Pretty devastated, any advice?
Hey guys, maybe I’m tripping… I know they’re boots to be worn, but I’m pretty sad I scuffed the shit out of my favorite boots I just bought a few months ago….
Any advice? They’re dark forest ostrich.

This is genuinely asinine, a 25 minute drive turns into an hour commute every single fucking morning for me… there’s no rhyme or reason to it aside from accidents and trains.
Last week leaving at the same time every day I got to work early enough to stop and EAT at chick fil a while still arriving on time the first two days of the week… the rest of the week I was 7-30 minutes LATE leaving at the same time or even earlier!!
It’s fucking insane, I’m not sure if my job is going to make a deal of it but I’m honestly okay with quitting over this.
It’s taking years off my life.
I have to go from Glendale to the industrial district downtown Phx.
You guys liked my olive deerskin rough outs from yesterday so I figured I’d post my latest pair! Dark first ostrich from Tecovas are my new favorites!! So bad ass😆.
If I didn’t win a grand playing blackjack the other night I probably wouldn’t have bought them but boy am I glad I did..!
New position where I’m in the office now instead of the machine shop so I can wear some of my other boots worry free!!
Hey! I’m looking at buying a 2013 Tacoma 4x4 and really wanna make sure I cover all my bases… I was thinking about taking it to Camelback Toyota but I’ve had some people advise independent shops for this type of thing instead…
I just wanted to get some more opinions, or recommendations for specific mechanics/techs to request if you have someone you feel is particularly knowledgable!
Thanks so much!
Saw em and thought if these don’t get me laid, I don’t know what will haha! These are definitely my new favorites 😎
I’m looking for the best skillets here in phoenix for breakfast hash’s/skillets!
Hey everyone... not gonna harp too much into my situation but long story short our boss moved on who really made the place and everything is downhill now.
That said, he's a family friend and as I've worked with him the past year I think It's unlikely I'll be pursuing the trade any further especially without working together. So knowing him and working with him as an adult, I feel I can say he's one of the most brilliant people I've ever met.
As it's often said with intelligent people, they lack confidence and/or have a tendency to undervalue themselves... I think he has a tendency to undervalue himself...
I plan on getting more information from him to pretty much post his resume and get an appraisal from you guys because shockingly I found out he doesn't even really talk to anyone else in the trade for comparison... He's a very principled person and I feel that's the reason he's put himself in less than desirable positions in certain aspects of life..
TL:DR What would you guys say someone with 35-40 years of machining experience, hypothetically can do just about anything manually as well as a capable CNC/programmer be in terms of salary ranges?
I may be naive in some ways or maybe the trade is just vastly undervalued, but I can't believe someone with his expertise, someone that worked on the B1 bomber in the 90s shouldn't be making minimum 150k a year in 2026 if not substantially more.
What do you guys think?
Edit PHOENIX ARIZONA
Hi everybody! Unfortunately my boss moved on from the current company I'm at and he really held the company together...
With that said, I'm having to reconsider my options as well as my mentor who is one of the most brilliant people I've ever met... I'm a 1 year apprentice at this point but he's been machining for over 40 years.
I figured I'd ask around on here and see if anyone owns or knows of any shops that would really value someone with my or his skillset..
Right now we're doing everything manually which is the extent of my personal experience, however my mentor can do anything under the sun including CNC...
I'd love to elaborate on my/his experience for anyone interested but I don't want my post to get taken down.
Thanks for any suggestions!
Hi, I'm a first time home buyer getting into my grandmas house buying as is... I paid an inspector to come out who went above and beyond for me. I felt he was meticulous and thorough however one of his exclusions was sewer scopes so he recommended a plumber to me. The plumber I'm not entirely sure I can say I feel the same about however...
I explained my situation over the phone and the guy came out, within 10 minutes I was told he couldn't scope because there was too much build up so a week later I had him come out to jet out the lines and complete the inspection. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend and figured there wasn't much for me to really witness and I'd get everything I need in a report...
Well that was a mistake I've learned from. I get a text from the guy just telling me "everything looks good"... Which I mean is great if it's true don't get me wrong, but as someone not in this trade buying their home for the first time I was A.) expecting someone to explain to me what they look for, what's good & bad, common concerns, locate my cleanout, and B.) I figured pictures if not video footage would be standard and not even necessary to ask for in this day n age... Am I wrong?
I never got a report, I had to ask him if he located my main cleanout which I'm under the impression you guys have a sort of metal detector to track the scope when going through the pipe etc, and I was told "As far as I can tell you don't have one"... I was also told the first day he came out verbally that I'd need to add a cleanout to the kitchen because of the window above the sink which made scoping it inaccessible, however I frustratingly forgot to have that done with all the information I was already getting from the other inspector that was out and I expected a report to reference or him to mention it again before I had him come out to re-inspect, but I guess I have to be partially accountable there... Still I mean If the shoe were on the other foot I would've followed up with my client "Hey you said you wanted me to be thorough but until we add that access to the kitchen sink I can't scope that for you, did you want me to complete that service for you?" or give me a report stating what was necessary to complete the work I inquired about to reference before he came out again.
Am I crazy or is this pretty a pretty subpar experience? Like I don't wanna talk out of my lane if it really is this straight forward but it's also like, how do I know this guy even did anything at this point...? He could've just pulled up to my house, jerked off and left as far as I can fuckin tell...
I'm thinking about calling back up and asking for them to come back out and locate my cleanout and walk me through everything...
Paid this guy 600 bucks fwiw....
Im in the market, saved my ass off at 24 and am buying cash... I've been looking at 2021s but Ideally I'd like to spend 20k I can find a 2013-2015 I like... If not then I feel it'd be foolish to get a 2013-15 for those price points when for 5k more i can get one almost 10 years newer...
Hey! Got a first date and she likes to dance... I've wanted to learn for a while now but never have had a partner, so I figure I'm gonna try to strike while the irons hot....
I'm definitely putting myself out there with this one so any recommendations for a first timer would be great!
Hey, I've never gone dancing before but I've got a date who's down and figure I've gotta learn somehow. I'm 24 and looking for some good spots to take her that'll take it easy on me!
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Hey I’ve been trying to get into some new friend groups! I had some success at Harvey’s Wineburger the other day and had a pretty good time…
