Hey all,
Does anyone use a tincture to add to mocktails?
Going alcohol free for a bit but still want a little something.
Any recommendations?
Love it!
Picked up yesterday, quickly put 15 road miles on, had lunch, then another 15 of gravel!
What a bike! The front shock provides a ton of confidence on the decent.
Stock tires are getting the job done, set up tubeless.
Absolutely awesome bike
Leaving Spruce Knob Lake the park sign indicates 2 kinds of roads, but they were both gravel roads.
I assumed Country would be a narrow paved road & the fire road more gravel.
Whats the difference?
Lots of folks with multiple antennas driving around. Heard some chatter on gmrs but nobody replied back. Didn't bring the duel bander but I am pretty sure a lot of you folks are running cb.
Is there a favored channel or frequency?
Hiking yesterday 7/29 we noticed along many of the wet muddy areas there appeared to be oil slicks in the mud.
Was that oil?
Where is it coming from?
The photo attached is from the Dobbins Grade trail on 7/29, and is a poor picture of what I am talking about.
Reopened and a cute article on the new owner
Ok, so I hate setting up the air compressor for tubeless setup or maintenance. Tried one of these out and love it. Took seconds to set up 2 new tubeless tires, changed everything!
Has anyone else used one?
Exuma Grocery has an online order system and seriously has the most and best selection by far. Prices though.... you all weren't joking.
Bell peppers $6.99, bread $12+ .
Smittys, second best but much limited in selection
Shop Rite, decent selection and better pricing then Smittys but once you go to Exuma you won't want to go anywhere else.
Beer is $6 @ most bars, $2~ as singles. Most places sell cases for $51'sh
Rum, $15 a bottle
Ok, read the blog post below and WHAT?
Any thoughts on this?
Last week's 200k, I was pumped! Had researched all my stops, ready to carry extra water, all the things. I couldn't eat.
Stopped at mile 38, ate a cliff bar and half a bagel, drank an iced tea. After that had some gummy candy until mile 55, then a pb&j & a coke. Had 1 more cliff bar the rest of the ride. I did stop at a drug store around mile 80 and grabbed a pedialyte, an electrolyte drink and that helped. I was definitely drinking a ton of water but my tummy said a hard no to food. Wasn't a big performance issue until the last 15 miles. Never bonked, but definitely made some mental miscues.

So how do you refuel?
Carbohydrate tablets? If so which ones?
Sometimes they upset my stomach too.

This isnt a big issue in the winter, but as I age, and it gets warmer, it's a bigger issue.
Staying in Georgetown and am one of those over planers. IF there was need for medical care, where to go?
Urgent Care?
Hospital?
Best pharmacy?
Anything 24 hours?
If my cat wasn't walking all over me I would have broke the list down here, but now I cant get called out for plagiarism.
What do you all think of this list?
Asked in the chevy subs as well with no reply.
I have a 2025 Chevy Equinox regular not EV or Hybrid.
I asked the service guy if I could install a ham or gmrs radio, he said no. The electric system won't allow for it, even strait to the battery. The system cant handle the load.
I emailed chevy, nothing.
Can't find any documents or install advice anywhere.
Thought about putting a Jackery type battery in the back and running off that and charging it via a cigarette outlet.
Thoughts?
