Note:
This is purely based on my personal experience. I’m sharing both the good and bad points so that anyone planning Srivani Darshan can be better prepared.

I visited Tirumala for Srivani Darshan on 21 August-advance booking.
I chose this especially for my mother and was a little bit excited, as I stayed in Tirumala after almost 10 years. I usually opt for the ₹300 darshan and stay in Tirupati, so this was a different experience for me.

**Please don’t miss Point 3**

1. Reaching Tirumala and getting to the accommodation counter:

I reached Tirumala around 6:45 AM by AC bus. There are two main bus stands:

a. Balaji Bus Stand – closer to the CRO office, ARP counters and guest houses like Panchajanyam.
b.Rambageecha Bus Stand – closer to the temple.

If you need to get down at cro office, ask the AC bus driver to stop near the CRO office. Most buses briefly stop there. Also, AC buses to Tirupati generally leave from Rambageecha, not Balaji Bus Stand.

At the CRO building, don’t enter the main building. Look for the green board to your left saying “Way to CRO Office – General Accommodations.” It is a little steep road, especially if you have luggage, but it is a shortcut. Turn right when you reach the road, and you will find the help desk and ARP counters. Walk till there and to your left you can find ARP counters. Inside, turn to your left and there is a separate counter for Srivani accommodation. The Sevaks there will check your letter and guide you to counter no.4

2. Accommodation process:
   After submitting the accommodation receipt and paying the refundable deposit, they give you another slip containing your room details.

3. ***VERY IMPORTANT ***– Check the receipt before leaving the counter.

Please check the name, date and room details carefully.

In my case, I was accidentally given another pilgrim’s receipt, while mine went to someone else. Since the print is small and everyone is usually in a hurry, neither of us noticed.
This created problems during check-in and checkout and even affected my refund. It also meant walking back and forth between the guest house and ARP counter, which is tiring.

Fortunately, after checkout I happened to pass the ARP counter again. The same staff member recognised me, checked what had happened, admitted that the mistake was from their side and personally transferred the refund to me through PhonePe. I genuinely appreciated the way he handled it.
So please check your receipt immediately.

4. Panchajanyam accommodation:
   I was allotted a non-AC room in Panchajanyam. I initially wondered whether this happened because of the receipt mix-up, but the ARP staff told me that Srivani donor accommodation is generally non-AC and upgrades may not be available.

The non-AC part itself was not my problem. It was only for one night.
The condition of the room disappointed me more:
- Iron cots and unclean bedding
- Infested with cockroaches crawling over baggage.
- Dirty drinking glass
- No clean drinking water available in the room
- Poor mirror and weak water flow from the wash basin
- Geyser initially appeared not to work

The housekeeping staff didn’t help me. Later I realised that apart from the normal geyser switch, there was another main switch that also had to be turned on (outside the room), but it was already late after the darshan.

The bathroom itself was reasonably clean.

**Carry your own bedsheet, drinking water and, if needed, a small mirror.

You’ll get drinking water in glass-bottles in shops. Get it to room and return them while leaving which is again refunded.

5. One unpleasant part was the response from a staff member at the Panchajanyam counter. I politely asked whether AC rooms were available for Srivani pilgrims, and his response was along the lines of, “There are around 800 Srivani tickets. What are you to get an AC room?” accompanied by a smirk.
   That was unnecessary. A simple “AC rooms are not available under this category” would have been enough.

I remember staying in a much better TTD guest house around 10 years ago with wooden cots, chairs, AC and a separate dressing area, although I don’t clearly remember whether it was in Tirupati or Tirumala. Even my friend who visited this room was surprised and said they had received better AC accommodation on a previous ₹300 darshan trip.

My mother even suggested returning to Tirupati and taking a private hotel, but I didn’t want us to become tired or risk getting late for darshan.

Thankfully, I decided not to let the room spoil the whole experience. Freshened up, rested for a while and moved on.

6. Transport in Tirumala:
   I discovered that Rapido bikes/cabs operate in Tirumala. We managed to get one on time, which was lucky.
   Lucky because Rapido drivers told us that they are sometimes stopped by jeep operators or police and may not be allowed to reach certain guest houses, resulting in cancellations.

If you have your own vehicle, things are much easier. Otherwise, you can walk to the main road and usually find jeeps or cars. Expect higher fares. My Rapido rides were around ₹200 each, while local jeeps/cars may quote more or sometimes refuse short trips.

7. Entering for Srivani Darshan:
   We reached VQC-1 around 3:30 PM.
   Phones have to be deposited there and collected from the same VQC-1 location after darshan, unlike my earlier experience with the ₹300 ticket.

There is also a footwear counter. They now give a bag with a QR code and a receipt. Keep both the phone and footwear receipts safely.
I carried only a small backpack containing a steel water bottle, IDs, purse and mudupu.

8. Important for women:
   Women were being strictly asked to tie their hair. I saw a few people with open hair being stopped and allowed forward only after tying it.
   This was checked again at later checkpoints.
   Carry a scrunchie or hair tie.

9. Waiting compartment was extremely hot:
   We entered the compartment around 3:50 PM, and the heat was difficult to tolerate.
   There were only a few fans, and the airflow did not reach everyone properly. Several senior citizens were visibly uncomfortable. People requested the staff to adjust the fans, but apparently the swing mechanism was not working.
   What surprised me was seeing decorative yellow ring lights on the ceiling while basic ventilation was inadequate.

I understand that TTD handles enormous crowds every day, which is not easy. But basic ventilation in waiting areas should be a priority.

I was completely drenched in sweat. My sunscreen mixed with the sweat and entered my eyes, causing severe irritation. By the next morning, my eyes were swollen, and I later developed an eye infection.
I had also forgotten tissues/handkerchiefs and ended up wiping sweat using my saree.

Please carry tissues or a handkerchief.

10. Darshan:
    The doors opened exactly at 4:30 PM, and the movement was organised initially.
    Things were quite good until Bangaru Vakili. I had read Reddit posts saying Srivani pilgrims generally don’t push much, but unfortunately pushing started there. I had to keep stopping and holding my mother carefully.

We were roughly among the last 50–60 people, and the crowd was not even very heavy that day. Still, people started pushing after the Dwajasthambam. A proper single-line system would have made the experience much better.

There is also a narrow entrance with a fairly big step, so please be careful if you are accompanying elderly people.

The actual darshan was close and beautiful. We received harathi and a banana as well.
Some people had told me Srivani darshan gives around five minutes to get a glimpse of the idol, but I definitely did not get that long, probably because people kept moving and pushing. The crowd behaved quite differently. Still, I was satisfied with how close the darshan itself was.

11. My biggest issue during darshan:
    Immediately after darshan, some Sevaks were physically pushing people to move forward even when the crowd behind us was not particularly heavy.

I had to hold my mother continuously because I was worried she could lose balance. I had previously read a Reddit post about someone falling because of this, and after experiencing the pushing myself, I understood how that could happen.
At one point, I had to firmly ask them not to push us and tell them that I was accompanying an elderly person.
This was probably the part I disliked the most.

Moving people quickly is understandable, but physically pushing elderly pilgrims when there is enough space should be avoided.
Interestingly, I have never experienced this during my ₹300 darshans. Staff usually ask people to move without physically pushing them.

Overall:
The actual darshan of Lord Venkateswara was good and close, and some staff members especially the ARP person who resolved my refund issue were genuinely patient and helpful.
The auto people and sevaks are very helpful and nice.

But the accommodation quality, receipt mix-up, transport issues, poor ventilation and unnecessary pushing left me with mixed feelings.

There would be 20/100 people who were unpleasant and make sure it doesn’t affect you.

Would I choose Srivani Darshan again?
At the moment, probably not. I may change my mind in the future, but based on this experience, I personally found my previous ₹300 darshan trips more comfortable overall.

Or I don’t mind a peaceful meditation outside the temple even if I don’t get a chance to witness the idol. It gives me more positive energy.

Hopefully, this helps someone planning their first Srivani Darshan.

I have few questions. Some might sound silly. Please bear with me and help.

1. Where is sannidhanam office? Is it different from cro office?

2. Do we get Accommodation in goutami house if we ask while submitting accommodation receipt? Is goutami stay far from temple?

3. Is sanitizer allowed in tirumala? (Iike dettol small bottle) as it is in plastic? Or do they ask us to throw at alipiri checkpoint? Also, can we take sanitizer inside temple in the handbag or small bag?

4. Do the accommodation rooms have mirrors? 1000 rupees.

Trying my luck here to get some more info as I tried and got limited info in other forums and no response on Tirumala insta pages.

Same as above. Context ela cheppalo ardam kavatledu but I will try to explain. Stress or pressure coz of any situation or factors, irrespective of gender, andariki untundi. But emadya oka person ni chusa, constant family pressure, work pressure, financial pressures, valla intlo veedni entha savgottalo emotionally antha torture pedtaru.. including relatives, yet he took total family responsibility.

Bayata prapancham lo chala mandi abbailni chustu untam kada.. nenu chusina vallo na friends lo andariki problems unna baney nettukostunnaru kinda mida padi or atleast happy gane unnaru.

I’m confused if this particular person is not smart enough to handle the things or andarni satisfy cheseyali anukuni trauma lo untunnada? Leda usually males andaru maximum stress tho suffocate autu untara? Bayataki chepparu, teliyada? Or is he suffering from some severe psychological stress aa? At the end of the day, problems ki solution vetukovali kada evarina… when we know suffering is inevitable annapudu.
