Sketches - Ring Nebula (M57) and The Great Globular Cluster (M13)

Happy eclipse day everyone! As it was also the day of the perseid meteor showers and a new moon, I set out for about 3 hours. (Heritage 150p,

After my last post here, it was recommended to me to use a pencil instead of a pen for my sketches. Great idea, thank you<3

Also! This time, I was able to confidently say I found the ring nebula! Last time I was really unsure because i had been looking for it for like an hour and was half convinced I just hallucinated it, but it was definitely a smoky circular smudge this time.

I was also able to get a replacement 25mm which made star hopping much more bearable.

All in all, I found that the 10mm didn't really give me much more than the 25mm other than restrict my field of view. I felt like the increased magnification didn't do much for me with these objects. All in all, I was incredibly happy to actually be able to say i was able to find M57. No moon really makes a big difference.

I also tried to find the dumbell nebula but had no luck there. I left my binocs at home and thus struggled to find the Vulpeculae stars. Thats ok though, im not too bothered. I would appreciate any tips and advice for my next night out, be it from sketches to targets to finding dumbell. Thank you all!

How do I make this star projector (both the model and the shader/lighting)

First image is the original reference I'm trying to roughly recreate, second is a more up close image of a generic star projector of a similar type, and third image is what I already have in blender.

I need help in actually modelling the think, and also making the lighting/shader effect that can be seen in the first image (with stretched out star-shaped lights spreading across the wall.)

I've already modelled the base of the "bowl", and I thought i could make a little star cutter object and use booleans, but the booleans keep just filling the holes with new faces! (fourth image)

Wearing a Mask without bending it

I'm trying to master the art of making Gangle's mask from The Amazing Digital Circus. I have a few in the works, and so far this has been my most successful one; it is a cardboard base + paper mache + polyfilla (similar to drywall joint I think).

However, now it's solidified and is smoothened, but I fear that attaching straps on the sides would cause the polyfilla to crack and break at the center.

Any ideas on how I can put on this mask while avoiding that? (Also any other ideas on making Gangle's mask are appreciated! So far I'm just doing various paper mache bases)

[F4A] The Amazing Digital Circus (TADC) Long-term Gangle Romance RP!

Howdy! My name is Polaria. I'm a 22 year old enby who's been dying to do a digital circus RP! I'm looking to do a Gangle/Zooble or a Gangle/Jax focused rp, with myself playing as Gangle, and you playing as either Zooble or Jax! I'm hoping for this to be a long term rp with the entire cast involved, so both of us will also occasionally play as other characters, but the main two characters will always remain the focus.

My Hard Requirements

- Please be 18+, I don't want to be interacting with minors.

- A grasp of fandom knowledge. I don't need you to be a loremaster or anything (I'm certainly not), but I would prefer if you understood the broad strokes of the characters you'll be playing as!

- Have discord!

What I'm looking for in you / Soft Requirements

- Semi Literate / Literate. I'm quite flexible with this; the length of both of our responses can vary depending on how appropriate they are to the scene at hand.

- Be chill ::). Life's stressful, I want the RP to be a place where we can both have a creative outlet and relax; so don't worry (or make me worry) about having to respond at a very rapid pace. I tend to mirror my partner's pace, but it can vary.

- I like to befriend my RP partners as well so it'd be cool if ur open to being sent memes or casual small talk every now and then. Not a hard rule tho <3

What I'm looking for in the RP

- Genre: Romance, Slice of Life (kinda), Fluff and Angst, Hurt and Comfort, I want there to be a good mix of the good and bad. Oh, and slow burn for the romance.

- Character-focused.

- I essentially want to follow a clear development between the characters, have some downtime between climactic moments and see how our beloved pair change throughout it all. Im especially excited for really tense moments where Gangle's relationships are on the verge of just blowing up.

I'm a sucker for characters and character studies. I like to dig deep into what makes people tick, and investigate the nooks and crannies of relationship dynamics work. I wanna put people in a room and see what they do! I want characters to develop, fall back to old back habits, and rise back up again even higher than before. Fluff, angst, whumps and more are all welcome if they are done in the pursuit of that holy grail of CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! So if you're on a similar wavelength of curious about the circus cast, let me know!

Beginner Sketches: Ring Nebula &amp; Polaris

First time properly using this scope in a dark sky! My first actual attempt was on a full moon back in January so that wasn't really the best...

It took me ages to find the Ring Nebula. I'm not even exactly sure if I found it! I just saw something that was blurrier/smudgier than the rest of the stars, and it was where it should be based on the nearby stars (I think). So I think that was it!

But if it was it, then im happy because that was my goal for the night. This was with my Heritage 150p. We lost the 25mm piece so I had to use the 10mm for everything, it was tough, but fun!

Moving from NL to UK - Cheapest way to keep number?

Howdy folks.

I've been on a Vodafone RED Unlimited subscription in the Netherlands for about 3 years now. I've just moved to the UK, and as such would like to switch my sim. Many of my accounts however are still linked to my dutch number. As such, I'd like to end my subscription but still keep my number so that I can get texts for verification codes and the like.

As I understand, the best way to do this would be to switch from the subscription to a prepaid plan. I'm not entirely sure how to go about this; do I need a new sim? I'm already in the UK, so could I go to a Vodafone UK branch and buy a sim there then just ask for the number to be kept? I'm a bit unsure on what to do.

Customs declarations for shipping personal items

Howdy!

Im moving on Monday (yes, I know very soon) to the UK from the Netherlands. I have a fiance visa and my partner, a british national, and I plan on getting married later this year.

As I understand, since I am moving to get married, most of my personal items from my home will be exempt from having to pay for customs duties. I also do not need to complete the ToR1 form (as per this page https://www.gov.uk/guidance/transfer-of-residence-to-great-britain).

It then provides the codes i can use to declare for my move. If I were to send my boxes through DHL, for example, does this mean all I need to do (aside from list each and every item i send in the boxes...) is to mention that I am declaring those boxes under one of the codes? If so, which code should I use? Does it matter?

How do I balance (or at least move) my station? Is this salvegable?

The craft with the monopropellant tanks is the dedicated "station mover" I made to move it to minmus orbit. Unfortunately when i thrust it, it spins the station. I tried to have a relatively balanced design, but for some reason the fuel tanks aren't aligned. I'm using just the regular docking ports (I dont have Sr.s unlocked yet). Is there a way for me to get this station to move, or do I have to build a brand new one entirely? (if I do, what should I avoid?)
