FedEx stole my mom’s Oura ring - what do we do?
The delivery kept getting delayed and delayed and when it finally arrived, it was a completely empty box. My mom has contacted Oura multiple times, fedex, and her credit card but they are all telling her she’s out of luck, because she can’t prove it essentially. She’s out almost $500 (she already bought a new one because she wanted it so badly but obviously assuming she’d get her money back from the stolen one) Anyone know what we can do next? This is so crazy that this can happen to people.
Edit: for more context, fedex said to file a claim, they needed Oura to fill out a report for her, and Oura is refusing. So now at a loss.
Baby songs?
What’s the name of the artist that sings tolerable baby songs on Spotify?
Can they self soothe in a swaddle?
4.5 month old, sleeps great overnight and has for a while, but takes a lot of effort to actually put to sleep for bedtime and naps. She is obsessed with her hands so the swaddle is mandatory for her to sleep still. We use a snoo so no worries on rolling concerns (they’re strapped down).
My question is does a baby need to be unswaddled before you can sleep train them so they have access to their hands etc to self soothe? Is it cruel to sleep train a swaddled baby? And would you have to start all over when you transition them to a sleep sack?
Why is it impossible to define baby’s eye colors?
Like what is this? And any guesses? 4 months with a blue eyed parent and hazel eyed
HELP! - Bug? Placement issue every night
I think our owlet has a bug/glitch. Every single night, without fail, for the entire time we’ve used the owlet (baby is 16 weeks, so 16 weeks), our owlet alerts to a placement issue the moment she falls asleep.
Ive bought a new sensor, I bought new socks, I chatted with their customer service for weeks, nothing worked. We had to just move the base to another room, essentially making the owlet useless because we can’t hear it now.
It will beep for 5-20 minutes after she falls asleep stating a fit issue, and will eventually just stop beeping and fix itself on its own. The baby is always completely still when this happens and it is always the moment she falls asleep. If she wakes at 2am and falls back asleep at 2:15, it happens again then too. Every. Single. Time.
Anyone else??? I’m desperate to get this (expensive) thing to work.
Transition from 4 to 3 naps
Did you do it cold turkey one day or a slow transition? And at what age?
My 15 week old is on moms on call pretty much exactly right now (1.5 hour WWs and three 1.5 hour naps plus a 45 min cat nap). Should I start extending her WWs and shortening naps? Or extending WWs until the cat nap goes away? Or just switch cold turkey at 4 months?
Leaving baby alone on play mat?
How long (if at all) are you leaving your baby content on a play mat to grab some food, use the bathroom, do a quick thing in another room or another floor of your house? And what age baby do you have?
I have a 3 month old who needs mostly contact naps so I don’t have much time to eat, etc throughout the day. Her stuff is all upstairs and instead of bringing her down with me to make some quick lunch, is it ok to leave her content on her mat? Looking at toys or kicking her piano? Or is this unsafe or harmful? Not sure how long is too long (obviously if I heard her cry I’d run upstairs but it hasn’t happened yet).
Help - last feed of the night struggles
I have a 12 week old who is exclusively breastfed. She does great, no issues, I slightly over produced until she started sleeping through the night around 7 weeks and now I think I produce just enough.
A couple weeks ago she started getting very fussy at the last feed of the night around 7pm. Latched for a minute or two then would push away screaming. Calmed her down for a while, try again, same thing, switch boobs, etc etc and it would just take forever to get a feed finished. So we switched to a breastmilk bottle instead to make sure she was eating enough before bed. She took it great.
I don’t want to do this forever though so after 2 weeks I tried to go back to the boob. I thought maybe we were creating a bad association with the last feed and she was anticipating something bad so it was a cycle - hence why we did the bottle. I was obviously pumping while she did the bottle with dad, and I’d do 30+ mins on the spectra to try and maintain or increase supply. Now tonight I try the boob again and it’s the same thing. She latched, fine for 1 min, letdown happens and she’s screaming. So my other thought that my milk came too slow at night may not be true if she got upset when the letdown happened? I don’t think it’s too fast either. It’s way faster in the morning and she’s fine with it.
Any thoughts? Tips? Happen to anyone else? 🙏
