Looking for historical relief map

I know it's a message in a bottle and that it will probably not be successful, but who knows? I'm looking for a relief map of Japan in good definition (can zoom in) without legend or texts, with the pre Meiji coastline.

I had maybe the perfect [map](https://maps-for-free.com/) but the coastline is from today with reclaims land (Tokyo Bay or Osaka). There is also a slight error with the water layer (lake Biwa or rivers are slightly misaligned).

Again I know I will probably not find what I am looking for, but I should try.

Thanks.

Lost Boshi Techo

Hi all,

I lost the boshi techo of my 3 year old daughter. I'm a bit sad as it has a lot of info about her and my wife's pregnancy... But I also have a problem as I have to apply to schools and I need to prove that she received her vaccination.

Do you know, by any chance, what to do in this case? All the vaccines were done by the same doctor, should I ask him when I got a new book? With all that can happen in Japan, I presume there is a solution if these kinds of documents are lost or destroyed.

Thanks!

Kyoto tourists in Tokyo

Hi! Foreigner living in Tokyo here. I have questions for people living in Kyoto (I only know one, he is the boss of my wife, suffice to say I don't want to ask him anything...).

I wanted to know if there is a popular destination for school trips in Kyoto schools? Do some kids from Kyoto go to Tokyo (as a lot of our kids visit Kyoto with their school)? More generally is it frequent for people from Kyoto to visit Tokyo? How is the capital perceived in Kyoto? (I know the stereotypes about people but not the city itself).

Bonus question: (can be for Kansai, or even other parts of Japan) how are Greater Tokyo prefectures (Saitama, Kanagawa, Chiba) perceived (population and pref themselves) if perceived at all?

Thanks!

Visiting during hot day with a kid

Hi all! As someone living in Saitama pref I'm used to hot summers but I forgot that Nagoya was the 7th circle of Hell this year when it comes to heat. Still, a month ago I booked Ghibli park tickets for Sunday as my 3 y.o daughter asked for it since spring, but I don't really know what I can do for Saturday and Monday (took a day off) with the heat, and would like to know if locals have some tips.

I will still brave the heat to visit the castle as I didn't come for the last 10 years and want to see if restoration progressed since then, but do you have any recommendations for a visitor? I hesitated with the railway museum but I already went to the Omiya one last weekend and my wife will probably call me a 電車オタク...

Thanks!

Small things that annoy you?

Hi guys! Almost 100hrs now and I really enjoy the game. Aside from the wonderful world, the historical explanations, the stealth gameplay and many other things I like about the game, I'm also fond of all the little things Ubi adds to ease my time, to smooth the experience.

However, there are also little things that bother me again and again. I know it's sometimes not specific to Shadows but to all AC games, but I need to vent about them. And I would like to know if you have more of them.

Here is my personal list (and yes I'm gonna use bulletpoints but, as far as I am concerned, I'm human):

* Who the fuck had the idea to have the screenshot feature linked to L3 and R3??? During combat I am constantly interrupted by photo mode.

* For God sake why can't we instantly retry Yabusame? If I miss one target I have to wait for my horse to cross the end line, I have to listen to a dialog by the questgiver, then talk to him again, wait for his dialog and click 'I'm ready', this is so frustrating when you have to retry 10 times. For Kata we can interrupt a serie and if we fail we retry automatically, why not for Yabusame?

* Talking about Yabusame, Kata or character specific interactions, there should be a way to directly change character while interacting with the activity that wants the other character instead of doing it via the inventory menu, which is really annoying

* Why having an Animus message every time you come back to the game, where you can't open your map for 1 min because you will open the shop?

I am sure there are more, it's not game breaking things, it's just annoying after 100hrs in the game. Do you have other you would like to see change or fix in future AC games?

I will also add two things but that are nitpicking and are only bad for my immersion:

* I know hay stacks are a staple of the franchise, but it's not early 2000 anymore and there are probably ways to reduce their number and having them only in realistic places (like near buildings) and not in the middle of nowhere. There are probably other things you can jump into (they already added lakes, good start)

* I remember loving the fact that in Origins, if you were swimming in the Nile, Ubi would send you a small boat. It's convenient and I like it, but in Shadows it's not rivers really, but sea and the 'water taxi' effect is too obvious. I sometimes just jump in the water in the middle of the night in a place without anyone and 'wait for my cab'. I don't want to stop the mechanic but it should be a bit more subtle, at least having the guy coming at me saying that he wants to help me, it would be better for my immersion than a dude speeding from nowhere before stopping next to me in silence...

Can't sneak anymore

Hi! It seems I have a weird bug. I was fighting a guy on a boat when I fell in the water, since then I am constantly in combat mode with Naoe, meaning I can't crouch or sneak anymore. When I press circle now I always roll. Are you aware of that kind of bug? What can I do? I already tried to change to Yasuke, get on a horse,.change season, reboot the game.... I am stuck...

Finding japanese movies with subs in Tokyo

Hi everyone!

I am gonna have some free time in July and I would love to watch some japanese historical movies as I am in my Edo phase right now. But let's be honest I would prefer to have english subtitles (or French but I have to stop dreaming).

As I want to watch them legally, it seems I am a bit stuck as most japanese movies don't have subs on streaming or online rental services (like if I want to watch Yoji Yamada trilogy, they have no sub on U-Next, YT or Amazon). Do you know where and if I can find DVD or blue rays movies with subs in (Greater) Tokyo? Or should I just give up and order them from abroad?

Thanks!

Audio track disappeared

Hi guys, I'm on mobile and want to check an important documentary O have to show to my students but it is automatically translated into English while it's a French documentary and... We are French. A robotic voiceover in another language on Eichmann trial is a bit weird.

I hope Ai will not automatically transfer while on the computer, but I would like to know how to change the audio track on my phone. The options disappeared on the parameters.

Thanks!

Online access to Italian registers

Hi everyone! So, for some time now, I'm working on my daughter's tree. I'm living outside Europe right now but my side of the tree is going well (I almost got everyone to the 10th generation and multiple branches to the 16th Century) thanks to online registers (mainly French but some Swiss and Austrian ones).

But for my wife it is a bit more difficult, right now I focus on her mother's side as they are Lorrain and it's not too difficult, but her father is of Italian origin and gosh I don't know what to do. In France (or Austria) civil (or church) registers are almost all online and for free on départements, cantons or province websites and (except if your pre-1871 ancestor decided to go to Paris and disappear in the blackhole created by the Commune) it's fairly easy to progress.

But I really struggle to find archives for Italy. Like a lot of Italian immigrants in France, her grandfather came from the North, Sacile, in Udine province (pre 1969) where he was born in 1916. I'm lost, I can't find anything on the municipality level (Sacile), nor the provincial (Udine then Pordenone) and now that they are abolished (since 2017/8) I don't know if the archives are run by the UTI or the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia... On Antenati portal there are no documents after 1911, and I can't even find registers specific to Sacile (except from the Napoléon era).

So, yeah, I'm stuck. Do you have any tips? Do you know where to look? Or should I wait to come back to Europe and use some of my holidays to get there and continue these branches?

Thanks!

Minor fix: changing Myles Mooton father

Hi, I know it's just a really minor change to a family nobody cares about, but I would love to see it as House Mooton of Maidenpool is probably my favorite AGOTCK3 start (and AGOTCK2, I even wrote an AAR back in the day).

The problem?

The mod correctly places a lady of Maidenpool, called Jirelle from 55 to 59 (canonically she dies from the Shivers). After that we don't know how the Mootons keep Maidenpool but the mod assumes the child of Jirelle, Myles, took her name (so matri wedding).

But weirdly enough, as.the father, the mod chose a non canon Arryn, called Ronnel, brother of a lord of the Vale. Taking the mother's name is already rare canonically, but having the son of an Arryn taking another name is really strange. Playing as Myles feels a bit weird, as he is a son of an Arryn and a Valeman, and after him, the family is basically a covert Arryn branch.

Simple solution

The mod already offers a great solution, as it created a cadet branch, the Mooton of Honeymaiden Hall (love their coa btw) vassals of Maidenpool. Why not marrying Jirelle to a cadet of this branch? Still a matri but Ronnel would still be a proud Riverlander descendant in male line from the kings of Maidenpool (like all Mooton after him).

I know it seems frivolous but it is weirdly important for me.

As I live far from my family and want to send photos of their granddaughter to my parents photos, I often send dozens of photos of a specific day and activities in one go on WhatsApp.. I make sure to select the right photo and in the right order to tell a story.

But I noticed the other day, when I sent photos to my wife before my parents, that the photos were in disorder on her phone (but on my phone, the photos appeared in the right order in the channel).

So just two questions: does WA respect the order I select? And if not, can I fix it?

Thanks!
