Part 2: I posted a 3D case clip the other day and it wasn't clear, so here's how it works
I posted a clip here a couple of days ago of a Spider-Man 2 game case opening in 3D, and judging by the comments, I didn't explain it well. Here's a clearer look.
It's basically a photo, just not flat. You take two photos of your case, and the app turns them into a 3D version you can turn over and open, so you see the back, the spine, and the inside too. A few people read it as digital replacing physical, which isn't the idea. The real case stays on the shelf, and you need yours to make one. It's just photos.
The appeal for them is keeping track of what they own and seeing everything without pulling out each case, marking what they've finished, and checking the gallery for rare editions other people post.
This clip shows the whole thing: photographing a real case, opening it in the app, and putting the case back. And the cool thing is sharing it in the public gallery where you can see other people's posts, all anonymous!
It's a hobby project, and I'm trying it out with a small group on TestFlight. If you want to try it, let me know. Honest feedback welcome, good or bad.
