Progress Update-City on the Edge (HK 2016 election)-Coders still needed
Hi all,
I’m here to share some development updates on City on the Edge: an election set about the Hong Kong 2016 Legco election. Let’s start with the Good:
All the questions and advisors feedback have been written for the DAB, Democratic Party, FTU, Civic Party and LSD-PP ticket, as well as all questions for the Liberal Party. The endings have been written for all six parties as well and while initial release will have the first two parties only, if lucky there may be more.
I’ll be making variables for them next but if anyone doesn’t mind helping a bit, lmk in DMs!
Now for the bad,
Obviously coding a non-us mod is going to be hard and well…we need a svg for the HK map, as the coder for this mod: alleightbits, doesn’t know and neither do I. Moreover we have the issue of the Functional constituencies, which aren’t geographical and are dominated by the establishment. So the options we have are either ignoring them (and thus unfortunately cutting the liberal path entirely) or figuring out a way to code it in (which will be difficult)
Therefore we need more experienced coders to help with this project. If you can help, I’m on the discord as Card0_ and there’s a thread on mod-work-help-board. If you have any questions you can dm me there.
I still hope to get this mod out by this year, and thank you all for your support

reddit.comCity on the Edge: a 2016 Hong Kong election mod
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
The 2016 Hong Kong Legco election promises to be the most politically polarized in history, as the city grapples with the fallout of the 2014 protests and the more recent Mong Kok riots, all while localism continues to rise amidst newer young voters. As Beijing threatens the city more and more with integration efforts and overriding the Basic Law, this election is seen by many as a de-facto referendum on the city’s future despite the limited powers of Legco. No matter who wins out in the end, they will decide the city’s fate as the future of Hong Kong looks more uncertain than ever before.
Hong Kong is different from most other Asian democracies in that while the DAB and the Democratic Party are flagship parties of their respective camps, in reality both the Pro-Beijing and Pro-Democracy camps are divided within, both in terms of ideology and social policy, as well as their attitude towards the city’s autonomy. And with the rise of localist parties for the first time in this election cycle, domestic and foreign observers watch nervously.

The New Sun over Asia: a slightly tweaked LDP-Liberal Japan AAR
They had done it.
They had expected a brutal and long war, and though fighting was intense, the Chinese paper tiger showed itself as the PDTO swept through the Mainland. Meanwhile, the Indian army made quick work of the Pakistanis, and led a liberation of Tibet.
After the end of the war, the ROC government finally returned to the Mainland, an odd choice to some given that even the current leader of Taiwan: Ko Wen-je, wasn't exactly enthused about reclaiming the mainland. The idea had been dead for years, and he was a deep Taiwanese nationalist years ago, but times had changed as Ko pledges to step down for new elections in 2032.
The Japanese now see themselves as the masters of Asia, the LDP dominant forevermore, the opposition parties...relegated to mostly symbolic positions. Whether the CDP, Ishin, the DPP, the SDP or even Reiwa and the JCP, they didn't matter, for the LDP's monopoly has continued.
Yet not all is well, India has broken away under the SADL, and many within the PDTO's ranks, distrustful of Japan even before the GAW, only joining it because it was the lesser evil, now have greater reason to seek greater independence from Tokyo. Whether the organization holds, is up to them.
Across the seas, the US has been reunited by Libertarians emerging within Trump's Republican party, whose chosen successor: Elon Musk, now spearheads the creation of freedom cities and aggressive deregulation, claiming to save the economy at the cost of cutting services. And in Europe, the socialists have risen up, seeking not just a transformation of society, but also revenge for what the Russians did.
It's not a peaceful world, and war looms on the horizon, but the Asia-Pacific probably won't see another war for another generation.
At least we hope.
Novo Europa: A Europunk AAR
Ok so I tried to go with the left, but they kept losing the Eurpean commission vote so each time i failed as a party the choices got less and less until I only got the right-wing populists...and I chose George Simion
yeah I dont know either, just pretend it makes sense

Whoever designed the through the pipes quest shouldn't be allowed to design quests anymore
I jest but the last stage of this quest is absolutely infruiating, they should either make it so theres a checkpoint at the first gate or make it easier to control overall
How would video games develop in the TNO timeline?
I presume the us would obviously be one of the first to pioneer and lead, Japan likely would in most paths it goes down, Germany probably won’t unless maybe in a reformist path and even then they would be a later player. But what about other powers? Italy might but I feel like it would be unlikely, whereas smaller countries within the OFN and CPS might as well. Russia probably won’t even if they win the 2WRW except for some unifiers (ultravisionary Komi, Tomsk, maybe Buryatia)
Can the devs allow other players to help you with the Syndra fight in Echoes of Change
I dont understand, they allow it for other boss fights but when my friends try to help me beat Syndra they can't enter the room
The best argument against anti-Immigration rhetoric, and it’s coming from a Minecraft series
Tfw you vote for a far right anti immigration party
Ik most hkers in the uk tend to vote Lib Dems but the second most popular option seems to be Reform
In rightfully calling out the CCP’s tyranny, some British Hong Kongers vote for a…far right anti immigration party
Not really tankie but kinda adjacent as it gives fuel for the CCP and their supporters to call hk activists in exile far right (I’m aware that more hkers in the uk tend to vote Lib Dem but reform is the second most popular option)
Also holy campism
