-on was janky and regularly caused issues which felt out of my control. I can partially forgive this due to the game's age, but it still has to be noted.

The other misgiving I must note is just about sequence 12, aka DLC #1, the Battle of Forli. Added in for the remaster, this memory sequence is now mandatory despite being DLC, and it threw off the pacing for me. Forli was a step down from Venice and the game's final two memory sequences (I had no issue with DLC #2), and it did hamper the endgame a little for me.

Overall, I'd give this game an 8.25/10, with the caveat that some of my minor misgivings probably wouldn't have bothered me was I playing the game in its time, therefore boosting it ranking.

How would you best compare his skills to modern players? Its hard to find much film of him playing, he just wasn't around long as a superstar. He seems like a guy who was very good at pretty much every aspect of impacting the game though, but his offensive box score doesnt stand out (relatively) in a vacuum

From what I've seen Willis got more appreciation, certainly in terms of hardware (insane that they didn't give the '70 FMVP to Frazier after that game 7). But looking at their comparative production, both were great scorers and defenders, only one of them was also the team's primary playmaker. Was Willis getting more recognition primarily due to being a center in an era where they were always seen as the best players? Or is there something I'm missing with Reed? Cause obviously he was a top-tier player in his era, but Frazier sure looks better on paper even considering elite rim protection > elite perimeter defense.

One of the most difficult players to evaluate as a new NBA fan in my opinion. Obviously I never watched him play live, and he wasn't exactly a highlight machine from what I can tell. I understand his defense and rebounding were great and there was value to his outlet passing, but after winning MVP his rookie year he never made another all-nba team.

tl,dr for those who actually watched this man on the Bullets, was he really giving star-impact comparable to Earl Monroe and Elvin Hayes? and how do you think his skillset would adapt to today's game?

Just curious what people think of the game when they played it for the first time after its era had passed. I always hear how incredible of a game it is, but its always from people talking about fond childhood memories and rarely someone who has actually picked up the game in the last decade.

Never played the game on the N64, its one of the few popular games my old sister didn't have on the console. For the record I love a number of those games, especially those made by Rare.

I have a Switch now and I put a couple hours into OoT on there and...wow I did not have a good time before dropping it. Now, I went into this game never having been a Zelda fan before BOTW, I'm not a big puzzle gamer, but I was prepared for the puzzles. What I wasn't prepared for were the controls, which I found extremely janky and difficult to use even on a pro-controller.

My question isn't whether the original game was good, its for those who have played both versions: is there a notable difference in playing the game on the Switch compared to the N64? Did the controls function better with the spaceship controller or were they always this bad and it just wasn;t something that stood out as much back in the 90s?

Team USA will start off September playing China, Italy, and Czechia. If you could only catch one of these, which would you recommend and why?

Since Embiid when down in 2024 the vibes have been ATROCIOUS with this fanbase and it's media.

It won't last, the first game they lose will be an uproar of fraud accusations. But omg it's nice to be excited about the team and not trampled with negativity about them.

2 all-nba guys in Maxey/JB. Embiid and Lebron could very well both be Allstars if they're healthy through December. VJ year two, I expect a statistical decl8ne but better efficiency and decision making. He'll be ready to step up when Lebron retires and Embiid ages out of being a star. GREAT BENCH TOO! PEOPLE SLEEPING ON SIMONS+WADE OFF THE BENCH!.

With all the trades and signings, nothing excites me more for this season than the possibility of 50+ games from Embiid. He's never going to be what he was to start 2024 again but 80% of his MVP season is still a top 5 player in the east.

My child just turned 1, so I just wanted to hear from others what their Hognose was like around this age. Currently she's about 1ft long and *maybe* an inch wide. I probably see her twice a week, dirt remains her favorite thing. She's never been a consistent eater though, usually taking a pinkie about every 2 weeks but its not abnormal for her to go longer.

I'm not concerned about her, she seems healthy, but I wanted to hear about other's experience with their 1yo hoggie's (I got her when she was approximately 2 months btw)

I wasn't familiar with her before this season, was she more quietly this good before 2026 or did she take a significant leap this year?

Curious about death-feigning in your hoggies. I assumed it was always the same, they musk and flip onto their back to look dead.

I had my baby out earlier, acting normal, when suddenly she pooped on me and became semi-limp. She was still moving, but part of her body seemed limp while part wasn't, is the reaction not always a full-body response but just partial?

I put her back in her enclosure right after and she seems fine, but I was very curious by this reaction. Has anyone else had a hoggie do this where they don't flip over but have a partial physical reaction?

She's been good off the bench, seems to really embrace her role as their 6th player. Was she still involved in some kind of controversy this season?

I'd beaten Typhon with every weapon but the Witches Staff, imo it's the worst of the Nocturnal Arms and I've died to him multiple times using it.

Started a new run with Hepheastus charm and got his 400dmg attack every 8 seconds to start, awesome.

Boon 2, Hera makes it heroic so it's now doing 400dmg every 3 seconds...yo ok this is sick.

Hammer in Ephyra, activating a time-recharge effect immidiately after it recharges will cause it to hit twice...insane.

I got more upgrades to make it stronger and stronger, by the time I reached Typhon I was essentially dealing 900dmg every 2 seconds 😂. Fastest I've melted any boss in this game wow.

What's the beefiest weapon you've ended up with at the end of a run?

I beat Hades twice and recently got the true ending in H2, 65hrs in but I still have a couple prophecies to fulfill (Athena won't talk to me about the dang curse). I feel like I've played more than enough to really compare the games.

I acquired the first game in 2024 and had very little experience with roguelikes, and it was a blast! I blitzed through my first playthrough and waited about a year before replaying. I was very excited to get the 2nd game a few months ago and it was really everything I could've asked for in a sequel to a near-perfect game.

I'll start with what's similar. Despite new weapons and more weapon abilities, combat remains as fun and fluid as the first. I truly don't know which set of weapons I prefer although I lean towards the first game's. The enemy variety keeps runs engaging and Scylla-Cerberus-Kronos might be the three best bosses in the series imo.

The music is the clearest upgrade in game 2 in my eyes, and Scylla's songs are legit bangers. Game 1 also had a strong sountrack.

The increased size of the game is the biggest change, and as it said its really all I could've asked for. Two paths instead of one has kept me fulfilling prophecies well after I >!found the Fates!<and I like the additions at the hub like planting and brewing.

Two things keep me from considering the sequel better than the first game. #1 is the story & characters. From what I've seen its a pretty universal opinion that the postgame resolution and reasoning for continued runs is underwhelming, and I agree, but I was still satisfied with the resolution to Kronos as a threat. The real weakness for me is just character interactions, I can't put my finger on it but I just enjoyed some of the characters more in the first game. There's no crossroads equivalent for how much I enjoyed talking to Hypnos in game 1, and the relationships outside of Nemesis felt very half-baked to me compared to what Zagreus had. Again a pretty minor flaw, but we're splitting hairs here because these games are both great. I also liked the House of Hades more as the hub compared to The Crossroads but that's purely vibes-based.

My other critique is that, in my opinion, the surface route is notably less fun than the underworld and its hampers the replayability provided by two options. Specifically the two Olympus regions, I just don't enjoy the enemies there very much. Too many armored bullet sponges that make me really focus on DPS builds to get past them. Prometheus and Typhon are great bosses but their regions are mid.

At the end of the day, these games are comparably good and its hard to imagine anyone who enjoys the basic gameplay structure not having a great time with them both. While Hades 2 made the exact changes I'd hope to see from a sequel, I'd still say I prefer the first by a hair, due more to my investment in the story and characters than anything else.

Hades = 9.5/10

I've barely watched the Dream at all, they're not a team that the media has pushed into my interest, but they're currently at the top of the east and besides a lack of 3pt shooting appear to be a very well-rounded team with multiple stars. Should they be seen with NY as a real contender in their conference?

Howard and Gray are both stars, but again they don't get the media attention of their peers. I'm curious to hear from people who really watch the team, are either of them slept on as truly top-tier players or are they really just fringe stars on a good team?

Finally watched it last night, having greatly enjoyed the first two movies. It was fine, but definitely my least favorite.

There are a lot of good elements in this movie, especially the main character Father J, but man does the reveal drag over the final 45min. For me, the never-ending twist got lost in its own sauce and I really stopped caring about each new reveal in the chain.

I liked the message the film was going for, and using Father J as it's vessel, but I honestly wish we'd gotten more time with him being himself at the end instead of spending soooo long on the convoluted mystery reveal.

The side characters were still good but I also think this is my least favorite expanded cast of the 3.

Saw a post like this and it seemed fun

This is my favorite way to play Magic, my friend insists I'm the only one. I don't like politicking and the more people playing the harder it is for me to stay engaged all the way through as the games end up longer. Meanwhile 1v1, or even with 3 people total, the game is faster and I enjoy the strategic balance more with how I play.

Just curious if anyone else likes to play with less people or if it really is unanimous that Commander has to be played with 4+ people.
