Currently, I'm working at Amazon as an Amazon Associate.

I'd really like to find something that's a mixture of physical labor at 30% labor:70% mathematics or problem solving.

Preferably, something that's meaningful and pays reasonably well. Although, I'm quite comfortable living off of just $40,000/year.

I really do enjoy a physically demanding job, but Amazon is just all physical and incredibly tedious work.

What do you guys think would happen if we all bought up $0.01 deals on Amazon and then didn't buy a single other thing?

Would the company lose money or do you think their goal is to get rid of excess product to make room on the FC floor? My assumption is that it's either that or they're designed to be loss leaders to drive you to keep cycling through products until you get tripped up and buy something else expensive that looks like a deal even though it isn't.

Personally, I think I'm going to do it just so that I can resell the product back on Facebook marketplace or somewhere else.

My assumption is that the product I'm buying will at least hurt Amazon's profits since it's all iPhone 17 cases and few pieces of clothing I need.

Dog Park and hiking discord

No idea if this will catch on, but I made a silly discord for setting up events like group hikes with our dogs and dog park meetups.

I wanted it to be a bit easier to plan meetups for dogs to socialize and Facebook groups seem to be way too slow to do that with.

I'll also be adding in some LGBTQia+ roles so people can find other LGBTQia+ members or allies of the community if they need to because I don't see enough of my trans friends out at the dog park.

If anyone wants to utilize it to schedule dog training as well just please be positive training focused. I'd rather not have any Dog Daddies here on my discord

So, I just recently found out that if AI draws artwork from my prompts that I don't have the copyrights to it.

Who does? Would the creators of ChatGPT have it?

Also, if I were to edit the photos it draws in photoshop afterwards, say to add text overlaying the image and my Instagram page, would that now gain me copyright of the new image?

UPS just got another $1/hr pay raise for all their employees and $2.25/hr to come. We could negotiate for a pretty substantial raise if we joined their union and improve work conditions substantially. Probably even more than UPS Workers since they're already getting paid more.

We have plenty of collective bargaining power. So much so that we could effectively start a pretty substantial boycott of Amazon products and services.

Seems to have come up after the update, but idk.

There's no way that the TMPS sensor is dead. It's only 3 years old.

I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Apparently it's fairly common for a bug in the update to cause this.

I've been trying to use my off time at Amazon to apply for new jobs and it seems every time I do the apps or websites I try to use never seem to function right.

Right now I can't seem to upload my new resume for a job application.

It's really odd.

Just found a much better job that I'm highly qualified for at my local library.

They pay better, treat their employees better, no repetitive physical labor aside from shelving books.

I can't wait to quit this fucking job and never return. Amazon can suck a big one.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. The safety crew just informed me that I'm no longer allowed to get treatment for my back without a doctor's note saying they can treat me.

I have tight hamstrings and hip flexors which occasionally cause me lower back pain. 🤷‍♂️

I'm honestly not even sure why and the new team member they assigned to help me out doesn't seem to know either.

It honestly seems kinda odd.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if they could give any kind of insight into what I can expect going forward.
