LC condition check - help needed.

First time poster in this group and a long time admirer.

I’m looking to buy this 2000 model LC 4.7 VX. £16,000 (GBP). 125,000 miles. Is this a decent price?

Please take a look at the rust level. No gaping holes, a few bubbling rust spots and surface rust. Am I missing anything? Are there any major repairs or safety issues on the horizon?

Let me know what you think!

Another visitor tonight!

So glad I found this sub!

Another nocturnal visitor tonight. I’ve put out a plant pot plate of water. Our garden is sealed so I’m not sure how i got in or how it’ll get out.

Planning with my neighbours right now to put in hedgehog doors between gardens.

Nocturnal Visitors

Busy night in our garden! 🦇 They come back every night from around April to September. Any tips to make them happier or more welcome?

University Course Partnership

I’m looking for ideas and strategies to support a merger. Does anyone have experience of this sort of thing?

If university A and university B decided to team up and offer a course together eg: business studies, in order to cut costs and share teaching staff, what would need to be considered?

Eg: if York and Lancaster both offered business but one university had staff but no students and the other had the students but not enough staff.

  1. How should modules be split across campuses?
  2. How would students access course materials?
  3. Would teaching staff have offices at both locations?
  4. How to track attendance at lectures when both universities approach attendance differently?
  5. Who would the awarding body be?
  6. Would you graduate from York or Lancaster at the end of the course?
  7. Are their studies to show the impact of this on student attainment/satisfaction?
  8. How would funding work? Which university would receive the funding?
  9. Online, hybrid or in person?
  10. Does this exist in other universities?
  11. Does the Office for Students support this sort of merger?

Your worst advice! Let’s have a laugh!

What’s the worst thing you’ve been told while going through IVF? maybe a colleague, a loved one or friend. What’s the worst thing they’ve said when trying to ‘support’ you? Let’s have a laugh.

  1. A friend with 3 children said to me ‘You think IVF is bad, I have triplets. How do you think I feel?’
  2. ’Well if it’s not part of God‘s plan, it wont happen for you.’
  3. Have you tried tracking your temperature?
  4. It’ll be worth it.

Second time this month.

He keeps pulling his vent out. It’s gaffer taped at the back!! Need to tie a bell to this bugger. Traps laid and now we wait.

You’d think free food, cosy hides and no rent would be enough to stay.

My poor, sweet lady is terminal 💔

It’s a lymphoma in her intestine. There’s nothing we can do for her but keep her pain-free and happy.

First game out in a while! My little acorn stands arrived!

Does anyone else do away with the faffy tree?
