I was able to calculate the stitches needed to create a small outfit by transforming the measurements of a model that I usually used with a thicker yarn.
I mathematically calculated the proportions of the mesh numbers of the respective samples.
I managed to calculate the stitches needed to create a small outfit by transforming the measurements of a pattern that I usually used with a thicker cotton yarn suitable for needles no. 4, but I wanted to use an Egyptian Cotton (usually used for crochet no. 2.5) and worked with the LK150 knitting machine. I'm happy to have obtained a very fresh, thin fabric in pure Scottish cotton no. 5. Have you tried using the very thin Egyptian Cotton no. 5 Cable Mako on the knitting machine? Wrong cotton yarn? 4 strands is too much for this scorching heat! What could I do? I divided the 4 strands into two balls of 2 strands each. Now the cotton yarn is perfect!!! Let's try it right away!
I made a small sample: a light summer fresh cloth, to be worked with half the tension of the carriage of the LK150 knitting machine.

Women's and baby girls' shorts made with the LK150 SILVER REED knitting machine in #5 Egyptian MAKO CABLE cotton.
In this heat, I wanted to create lightweight, cool garments, and I didn't want to use the usual 4-ply cotton that's suitable for size 3.5 or 4 needles!
I decided to try the very fine #5 MAKO CABLE 2-ply cotton (the kind typically used for crochet doilies and lace with size 2 or 2.5 needles) to create warm-weather garments with my new LK150 knitting machine.
After several tests, I'm really satisfied and I think I'll only knit with #5 cotton this summer, which is much more suitable for tank tops and shorts for both adults and children.

I'd like to know if others have machine-knitted and have notes and calculations on the number of stitches and rows needed, so that other enthusiasts can use the projects and try making identical or modified ones.

Con questo caldo, volevo creare capi leggeri e freschi, e non volevo usare il solito cotone a 4 capi adatto a ferri da maglia di misura 3,5 o 4!
Ho deciso di provare il finissimo cotone a 2 capi n. 5 MAKO CABLE (quello che si usa solitamente per centrini e pizzi all'uncinetto e con ferri n.2 o 2.5) per creare capi adatti al caldo con la mia nuova macchina per maglieria LK150.
Dopo diverse prove, sono rimasta davvero soddisfatta e penso che in estate lavorerò a maglia solo con cotone n. 5, che è molto più adatto per canotte e pantaloncini sia per adulti che per bambini.
