Going through some old pennies and this 1955 Lincoln cent caught my eye.
The date looks unusual to me, especially the 5s, and I also took close-ups of LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST because I know the real 1955 DDO should show strong doubling in more than just the date.
I’m not claiming it’s genuine I’m trying to figure out whether this is:
the real 1955 DDO
machine doubling
wear/damage
or just the dark toning making it look strange
I included the closest photos I could get. What markers should I be looking for?
Would love opinions from anyone familiar with the 1955 DDO.

This dime belonged to my grandfather and has been in the family for a long time. It appears to be a 1916-D Mercury dime.
I know these are heavily counterfeited and that fake “D” mintmarks are sometimes added to genuine 1916 dimes, so I wanted some opinions before sending it in.
Based on the photos, does the mintmark look correct/original to you? Does anything about the coin raise a red flag?
I’m not planning to clean it or alter it in any way. If you think it has a reasonable chance of being genuine, would you send it to PCGS or NGC for authentication/grading?

I recently came across this raw 1914-D Lincoln Wheat Cent and I’m looking for opinions before I decide whether to sell it.
It weighs approximately 3.0 grams on my digital scale (photo included). I’ve attached photos of the obverse, reverse, date, mint mark, and weight.
I know the 1914-D is one of the most counterfeited Lincoln cents, and I’m not asking for a value estimate right now. I’m mainly interested in hearing from collectors who have experience with this date.
Does anything about this coin stand out as an obvious counterfeit or altered mint mark, or does it appear to have a reasonable chance of being genuine?
I understand that no one can authenticate a coin from photos alone, but I’d appreciate any opinions or red flags you notice before I decide whether to have it professionally authenticated or sell it as a raw coin.
