Anyone else feel bad about wanting to stay in?

It’s a gorgeous evening in NYC tonight. I should want to be out and about, but I just feel like staying home—and I feel bad about it! Anyone else ever deal with this? What do you do to soothe your guilt?

Customer Engineering interview advice needed — role-related knowledge round

I became a GCP-certified data engineer back in 2024, and I know a lot has changed since then. Unfortunately, in my current role, I don’t get to work with many of the “advanced” features on the agentic data cloud, like BigQuery ML, Iceberg lakehouses, governance tools—it’s just been basic BigQuery with dbt and some Airflow.

How deep will I be expected to go in the role-related knowledge round? Will it be enough for me to have a general understanding of the key products/services and how/when to apply them to different uses cases and cost scenarios?

I’m feeling quite anxious and overwhelmed by the breadth of information, and I’d be grateful for any guidance on how best to prepare so I can ace this.

Thank you!

Are foreigners likely to get scammed at skin clinics that don’t post prices publicly?

See title. I’ve heard of this happening. Are there any confirmed cases of it not happening? For example, I don’t see any public pricing for The Heal Dermatology Clinic other than monthly specials posted on their IG. Does this mean I should automatically be skeptical of foreigner pricing there?

JW Marriott Khao Lak vs. Vana Belle Koh Samui

I need help deciding between the two hotels and locations in the title. Both properties are about the same price, with JW Marriott Khao Lak coming in very slightly cheaper.

I am traveling at the beginning of January with two other adults and their three kids, ages 6, 9, and 11.

This will be the first time in my life that I’ll be paying more than $700 USD per night at a resort for myself, so I want to make sure it’s money well spent!

AMRED vs. Relieve skin clinics

I’ll be in Seoul in a few months and would like to visit a non-factory skin clinic. Does anybody have any opinions on AMRED vs. Relieve?

I’m not really sure what I want to do yet, but I know I’m not looking to do anything invasive, I won’t have time for follow-ups, and I prefer as little downtown as possible.

Thank you!

36 hours in Seoul: which treatments should I do?

I will be in Seoul soon for 36 hours. I’m coming from New York City—where everything is crazy expensive—and would like to take advantage of the low prices on high quality treatments.

I’m looking for low downtime treatments that will improve the texture and evenness of my facial skin. Maybe have some flat moles removed, as well. Not looking to do injectables since I’ve never had them and don’t want to start with that in a foreign country.

What would you all recommend in terms of specific treatments and clinics? And how much time should I allocate to this type of thing?

I’d also like to visit an upscale bathhouse for a sechin scrub if time allows. Anyone have recommendations on that?

Thank you!!

Edit: I’m also interested in any treatments for broken capillaries and rosacea.

Or’esh’s Bagel Box pop-up via DashPass—anyone successful?

I heard you can reserve an order from The Bagel Box by Or’esh pop-up this weekend through DashPass. Has anyone had any success doing this? I can’t find it anywhere on the app.
