According to nihilists if I murder a child, that has no meaning right? Theres absolutely nothing wrong with it

Asking because i want to write a story with christian themes and i wanna delve into nihilism and so i’m wondering how far it really goes. Obv i’m gonna argue against it and show its wrong as christians as a whole, affirm life completely and say it has plenty of meaning, overflowing with it even, but yea just wanted to know if i’ve got the jist of nihilism right

Do yall ever want someone to lovingly caress and comfort you, as they explain theology to you? Like i feel like it’d be most effective by far in that scenario

Like imagine lying in the lap of your wife/husband as they gently run their hands through your hair and explain transubstantiation with perfect simple easy to understand metaphors? Like as a bed time story, then lay you to sleep, give you a gentle kiss on your forehead, tell you goodnight and God bless you then let you sleep?

(Lowkey a joke, lowkey not. Depends on u, dear reader

My top 10 favorite peaks in fiction

(reupload with names of the works this time)

Didn’t include movies for the most part as it’d make things hard (as if it wasn’t already super hard)

I would have put ranking flair but there was nun like that unfortunately

Appealing art style? Like visually appealing?

Essentially does she look good? Would u read a manga with this artstyle?

I love six feet under and i haven’t seen a single second of it

Purely off of those beautiful ssa tiktok edits of it, especially those with the six feet under final montage song playing.

Finished vinland saga a while back but tbh askeladd to me wasn’t all that people hyped him up to be

I mean he was really cool don’t get me wrong and hes dynamic with thorfinn in those last eps of season 1 really exploded but before that he was just a really enjoyable and interesting villain but all this stuff about him being “top 1 antag” i don’t see it. I really like his “dynamic” with thorfinn in season 2 as well but unless i’m missing something to me he was overall a really smart, funny, enjoyable viallain with an entertaining personality, interesting and good backstory and great main dynamic but not really “top 1 antag in animanga” (for me atleast) kinda thing

Not a catholic but just wanted to say yalls organization and allat is really cool

Like i used to think at one point heaven was just a perputual static frozen place with nothing to do except sing songs praising God all day and that used to worry me meanwhile the catechism already debunked all that and answers all concerns and explains heaven is a dynamic reality where you will progress, discover, and fully exert your powers, but entirely without the "awful" elements of earthly frustration. And that since God is infinite we’ll never run out of stuff to discover, discovery will be endless. This is all to say i think its all really cool and i love you guys🙏

(Woulda posted this in the main catholic whatever but u can only post twice a week so yea)

My 2 cents on cure 1997 (praise and critique)

Lemme keep this short and simple first off praise:

  1. The atmosphere- wow oh wow does it set an atmosphere and tone like no other movie i’ve watched by the end does, its scary and tenseful and heavy in a way and made me think like could all this happen to me? (Ik they explained hypnosis doesn’t bypass ur morals but still)
2-The antagonist-very very very interesting, unsettling and introspective
  2. Writing quality- After reading an analysis on it i gotta admit its writing quality is superb and it truly does have a convincing argument for being the best written film of all time
  3. The acting- incredible

Criticism:

Its really just one: Atleast imo to understand it beyond stuff like “anyone can be a murderer” or whatever u need external knowledge about topics such as civilization ennui and banality of evil in order to really get a depthful understanding of it. Ik its been debated for time and time its meaning and fairs ik it can be (to a not small at all degree) a subjective film to alot of people but i just really wish it spoke about those aforementioned topics in the film cuz then people would be able to understand it beyond just “we all secretly want to kill” and stuff and have a deeper more thoughtful general consensus understanding and/or interpretation of the film.

Creds for the analysis i read: “ourtransientlives” on tiktok

Is twin peaks hard to understand? Especially season 3?

Please don’t come at me with any of the usual online nonsense of “nah its super easy if u don’t get it your dumb bra” or” i got it all on my first watch easyyy” etc etc but lets be honest, is it? Cuz its on a very high spot on my watch list as everyone calls it one of if not the best show ever made and stuff like that

If you like anime (and honestly just fiction in general) and want to understand love please watch Violet Evergarden-it’s life changing

Best representation of love ever genuinely ever.

Pure, beautiful, heartbreaking, inspiring and deeply moving.

Genuinely just the greatest. (Also fyi it’s far far far deeper than it seems on the surface so try give it a real effort to understand and analyze it)

Changed my life and I mean that.
