Bean spaghetti

Soak beans. Boil with soy sauce, bbq spices, salt. Boil a potato. Blend the beans with water and oil. Add potatoes. Boil noodles. Add fridge sauce to sauce. Mix, add noodles. Parsley for topping.

I got asked what fridge sauce was.

Mayo. 3 heaping tbsp

Soy. 1 tbsp

Bbq. 1 tbps

Cayenne

Paprika

Chilli powder. Mild

Salt.

(This time, added mustard, dijon)

Keep in a clean jar in the fridge, use as sauce, dip, spread on bread. Numerous uses.

Don't know how much this one cost, but it was cheaper than the other two

Yummy struggle meal

I wasn't going to post again. Since last one did well. Here's (kind of) Latkas. Cut boiled potatoes, added some spices to water. Graded potatoes after they cooled off. Added some flour, bit more spices, oil, little bit baking soda to make them fluff.

Fresh corn, cucumber. Diced then added dressing (oil, salt pepper, paprika, squeeze lemon juice.)

Egg fried, just salt pepper. Put it together, paprika on top.

(First round of latkas needed more salt, so added. Good)

I calculated, last post cost $4 to make. But used 1/2 veggies 1/3 rice. So ended up two meals, so $2

Used 4 potatoes, got 6 latkas.

I got a bag of 10 'ugly' mini cucumbers, discounted at $2. calculated this cost all cost $1.30? Maybe $1.70? Its hard to calculate because you buy potato by weight .

Styling struggle meal

I'm very glad where I am grocery store sells cheap produce. Mushrooms, sautéed in oil. Rice, added soy sauce, oil spices while boiling. Squish of lemon after.

Sautéed bellbeppers, celery spices (made the mistake of cripsing mushrooms then adding them to the pepper to rehydrate. Removed them and kept cooking).

Origionally going to be strifry, Remembered I had a bun was about to go bad.

Tosted in oil. Fridge sauce. Add everything.

I can usually get a Big reausable bag of produce for $40 which is nothing to sneeze at where I am .

Alberta. Government moving disability to new program. Reevaluation made to stay on old program. Criteria is still not out, moving tens of thousands to an inferior program, is this legal

Alberta. Government split disability into a new program. Adap. Said a re-evaluation had to happen to stay on the old program. Its been known for months, if you didn't reevaluate you would be automatically moved to the different program. Criteria for who would stay still is not out yet. Tens of thousands are being moved to a lesser program on the first (today). Because their assessments were not possible to be done. The government set the criteria for what had to be done, tens of thousands of people were waiting, govrnmt, did not meet it.

Soon-to-be ADAP recipient says program doesn’t incentivize work

Soon-to-be ADAP recipient says program doesn’t incentivize work https://share.google/5hc64UFZVurSExUik

https://www.ctvnews.ca/edmonton/article/this-aish-recipient-did-the-math-he-says-the-new-provincial-program-doesnt-add-up/

Doesn't incentivize to work. It ultra punishes, as well super punishes anyone who stays on aish. As well decentivises people who live with working, able bodied partners, to work less. The entire program absolutely went out the window. That now they're putting peoppe who do work, in a position where They're punished if their partner is on it. And they're not even on aish, or Adap.. as well, theres still no mention (I've seen) that they'll help with daycare. So how are people supposed to attend anything .. the entire program just targeted able bodied, to work less, and families. To not work at all.. They're telling people without disabilities, how much they can work before clawback. Before, having a family amount you could make.. So How is this helping Anyone.

Shot in the dark .

Trying to recreate a pumpkin scent. Main ingredients may be
2-Methylbutanal/2-Methylbutyraldehyde

isovaleraldehyde

Methional

Furfural

Diacetyl

Dimethyl sulfide

Dimethyl trisulfide

Aldehyde c6

Cis-3-Hexenol

I have no idea how to source a majority of these ingredients. Found 5. But it might smell pumpkin-y with the correct doses.

Anyone who makes their own perfumes, id like to see your websites/suggested purchases. Im just starting, and would like to see what some have made. Especially fougère' s.

(Edit: pm in messages. Realizing that would be a lot of people getting mod approval )

List of molecule scents?

I know 1-octen-3-ol is whats supposed to give mushrooms their smell. Are there any other molecules that are a 'favorite ' or should be known that give "This" its scent, as well as non formula name, like Matsutake alcohol is the common name for 1-octen-3-ol.

Want to make a scent of decaying leaves

The deeper not quite rotted but started to decompose smell. Usually after a rain in the fall when the leaves fell. Im looking online, things like patchouli are recommended. I found one post somewhere saying a candle had that smell, but I'd like to make it myself.

Double post, does anyone else have trouble with oakmoss essential oil. The one I got was very bright, fresh, green smell. When I looked online it was supposed to be a deeper smell.
