Finding a Logistics Coordinator role

I am currently working a logistics associate role and have been for close to 2 years now. I am also pursuing an online logistics degree via SNHU, which I will be done with this month. I am getting to that point where I am no longer entry-level and a logistics coordinator role is most likely the logical next step forward. I have been looking for such roles now, but haven't had any luck aside from some interviews. Is there something that I am doing wrong?! Do I need to move or network more?! Is something wrong with my resume?!

What Happens to People Who Cant Find A Job After College?!

What happens to people who simply can't find a job after college?! Do they take minimum wage jobs and stay in them?! Do they go into trades like trucking, construction, etc?! Do they go into their family's business?!

Entry-Level / Mid-Level Positions

I am currently working an entry-level role at a logistics company and have been for the past almost 2 years now. I am also close to being done with my online degree in logistics. Right now I am trying to figure out my next steps. I have been applying to logistics coordinator, logistics analyst, and such roles but with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can advance my career?! I have been trying to find companies to apply to and whatever companies I apply to don't respond or reject me.

Anybody a NEET due to just being chronically unlucky?!

I know I was one of them. I was a NEET because I simply couldn't get a job despite applying for hundreds of thousands of them. Yes, even McDonalds and Walmart didn't want me. Also went to university for accounting and struggled despite not skipping any classes, doing all my work and studying. Right now, I am pursuing an online degree, which is going better gradewide, and working a related full-time job. However, I am worried about not advancing due to not having any luck finding a better job in the field despite several applications. But yeah, I totally get not being a NEET due to simply being chronically unlucky.

Entry Level/Mid-Level Positions

I am about to graduate from SNHU with my online Bachelors Degree in Logistics/Transportation Management in a few weeks. I am currently working a very entry-level job at GXO and have been for the past almost 2 years now. Right now, I am trying to figure out my next steps after completing my degree and my current job. I am only a couple years into my career so I am fairly new. I am looking at positions at my company and outside my company. The roles I am look at are coordinator, specialist, analyst, and supervisor. However, I have been applying to roles outside my company but without any luck. I once had an interview with Union Pacific, in their Loup Logistics division a couple years ago. Does anyone have any suggestions on which companies to apply to?! Are there any large logistics companies that I can apply to?! I am in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area if that helps. I am looking to get into a desk job at a logistics company in the future.

Where can I find Logistics Coordinator Roles?!

I am currently an entry-level associate at GXO. I have been at my role for the past almost 2 years now and am pursuing an online degree via SNHU in Logistics and Transportation Management, which I hope to be done with this month. Anyway, after my entry-level role and degree, I understand that Logistics Coordinator or some specialist role is the logical next step forward. I am currently looking at Logistics Coordinator roles, whether at XPO or 3PLs. Do those still exist?! I have been trying to find such roles and the ones I do apply to I either get rejected or ghosted. I have a few phone screens this week for a transportation specialist and an account manager role. I have logistics experience-almost 2 years of it and I can't get any roles within my company or outside of it. even with an online degree in addition.

Career Struggles

I am currently working an entry-level logistics job and pursuing an online degree related to that field. However, recently, I have been thinking about my struggles in finding a career path for myself. Getting interviews for jobs in my field has been a lot easier. However, it's still hard to find better jobs in my field despite having that related experience and online degree-soon to be.

Every application I try to send in gets met with rejection after rejection. Even for part-time, retail and warehouse jobs. I just never get the job. I am not lazy, I want to work and build a career but never get the chance to do so despite applying constantly. Its so frustrating and heartbreaking. Its been like this ever since I was a teenager. Everyone else got their first jobs at 16, while I'd be still applying at 18 and still not get anything. The same thing continued in college. Until I got a job at the on campus dining center as a dishwasher. Worked that for 3 years until graduation. Ever since I graduated high school and even college, my life has just been one big struggle to find a path (or even get work experience) for myself. When I went to college, the first time, I went to university straight after high school, studying accounting, and struggled despite hard work and significant effort and graduated, but with a still low GPA. I couldn't get internships due to my low GPA and weak resume (despite applying for part-time jobs left and right). The only part-time job I had on my resume was a dishwashing job on campus. After graduation, I couldn't find a job due to lack of experience and weak resume as it was the only job I had done.

How to get a desk job.

I am currently working in logistics, but in an entry-level role on the warehouse floor. I still do computerized duties on my laptop. However, I am looking to move into a desk job in the near future. However, I have applied for and had interviews but haven't had any success thus far. I am almost done with my bachelors degree but won't graduate or get my degree until this Fall. I have been looking and applying to various Logistics Coordinator roles but haven't had any success. Can someone please give me some advice on how to get a desk job within the industry?!

I am almost done with my degree and am working full-time at an entry-level logistics role. I am trying to find a Logistics Coordinator or desk Job but am having no luck so far aside from the occasional interview. Are there any logistics companies or 3PL's out there?!

Next Steps after Entry-Level Job

I am currently working an entry-level logistics role at GXO and have been for almost 2 years now. I am also pursuing an online degree via SNHU in Logistics/Transportation Management, which I hope to be done with this Fall. My question concerns the next steps following my entry-level job. I took the job just to gain a foothold in the industry, and prior to that I had worked part-time jobs at both Amazon as a Warehouse Associate and FedEx as a Package Handler for about 3 years combined while pursuing my Associates. I have been trying to figure out the next steps after my entry-level job especially since my schooling is coming to an end. I was thinking Logistics Coordinator if a Specialist or Analyst role does not open up at my company in the future. I am open to anything, but I just wanted to get some guidance as to what roles to apply to after my entry-level job.

Getting Started

I am currently working full-time at GXO in an entry-level logistics role. In this role, I perform basic entry-level duties such as inventory counts, preparing reports, dockside duties, receiving in shipments and order verification. I am also pursuing an online degree via SNHU in Logistics and Transportation Management, which I expect to be done with next month, but won't get my degree until Fall. I plan to either stay with my company and move up into higher roles or find roles within other companies. However, I am not having any success doing so at the moment as I have applied to roles like Logistics Analyst and Coordinator but haven't had any luck. I understand that experience is everything in this industry, which is why I took the job in the first place in lieu of an internship. I am also done with my degree and am worried about being able to advance to other roles. I plan to stay at my entry level job for at least another year before moving on. What advice would you give to someone new to the industry when it comes to networking, building relationships, establishing rapport?!

What's next after degree and entry-level job?!

I am currently pursuing an online degree via SNHU in Logistics/Transportation Management, which I will be finished with next month. However, since there is no official summer commencement, I won't receive my degree in the mail until sometime this Fall. I am also currently working full-time at an entry-level job at GXO and have been since late Aug/early Sep 2024. Prior to this, I worked part-time at FedEx and Amazon for about 3.5 years combined while pursuing my Associates Degree in Business. These jobs helped me decide on Logistics as a career path. I understand that experience is everything in this industry, which is why I am trying to rack up as much experience as I can. In lieu of an internship, I ended up getting a full-time entry-level job at GXO. At my entry-level job, I perform basic concierge duties such as order verification, inventory counts and consumptions, receiving in shipments-outbound/inbound, dockside duties, and getting materials signed off for clients. I am getting better at my job and learning a lot. I would love to stay and grow within my company. However, I am also open to exploring other avenues once I am done with my degree. Sadly, I haven't had much success there as I have been applying to roles such as planner, analyst, coordinator, supervisor, but with no luck. So looks like I will have to stay with GXO for now. I would love to move into a desk role soon, but don't know how to proceed.

What Desk Jobs Exist in Supply Chain/Logistics?!

I am currently working an entry-level logistics role, but in a warehouse/floor setting. As someone new to this industry, I am curious as to what desk jobs exist in this field. I am wanting to hopefully change to a desk job sometime in my career in the near future. Can someone give me suggestions as to how I can transition from a warehouse/floor setting to a computer setting in the near future or what desk roles exist in this industry?!

Career Development Advice.

Currently finishing up an online degree via SNHU in Logistics/Transportation Management. Will be finished this summer, but won't get my degree until Fall due to no August commencement. I am currently working for GXO as an entry-level associate and have been for the past almost 2 years now. At my job, I perform basic-entry-level duties such as inventory counting, receiving shipments, dockside duties, getting materials signed off for clients (customer service), and order verification. Previously, I worked part-time for both Amazon and FedEx for about 3 years while pursuing my associates degree. My company is reimbursing my tuition. I am looking at positions within my company as well as elsewhere if it doesn't work out. I tried applying for positions at other companies like coordinator and haven't had any success. My long term end-goal is to start a trucking company in a recession proof industry. As someone who is relatively new to this field does anyone have any advice on how I should go about advancing in this field?! I understand that experience is everything in this field, which is why I am seeking advice on how I should go about advancing within the field.
