7/5/26

Speed run visit today. Arrived around 1:45, left around 4:45. There was a line at the gate to get in but it appeared to be large families/groups having issues with their tickets.

Once we got in, we beelined for Copperhead.

Ride 1: Copperhead. Waited 30 minutes, which was the posted wait time. Running 1 train. This was my 2nd time riding, it was even better than the first. They left me a little room in my lap bar this time so even though I sat in the middle, I got a ton of hang time. 9/10

Ride 2: Flying Cobras. Walk on. My 3rd time riding. I favor the back row. Sat in row 13 I think, the first row in the green car. Great as usual. Even better without having to wait! 😊 8/10 just because it's really whippy.

Ride 3: Do Si Do. Walk on. Not a coaster, but I like things that spin so figured why not as it was right beside Cobras. It went faster and higher than what it looks like! Pretty enjoyable, but the seats were so hot it was uncomfortable to sit on. 6/10 for burnt buns.

Ride 4: Afterburn. Waited 6 minutes, posted wait time was 4 minutes. Running 1 train. We all already know, best ride in the park. 100/10 no notes just perfection. The zero G roll is my favorite inversion on this ride.

Ride 5: Fury. Waited 5 minutes, posted wait time was 15. Running 3 trains. Got stung by a wasp in the station while loading. :(. Had a pretty significant gray out at the middle/bottom of the first drop, but we were speeding trying to beat the rain so I was tired and definitely over-hot and under-hydrated. After the first drop it was great. Again they left me a little room under my lap bar so I caught some pretty significant airtime. Right as we got on our train the park announced they were closing queue lines because of a storm nearby, so perfect timing. 9/10 because of the wasp lol

Trip Report 7/2 (best trip yet)

Arrived around 1:30/2:00. Parking was a breeze with the prestige pass as usual. Parking lot not crowded at all. No lines at the gates. It was HOT. A handheld fan is a must. It got me through standing in the stations. Got some water between each ride, and sat inside a couple of the restaurants to cool down when it started feeling really uncomfortable.

First ride: Hurler. Running 1 train, had to wait 1 ride cycle to get on. Rode closer to the back this time and it was definitely a little rougher than in the front, but got a little more airtime which is something I am still learning to like. 7/10 for jostling me around but still a great ride that is very enjoyable.

Next: Carolina Cyclone. Running 1 train. Walk on! Sat in the middle, row 7-9 is ideal for the least amount of head banging. 8/10 one of my favorites!

Next: Flying Cobras. Walk on! Rode in the middle this time, I got the back last time and the middle was definitely better. Ride ops were moving pretty fast compared to last time! 9/10, love love the backwards part!!

Next: Afterburn. Running 1 train. Had to wait 1 ride cycle. Ride ops were a little slow, but it seemed like they were switching their positions around. Rode twice, had to walk around the station but the 2nd ride was a walk on. 100/10 best ride in the park easily just the best thing ever

Next: Copperhead. Running 1 train. First time riding this one after chickening out last trip. The line was super long and the app said a 1 hour 20 minute wait. I used my one fast lane from my prestige pass for this one. I rode in row 8. The roll out of the station was CRAZY. I did not expect to come out of my seat as much as I did. Not any body part was touching the seat, I was just hanging from the lap bar by my legs. The launches were very smooth and the hang time was very enjoyable. The lap bar was super comfortable too. 10/10, copperhead now takes the #2 spot on my ranked list, bumping Cyclone down a spot.

Next: Vortex. First time ride! Running 1 train. Had to wait 1 ride cycle. Very slow to load/unload. It was SO uncomfortable. The ride was really short, and really rough. I rode in row 3. It made my hips hurt. I also grayed out for a second during the first loop. Overall it felt like the ride was trying to fold me in half. 3/10, uncomfortable.

Next: Tried to go to Thunder Striker, but it was closed. There was a ride operator standing there and he said it was done for the day.

Last ride of the day: Fury. First time ride! Walk on. Running 2 or 3 trains, we were on and off so fast I couldn't really tell. Rode in row 4 I think. The lap bar was really comfortable. The lift hill was really steep, but it was pretty fast going up. It caught me off guard when we got close to the top and it sped up. I also did not expect to come completely out of my seat on the first drop. Overall the ride was awesome. It was so smooth. I expected the 95 miles per hour to feel a lot more intense but it wasn't that bad! 10/10 would ride again. However, I am glad as someone new to roller coasters, that I waited until I was fully ready to ride it.

Charging issues with Z Flip 7..?

Half the time I plug my phone in, it does the little noise like it's charging, then stops, then does the noise, then stops until I unplug it and plug it back in. Or if I accidentally bump the cord it stops charging. I have tried multiple chargers, it happens regardless of if I'm in the car or in the house. It even does it sometimes with a wireless charger. I just got this phone in February. Anyone else have this trouble?

6/20/26

Showed up to the park at about 2:00. Had no trouble getting in, though the people at the gate had no idea how to direct me to the preferred parking, (my first time there using my new prestige pass), so i accidentally drove all the way around and had to pull back through. Once I found the preferred parking, it was all good. It was warm but not hot, the sun stayed up behind the clouds for a good portion of the day.

Started out with Kiddy Hawk. I feel like it wasnt really as rough as everyone says it is. I sat in the 2nd to last car. Waited about 10 minutes in line. I'd give it like a 4/10, just for funsies.

Next was Snoopy's Racing Railway. Waited about 30 minutes for this one. Sat in the middleish more toward the back. I was pretty surprised, it was faster than I thought a family coaster would be. I enjoyed it. 5/10.

Hurler: wait time said 45 minutes on the app, we really waited 10. Ops were very efficient. Sat in the 2nd row. It didnt feel as rough as the last time when I rode near the back. Overall a solid ride for me. 7/10

Carolina Cyclone: wait time said 30 minutes on the app. We walked on, and rode twice in row 9. My friend banged her ear because she didnt keep her head back. The double corkscrew is *chef's kiss*. 9/10.

Flying cobras: wait time said 45 minutes, we waited an hour, but the Waterpark had also just closed so the line got long fast. Sat in the 2nd to last row. My biggest complaint about this ride is the restraints were pretty uncomfortable, but i see why they are the way they are because the cobra roll is pretty rough. Definitely would have banged my head up pretty bad if it was the standard over the shoulders. Going backwards was way better than going frontwards. 8/10

Hurler (again): wait time said 50 minutes, we waited 15. Rode in row 5, a little rougher but still great. 7/10.

Afterburn was closed, but it would have been 10/10 of course.

Overall trip I'd give a 7/10, purely because afterburn was closed. I feel like wait times were great for a Saturday afternoon.

Update to my post from a few days ago. I found a bra that fits! And on sale :)

I posted here a few days ago because I've been wearing a 38D for a while but dealing with neck and shoulder pain. The size calculator on this sub told me I should be wearing a 38G or a 38H. I went to the store looking and the Gs and Hs just looked huge, so I tried on a DD and even it felt huge. Well turns out I have a friend of a friend who works at Lane Bryant, so I went there yesterday. They measured me at a 38G also, and they brought me a ton of bras to try on. The G was so big I didnt even touch the cups at all. So they gradually sized me down, checking each time and my perfect fit was a 38DD balconette bra. I've always worn racerback bras because my straps fall down all the time but with this one, the straps stay up on their own. AND they dont hurt my shoulders. I am happy I finally found something that fits and isn't painful to wear. And the store was having a huge sale so I got it for $10 off the clearance rack. :)

Question about Copperhead Strike

Okay so.. kinda embarrassing, but I chickened out trying to ride Copperhead today after waiting in line for an hour. I was all but in the seat and ended up leaving the ride before they buckled me in. 😮‍💨

Here's why: i do not like the "airtime". That feeling in my stomach is terrible. While watching in the line today I see that the ride slows down in the loops which scared me because I just really dont like the feeling of the "airtime".

The question: after I got home, I was reading that Copperhead is designed to have "hangtime" and that is different than "airtime".

Afterburn and Carolina Cyclone are my favorite rides in the park. I rode Hurler once and hated it because the whole time it was that feeling in my stomach. Can someone who has ridden these rides tell me if "airtime" and "hangtime" is actually different, and if based on my enjoyment of Afterburn and Cyclone, if Copperhead is something I might like?

Weather question

At what point does carowinds close for weather? I have a ticket for tomorrow, but I see rain in the forecast so I'm nervous about my ticket getting wasted.

ISO: 38G or 38H

I unfortunately can't spend more than about $20 or $30. Ive been wearing a 38D for a while and I am having terrible shoulder and neck pain. I was referred to this sub by the "a bra that fits" sub.

I've gone from a B cup to a D cup over the last couple years, but I am struggling now with neck and shoulder pain.

So I am really confused here... 2 years ago I was wearing a 32B. But over the past couple of years ive gained weight so im currently In a 38D. A C is too tight and I spill out the top. But the D feels too loose. I have to wear racerback bras because if I dont the straps fall down and im constantly reaching under my shirt to pull my straps up. The size calculator in this sub recommended a 38G/38H, but I tried on a 38DD at the store earlier and the cups were so loose that when I bent over, my boobs fell out of the top of the cups. I ended up just buying another 38D bra, because I needed one. I'm just at a loss here. I need something that fits and doesn't hurt my shoulders :(

I cant figure out how to make photos a link.

Bird trapped in my chimney

I live in a 125 year old house that has a fireplace that was decommissioned something over 30 years ago. There is a glass screen over the fireplace so it's not just open, but I guess the actual chimney part that goes down into the fireplace is open, or there's some kind of opening there. I've been hearing movement in there tonight and when I went to investigate i could hear a bird chirping in there. I dont know what to do. I cant open the screen because I'm worried if I do a bird will be loose in my house but I dont want it to die in there 😭😭😭 genuinely i domt know what to do.

I'm just tired and angry.

He has hurt me (emotionally) over and over again and I feel like I'm being strung alone and led on. I'm ready to make some life moves and he is twiddling his thumbs. Every time I start feeling doubts and feeling that I should break up with him, I start seeing all the signs that I asked for years ago when I was asking the universe for signs that he was the one for me. So I feel like the universe is saying "just wait a little longer" but how long am I supposed to wait?? I'm angry, I'm tired, I'm sad.. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I refuse to give him an ultimatum. I just want him to start making these moves we have been talking about for months.

Hi, I got a colposcopy with a biopsy on March 13th (6 weeks ago). They took 2 biopsies. Healing went fine and everything is back to normal except ever since the colposcopy, I get a really sharp stinging pain that shoots through my clit and down the left side (it feels like it is underneath my labia) when I have an orgasm. It goes away really quickly and I dont feel it any other time. Literally only when I have an orgasm. I asked the doctor and they brushed it off and basically told me that I must be imagining things. Has anyone ever heard of this before? Is this going to be my new normal?
