A Trip Thru Time Fantastic - Harmonic Odometer

After listening to the full album playthrough with Mikey Thunder last night on Twitch, I heard something I think we all picked up on through the first listen. The album is intentionally put together in a way that shows a clear image of travel.

I scrubbed the site for the harmonic keys and bpms, then put together a few python scripts to visualize the distance traveled via the Circle of Fifths. Track 1 is home and every next track shows the key distance travelled overtime.

Once I saw the output I was pretty damn impressed with the integrally sound approach to the track order. It's not only a story about departure, but acceleration, suspension, transformation and arrival. I think it literally mirrors the album title/cover and all that we have been witness to lately.

Kudos to the intent and a huge cheers to release. It's a special piece of music history. Hope you enjoy the nerdy reflection

One of the those tracks that reminds me of Dave

A new discovery from today, released two days ago, whole album is pretty damn special as well. It's called Sustains the Soul by Stupid Fried - an exploration of 105 bpm and half-time, based out of Detroit

New player tip: If you are near the Red/Blue divide, this is a great area to look for garries and outposts

The opposing team will likely set up garries right behind the red zone, a few meters into the blue zone to avoid proximity red flags / lock out. Traverse the line and you are likely to hear something nearby

New Album Coming!

Was just watching through the performance from Sonic Temple on YouTube and Parker said a new TSSF album is coming in between songs.

Also they are sounding so good right now btw.

That and a new NP album this summer man holy peak. I can’t wait.

Am I missing something?

Why would all of the feedback lead to a release date 1 month away? I'd be curious to hear some positive perspectives, is it really possible to clean up the majority of glaring bugs in that short amount of time? Are they locked into a release date because it was already set by stakeholders? Is there something they know we don't? Are they just fixing the bugs with CODEX and Claude Code now and can develop 3x as fast?

Help me understand how this even remotely kosher...

Yesterday I picked a spot on the Cocodona 250 course about 10 miles from the finish to see Courtney Dauwalter jog past

My journey as a runner began with discovering Courtney in 2018 and Jim Walmsley in 2019. Their stories drove me to move to Flagstaff in 2024 for the mountain running. Over time bouts of depression took hold, where going outside became difficult. I haven't run in over a year but yesterday I told myself to get out there and see a hero of mine for the first time. When Courtney passed it was like watching the Tour de France in slow motion, the stillness in the air mixed with an overwhelming sense of discipline, grit and focus.

It became a full circle moment 15 minutes later while walking back to my car. I saw Jim Walmsley's wife, Jess Brazeau, walk past me at Buffalo Park. I did a triple take, didn't say hi but turned around a few seconds later and snapped a photo to remember the moment.

The energy in Flag yesterday was truly surreal, and I hope all of you get to experience it one day.

Feeling grateful and wanted to share.
