31F dating a 35M for 3 months.

I’m a 31F dating a 35M for 3 months. Few days back, he broke up with me suddenly. At first, he said it was because he had a drug problem, but later admitted he said that because he wanted me to leave first so he wouldn’t be “the bad guy.” He does not have a drug problem. The real issue was that he was struggling with attraction to my body and was hoping id break up with him because of "drugs".

He admitted that early on he was infatuated with me but was hoping I would lose weight and that attraction would develop. He says he loves my personality but physically struggles.

I know I am overweight. He has said I looked thinner in my dating photos, asked if I had always been this way, called me “chunky,” and once took ice cream out of my hand. He said he grew impatient waiting for me to lose weight, even though we have only been together 3 months.

When I pushed for honesty, he shared some specific concerns about my body that were very painful to hear. He says he cares about me and doesn’t want to hurt my confidence, but when i pried more and more he finally admitted when he was going down on me , my FUPA made him feel like he was giving me a BJ and he said during doggy i smelled.I have never had these concerns raised by previous partners, and it has affected my confidence.

He also has a difficult background. He now says he made a mistake, does not want to lose me, and is trying to repair things and signed up for counselling and is trying to work on himself.

I don’t feel fully accepted or emotionally safe, but he ensures me that he will change and become better. he admits he cant live without me. he has been calling me crying, and even when he was breaking up with me he was crying.

when he was breaking up with me, I asked him if he was worried that he might leave, look elsewhere, realize he couldn’t find better, and then come back when it was too late. He said that was exactly how he felt, and he even asked if I would ever consider taking him back in that situation. I told him no.

Would you give someone a chance if they are actively trying to change, or are these fundamental compatibility issues that should not be ignored?

Questioning my relationship after my partner admitted he was hoping I would change-I’m a 31F dating a 35M for 3 months.

I’m a 31F dating a 35M for 3 months. I’m struggling to decide whether this relationship can be repaired or if we are fundamentally incompatible.

He says he loves my personality, values, support, and who I am as a person, but physically struggles. Yesterday, I asked him why, when he was breaking up with me, he lied about doing drugs so that I would leave him. He said he did it to protect my feelings because he didn't want to damage my self-esteem. I actually believed him because I'd been wondering what the real reason was all along. He's worked as a mental health counsellor for 7 years, so I assumed he understood the psychological impact of what he was saying.

I know I am overweight and want to become healthier, but some of his comments have hurt me.

He witnessed domestic violence between his parents, is not close with his family, and has admitted he struggles with anger, resentment, irritability, and emotional regulation. He recently signed up for counselling and is trying to work on himself.

He now says he made a mistake, does not want to lose me, and is trying to repair things. I believe he is a good person and I see his potential.

However, I feel exhausted. I feel like I have become his emotional support system, and I don’t feel fully accepted or emotionally safe, but he ensures me that he will change and become better. he admits he cant live without me. he has been calling me non stop, crying, and even when he was breaking up with me he was crying.

Would you give someone a chance if they are actively trying to change, or are these fundamental compatibility issues that should not be ignored?

former ozempic user switching to reta. dosing help plz

I am a 32-year-old female, 5'4”, and my weight has increased from 187 lb to 207 lb over approximately 3 months.

Was on semaglutide (Ozempic) 2 mg weekly for ~1 year

Initially had strong appetite suppression + reduced “food noise”

After ~1 year, appetite suppression gradually wore off and cravings returned

Recently skipped last Ozempic dose and replaced it with retatrutide 0.25 mg from a sourced supply

Ozempic didnt help and although i took reta a week ago im still having:

  • persistent cravings
  • binge eating episodes
  • “food noise” returned
  • no meaningful appetite suppression

How much should i increase the dose?

32F feeling unattractive after comments from 36M about my weight — overreacting or valid?

I’m 32F, 5’4 and around 200 lbs. I’ve been seeing a 36M who’s also 5’4 and around 140–150 lbs. We were texting and I mentioned I’ve been feeling less horny lately. He jokingly replied something like “I turn you off that much?” and later I brought up that previously I had asked if he thought I was heavy BECAUSE I WAS SITTING ON HIS LAP FOR THE FIRST TIME, and he responded with “idk I haven’t weighed you yet,” which honestly hurt my feelings and made me feel unattractive.

When I told him that comment turned me off and affected my self-esteem, he apologized and said he was joking and didn’t think I was heavy. But then he followed it with: “you are a bit chunky,” “it’s not like you’re obese,” and said because I’ve gone through stress and my dad’s death he wouldn’t be surprised if I gained weight. He also said he still finds me attractive and mentioned he could lift me effortlessly so “that should say a lot.”

Now I genuinely can’t tell if:

  • he was just being socially clueless/blunt,
  • if this is lowkey negging,
  • or if this is normal honesty and I’m overreacting.

Part of me appreciates that he still reassured me and apologized, but another part of me feels like attraction/security got damaged after hearing words like “chunky” and “not obese.”

Would this make you feel weird too, or am I taking it too personally?

TL;DR: Guy I’m seeing made comments about my weight that I can’t tell are honest-but-clueless or subtly disrespectful. I told him a previous joke (“idk I haven’t weighed you yet”) made me feel unattractive after I asked if I was heavy sitting on his lap. He apologized and reassured me he’s attracted to me, but also called me “a bit chunky,” said “it’s not like you’re obese,” and blamed possible weight gain on stress/my dad dying. Now I feel less desired and weirdly turned off too. Would this bother you?
