Red L.E.D light therapy for hair growth❤️‍🔥👍

I’ve been using red light therapy for my hair and I’m impressed with the difference I’ve seen.

After dealing with hair loss and areas where my hair has been repeatedly pulled, I was looking for something that could support my scalp and encourage regrowth.

I started using red light therapy about 5 months ago starting on a lower setting working my way up to a higher setting and for longer time periods each session. I try to use my light cap 3x a week and over time I’ve noticed alot more new growth coming through and my hair looking healthier.

I’m not saying it’s some magical cure or that it’s going to work exactly the same for everyone — but for me, I genuinely feel like it’s helping.

And if you have TTM, you know how exciting it is to see those little hairs coming back after everything your hair and scalp have been through.

Has anyone else here tried red light therapy?

🔴 What device are you using?

🔴 How often do you use it?

🔴 How long before you noticed a difference?

🔴 Have you noticed regrowth in areas affected by pulling?

I’d love to hear your experiences because I think this is something more people in the TTM community should know about. ❤️

Repairing your synthetic wig with steam

Don't throw away your old frizzy, knotted wigs! This is a game changer for anyone who wears synthetic wigs. I found a really simple step by step guide on YouTube that explains the process ^^^ I personally use this method so I can confirm it works! So if your synthetic wig is frizzy, knotted, and lost all smoothness applying this method will bring the wig back to life! enjoy.. 😍😘♥️

Wigs wigs and more WIGS.. 💁🦄

Okay… has anyone else noticed how much wig technology has changed?! 👀

As someone with trichotillomania, I feel like we went from:

🧢 wig cap

🫠 wig slipping

🧴 glue everywhere

😩 scalp irritation

😤 adjusting your wig 47 times a day

…to suddenly having some REALLY interesting options.

And honestly, I want to know what everyone here has discovered.

Some things I've come across recently:

✨ Silicone wig grips that can hold a wig in place without glue or tape — including designs made specifically to work on bare scalps.

✨ Glueless wigs with built-in grip systems that use things like silicone strips, adjustable bands and specialised cap construction.

✨ Custom suction wigs 🤯 — yes, apparently there are custom-made wigs designed to create a secure seal against the scalp WITHOUT traditional glue or tape. Some are even made specifically for people with trichotillomania and complete hair loss.

✨ Ultra-thin grip systems designed to avoid that bulky “something is under my wig” feeling.

✨ Breathable/moisture-wicking wig caps for people who wear wigs for long periods.

And this got me thinking…

WHAT ELSE IS OUT THERE THAT WE DON'T KNOW ABOUT?!

If you wear a wig because of trichotillomania, alopecia, hair loss, or another condition:

👇 Tell us your BEST wig discovery.

It can be:

• A new wig technology

• A product that actually works

• A wig company that understands hair loss

• A clever way you've secured your wig

• A scalp-friendly product

• A wig-care gadget

• Something that makes wigs more comfortable

• Something that makes your wig look ridiculously natural

• Or something you've invented yourself!

And PLEASE tell us what country you're in because something available in Australia might be impossible to find in the US, UK, Canada, etc.

Let's basically create a TTM/Wig Technology Cheat Sheet in the comments. 🧠✨

Because if there's a product out there that makes wearing a wig 10x easier…

I want to know about it. 😂

👇 What's the one wig product or technology you wish you'd discovered YEARS ago?

What is currently in your "Trich Toolkit"? Share your best physical barriers and distractions!

Hi everyone!

As our community grows, let's start building a resource guide of things that actually help interrupt the urge to pull. Since hair pulling often happens automatically when our hands are idle (watching TV, reading, working), having physical barriers or sensory replacements can make a huge difference. What works best for you? Comment below with your favorite: Physical barriers: (e.g., beanies, silk bonnets, finger cots, medical tape on fingertips, acrylic nails) Fidgets / Sensory toys: (e.g., Koosh balls, textured rings, pulling-stones, velcro) Habit trackers or apps: (e.g., Slightly Robot, I Am Sober) Let's share what works so we can all test out new strategies!
