Credit Karma alerted me to someone opening lines of credit and credit cards in my name at 3 institutions - looking for advice on what I have to do.

Hi everyone,

2 days ago, Credit Karma flagged me with a bunch of alerts asking if I had opened a line of credit and credit card with BMO, and if I had requested inquiries for similar accounts with RBC and CIBC.

I followed their advice and contacted Equifax and Transunion and have filed a dispute with transunion, as well as putting out alerts on any future inquiries.

Is there anything else that should be done? I walked over to my local BMO asking if they had any new accounts for me, and they said they did not have any open accounts when I showed them my ID - but my credit reports indicate the 10,000 BMO line of credit is a bit over balance already.

I don't want to get screwed for not addressing anything soon enough. Is there anyone else who should be contacted? My credit score dropped from 873 to 832 from all this, which is probably the least of it. Someone seems to have my info and is taking out credit anywhere and everywhere. There is an address in Brampton, ON that was added to my credit reports - maybe it is them, maybe it is the address of some other sap who isn't the culprit. Is there a specific authority I contact with this information?

Any advice means a lot to me.

EDIT - thanks to everyone who chimed in. I went back to BMO with my credit union reports and they found the line of credit - the phone number, address, and email were not mine. Not entirely sure why they didn't see it the first time, might have been the fact that only one of my middle names appears on my credit file? Filing with the police, then going back to the banks with the police report (BMO said an active report would help move things along). With the all the info that that showed up on the credit report, I'm hoping they might catch the POS.

I have patches on each side of my mouth that prevent my beard and mustache from connecting. I used to be an anxiety plucker and suspect they might be a result of that. I am wondering if minox might be effective for someone looking to fill in these sorts of gaps.

Any advice/experience is appreciated.

Unless I get an absolutely spicy site for Chichen Itza, I never find rainforests worth keeping. Forests at least have appeal and decent production output, but I cant say I've ever regretted stripping my empire of rainforests - the early boost always seems to outweigh whatever it is you do with them late game.

What do other people think?

Fairly new to living on my own (took me till my 30s to get my own place). One skill I am learning is sale hunting and loading up my freezer. Without sales, most decent quality cuts of meat are too expensive to justify. I am wondering if there is a general guideline for when the price per kg of chicken and other meats becomes so good it is worth stockpiling.

Edit - totally forgot to mention im in the greater Toronto area of Canada.

Looking to make my first Rohan list - it is tempting to take throwing spears because they have a separate cap from bows, but 2 points per model is pretty steep in a game where most wound rolls are in the 5-6+ range at best.

Do experienced Rohan players think that throwing spears earn back their points investment? Also, do they provide support in melee? They are called spears, but they are listed under throwing weapons, which makes me think they dont.

As nice as it is to fight an enemy army list that you have hatred against, it seems extremely niche and either situationally overpowered or completely useless.

My Uruks already chew through most Rohan models without hatred, but then you throw in hatred of man and they just turn them into dog food. Against any non-human army, that rule is completely irrelevant, but against specific armies it is a massive change in the game's mathematics in my favour.

I am starting to think these ultra-specific bonuses against very specific factions/races are like a lottery, where if you are playing against the right enemy you have a massive advantage, but against others, it does nothing.

Curious to know what more experiences players think of rules like hatred and other enemy-specific bonuses as far as balance is concerned.
