Context: I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in history. Undergraduate and graduate school have been a big part of my life. However, for the first three years after high school, I partied a lot. I ignored classes, got horrible grades, and ultimately unenrolled and took a year to find myself. Eventually, I went back to college and finished both degrees. Now, I work in my field and make a good living as a married 34-year-old man.

Dream: over the last year or so, I have had a reoccurring dream about 1. Missing class because I could not find the classroom, or 2. Not being able to enroll in class, causing me to miss class and delay graduation. This dream also always occurs in or around my first college campus, prior to my unenrollment.

Note: I have what some would consider chronic anxiety. I’m a nail biter, have an irrational fear of getting fired at work, and also feel like I’m trying to be a better version of myself. In short, relaxing doesn’t come easy.

Any thoughts or insight to this dream-type would be appreciated.
