As an iTunes sales tracker, usually these sales only last from Tuesday to midnight the next Monday, but it is possible this is even more limited. AFAIK this is the first time the complete series has hit $7.99.

I believe these sales are only for the English dub, but that may be incorrect.

SAC and SSS are in HD while 1995 is 4K on iTunes.

Note: 1995 2.0 appears to be the only option on Vudu, but iTunes has both OG and ‘95 as separate listings.

The Laughing Man and Individual Eleven compilations are also $4.99 each, but IIRC these have a different dub cast and are just the seasons cut into film-length versions.

No sales currently on the dub Arise seasons, but Alternative Architecture (1-4 + Pyrophoric Cult) in Japanese is either $13.99 or $19.99 on iTunes (can’t see the price since I purchased it before). That is one of the only ways to see Pyrophoric Cult on digital in the U.S.

Since there are many legitimate concerns about digital purchases since the recent Sony PS store news, here’s some additional information on the relative risks of purchasing from one of these stores.

Most importantly, Playstation’s movie service was never one of the major digital providers like Apple, Vudu, or Amazon, and their movie storefront was already closed in 2021.

Their decision to not renew licenses ONLY applied to purchases made on their PlayStation store (not the same movies purchased on the major platforms).

Even though it’s possible, it is very unlikely that digital purchases through iTunes or Amazon will be removed, as they’re pretty much the equivalent of Steam but for movies.

Due to this, there is an extremely low risk that they will shut down their storefronts or revoke licenses.

Just imo, but the convenience of SAC without ads for on-demand streaming (52 episodes for $8) without the hassle to get 🏴‍☠️ going on a streaming device is worth it for me. Even more for SSS which is difficult to find on blu-ray for a good price.

This is opposed to paying around $40 for the SAC blu-rays I purchased off eBay. Were they worth it? Yeah, but that might not be for folks without a disc player or easy ways to torrent.

Apologies if this was already addressed yesterday, but just Googled after her “want you guys to know firsttttt” story and it’s now showing Private.

No affiliation, but this came up in my feed and seems really cool if you have access to a 3D printer and painting skills. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s better than some of the licensed figures.

Since there have been many recent posts about the early showings before the show releases worldwide, it would be very nice to have them labeled and blurred.

Even better, a stickied discussion thread to keep any unintentional spoilers and discussion in one place for now would also be helpful.

There was already a pic from the screening someone posted that seemed to spoil a particular scene (which thankfully was taken down), so this would probably minimize these going forward without needing them to be manually reported.

Also, as there will probably be an influx of new members once the show drops who likely have not seen some of the earlier series, tags would also help to minimize spoilers for those as well.

Lastly, for anyone else looking to avoid spoilers, switching the view mode from “Card Mode” to “Compact Mode” seems to be useful to eliminate preview text apart from the title text.

Maybe this isn’t an issue for most members, but just wanted to share these suggestions. Thanks!
