Frist für Auszug nach Trennung

Hallo zusammen,

Was sagt ihr?

TP04 to PC1?

So i own a TP04 for about 10 years. I loved this thing and to this day it works well. Over the years the power button started to stick and barely works by now and the centering of the rotation is like 5-10 degrees off from app setting.

Furthermore im overdue for a filter change and just today have an offer where i could get the PC1 for 280€ incl an extra filter which i could use for my humidify. So basically instead of replacing both filters for 160€ i pay 120€ extra to replace my TP04.

Does this make sense or am i downgrading/ wasting money and should rathrr save up and get a PC2 or PC3 somewhere down the line?

Are People switching... And to what?

So dont get me wrong, i absolutely love the general Pixel Experience. The Software is a delight, the phone feels fast and smooth and most of the stuff is easy to use and smart. Furthermore i adore my Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds Pro 2 (even though they are due for an upgrade).

However with Pixel 11 leaks seeming pretty finalized without any huge suprise left i keep wondering if people plan to stay with Pixel or looking around for other options. Personally im just not sure. While i feel like the processor talk is heavily overblown ,especially from a performance standpoint, the rest of the hardware starts feeling a little behind as well. In example the battery is just fine and starting to be below average this year, the screen is sublime but with bezzels that are just not where they should be, speakers that are just meh, vibration motor that didnt get an upgrade in years (and actually feels worse on my 10 pro compared to the 9 pro) etc. Everything feels barely premium enough to actually call it a flagship with nothing standing out. I would even go as far and say the iPhone 17 Pro or Oppo Find X9 Ultra have better hardware in every freaking category except cameras where i feel like they trade blows depending on what you are looking at.

Adding to injury google really doesnt care enough with all their features being available across the globe. They are absolutely giving a lot of special features to folks in america that might actually be a great selling point. But in germany we arent getting shit. Even some years old stuff just gets left out, maybe partly to data protection laws that google doesnt want to fullfill, but that completely kills this usp here.

Im seriously not sure what i will do and most likely wait if they bundle the AI Pro Plan for another year, but if they wont i might have to look at different options. Really tough to be a Pixel fan sometimes because looking at the rest of the market they seem to get stuff right thats hard to pull off while completely taking the piss on other things that at least seem easy.

New QC Ultra 2 issues

I just got a new set of Bose QuietComfort Ultra 2 headphones. They are honestly lovely overall, but unfortunately, I've run into two issues, and one of them is a total dealbreaker for me.

First, I completely misjudged the codec compatibility. I thought it was a general rule that AptX Adaptive headphones are backwards compatible with AptX HD. I planned to use that with my Pixel 10 Pro, but since Pixels don't support AptX Adaptive, I'm stuck using standard AAC. It feels completely unnecessary to leave out the extra codecs since the hardware is definitely capable of it, but I guess I should have fact-checked that beforehand.

The real dealbreaker, though, is the right hinge. It makes a very noticeable clicking noise when I move my head. It's impossible to ignore and pretty much ruins the experience.

I'm not sure if this is just a quality control issue on my specific unit or if it's a known design flaw that I should expect on every pair. Has anyone else experienced this hinge noise? I'm wondering if it's worth exchanging them for a replacement or if I should just return them entirely. Any input would be really appreciated!

Thinking of switching to QC Ultra 2. What am I missing?

Hi everyone, I’m a consultant, which means I spend a massive amount of time traveling on planes and trains, jumping from one remote meeting to the next, and taking a lot of calls during my daily walks. I am currently using the Sonos Ace. Don't get me wrong, they actually sound quite good, but the stock sound profile is just a bit too linear and flat for my taste when listening to music on the go. More importantly, the light clamping force is a real issue during my walks. Whenever I talk or move my head a bit faster, the physical seal behind my ears breaks slightly, which causes the ANC to constantly dip, struggle, and recalibrate.

Because of this, I went to a local store to test the Bose QC Ultra (Gen 2), and they immediately became my absolute favorite. Even though the stock Bose sound is known to be quite bass-heavy, after I went into the EQ settings and reduced the bass and treble slightly, the sound profile felt absolutely perfect to me. The Ultra 2 feels like the ideal tool for my everyday routine. The fit is noticeably lighter and more secure, which I expect will completely solve my ANC dropout issue while walking, and the aggressive ANC is exactly what I need to block out plane engines or train chatter.

Before I pull the trigger, I would love to get a quick reality check from the community to make sure I'm not overlooking anything. For those of you who use the Ultra 2, how does the microphone perform outdoors, particularly when dealing with wind? I would also love to know if there are any lingering software bugs, connectivity issues, or mechanical flaws. And finally, what might I have missed entirely, or what could potentially become a major annoyance or dealbreaker for my specific use case? Thanks for your help!

Every premium ANC headphone has a major flaw. Why?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking to upgrade my daily driver headphones, and after doing weeks of research (and testing a few), I’ve come to a frustrating realization: The "complete package" simply does not exist.

It feels like every single flagship ANC headphone on the market right now forces you to accept at least one massive compromise.

Here is the current state of the market as I see it:

- Sony XM6 / XM5 series: Great ANC, but the out-of-the-box tuning is muddy/bloated, the software/touch controls can be highly unreliable, and the comfort is just meh compared to older generations. The Collexion only tackles the comfort and gives a better build quality while asking a ridicolous price.

- Bose QC Ultra 2: Best-in-class comfort, but plagued by annoying adaptive ANC bugs and a noticeable background hiss (high noise floor).

- Sennheiser (HBD 630): Great battery life and amazing sound, but the ANC is mediocre compared and the build quality feels surprisingly cheap/plasticky for the price.

- B&W PX7 S3 / PX8: Gorgeous premium build, but the ANC is just average, and the Bluetooth connection stability is notoriously shaky.

- Sonos Ace: Sound tuning is mediocre/disappointing for music, and it lacks basic functionality.

- Apple AirPods Max: Great ANC and build, but they are heavy af and are basically useless if you aren't fully locked into the Apple ecosystem.

- Focal Bathys: Incredible sound quality, but they are bulky, heavy, and the ANC is just okay, definitely not enough for heavy commuting or flights.

- B&O Beoplay H100: Beautiful luxury materials, but the ANC is subpar for the price, and they cost an astronomical amount of money.

How is it possible that in 2026, no manufacturer can just nail the basics? Why is it so hard to combine a comfortable build, very good ANC, and solid sound tuning without a catastrophic catch?

Bose Quietcomfort Ultra 2 - Should I?

So im currentely in the market for a pair of ANC over ear headphones. I got a new job where im on the go and travel a lot and thought i treat myself. Currentely i have the Sonos Ace which are fine but ANC could be stronger. Especially while walking the seal isnt perfect because of the weight and very little clamping force. That results in very uneven anc and sound performance.

After looking at the market i feel like for an android user anything besides Bose and Sony isnt all that relevant. Maybe Sennheisers new Momentum 5 will be worth a look but looking at history it most likely will again sound good, have crazy battery life but lackluster mic and anc performance.

I tried both the Sony and the Bose in store. The Bose where very weird to setup, took me five minutes and the controls definitely werent intuitive but once everything was setup i quite liked the sound (too much bass but hey i can fix that within the app). I got a slight pressure sensation but im not that used to anc over ear so i feel like i get used to it. The Sony had what felt like ever so slightly better anc in the crowded tech market but it really was minimal. They however felt super cheap and the sound was more problematic i would say.

I was pretty much set on the bose until i looked around on reddit and heard a lot of critic about adaptive anc and anc artefacts in cases with unexpected noises. These could be absolute deal breakers for me but i have no idea how much this will translate into my actual usage.

I would love to hear your thoughts and maybe give me alternative options if you have any. Definitely seems weird that no option on the market seems to fit my need perfectely, especially because i basically dont have a limit with my budget.

More tapered 502?

Until now i always bought Levis 502 in 36x34 and let a tailor taper from the tighs downwards just a little more. I dont want a skinny/ slim look just a fit that doesnt go over my high top sneakers. Unfortunately i moved to another city and dont have a tailor here yet. Because last time i tried 5 tailors (and wasted 3 jeans in the process) before i found one i liked i wanted to ask if there is any other style (and maybe even brands) that could fix my problem? I heard the 531 could be an alternative but they dont seem to be made anymore. Had the 512 in the past but i needed to size up to get my upper leg to have a good fit. So thats not an option either

I really hate going to a tailor for every jeans i purchase and would love to just be done with it.
