Just watched the LTT Short Circuit yesterday. The question is, since Linus seemed to have liked the phone and is basically DBrands lackey, do you think we will start to see more named brand cases soon? Would love one from DBrand or Spigen.
My company is switching from AutoCAD Electrical to Eplan and we aren't allowed to use it over wifi. Reason being is because we have have a sister company overseas that has been using Eplan for years.
Well someone was trying to open a project over wifi and it ended up crashing the whole company's server.
So rule of thumb now is no Eplan over wifi.
Has anyone experienced this before? Seems very far fetched to me that something like Eplan could crash a server like that.
My dad held salary positions my entire life, and I've held three so far. This third one has me thinking maybe I got the wrong idea of what salary really is compared to hourly.
I remember when I finally went on a salary. It was a breath of fresh air. I didn't have to punch a clock anymore. I could go to doctors appointments and family emergencies and take kids to the doctor and wouldn't have to worry about my pay.
The job I have now has me rethinking if I have a misunderstanding of it.
I'm salary, but have to clock in and out, and have to have an excuse for any day unfulfilled. Which means if I didn't work a full 8.
Last week I worked 7.25 hours one day. But over the next two days I made it up. Which again, I've never had to do being on salary, but we are busy so I have the effort.
Well I guess I still needed to have an excuse for that shorter day. Even though I ended up working the full 40 that week. It doesn't matter. They need to know why I didn't work my full scheduled hours.
The only benefit I can see that I get are 4 floating holidays to use and 4 hours is considered a full day so if I have a doctor's appointment or something I'm fine.
And that's all fine. But if, let's say my kid can't find his shoes and it causes me to be late and I end up working 7 hours that day. I have to have some sort of excuse for that.
Idk why, but it aggravated me to the point I wanted to go home. I was late. I didn't have an excuse. But I made up the time to make sure I was at 40 by the end of the week. But they still wanted some sort of comment put into the portal.
Oh and one day I clocked out 1 minute early. 1 minute. But it was at the minute where it rounded down. So it rounded me down to 7.45 hours for the day, instead of 8. And I had to clock back in and back out to make it add up to 8 hours or they would've flagged me for it.
Am I overreacting or am I valid for wanting to look elsewhere? I've never had to deal with this as a salary before.

Just noticed it today. When I'm watching something on YouTube or another app, and I adjust the volume, the screen changes color. And then when the volume slider bar goes away it reverts back to normal.
Also, when in PIP mode, like if I have the video minimized, it does the same thing. When I go back to full screen, it goes back to normal.
Anyone else have this issue?

Also, coming from an S26, is there a better way to make app folders work, or is this just how it is? I can make a new folder in the app screen, but can't move the folder to the home screen.

But to make a folder on the home screen just takes longer.

We recently adopted a cat from the neighbors. He's been really sweet and cuddly for the few weeks he has been here until today.
He's around 5. And today he already attacked my 5yo daughter and my wife. He has been twitchy and on high alert. We are all afraid to even walk around the house. The kids are super scared of him. What could've cause this?
I know both times he attacked, my kids were playing. Rough housing. First was my two daughters wrestling on the bed and when he got my wife she was tickling my son and tossing him around on the bed. He just ran up and scratched the heck out of her leg. My 5yo is all scratched up and bit all over her body.
He's sitting on our bed right now but he's super twitchy. Like I just scratched my head and je jerked around scared.
Not sure what to do right now.
Daughter said she got bit by a spider. We are in the west side of central Florida. Could this have been a wolf spider? Got her in her sleep.
