Hi everyone, there is a new tool that lets you export aaf out of Final Cut Pro. It's called AAF Everything and comes with a workflow extension that allows direct export without any fcpxml intermediate.
There's a new tool converting Final Cut Pro projects to AAF for mixing. It's called AAF Everything and is way cheaper than X2. Multicam is flattened to the correct angles. It transfers gain, automation, pan, fades and crossfades. Has a super intuitive UI with track layout preview.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for all the positive feedback from my last post.
I just updated AAF Bridge zu fully support split-stereo workflows when converting AAF to Ableton Live or back. The point was, that many DAWs like Pro Tools or Nuendo handle AAFs in split-stereo, meaning that every L and R channel gets its own separate file. Ableton on the other hand works with multi-channel stereo files that carry both channels in one file. The new function now allows to either combine split stereo when importing in Ableton and separating when exporting from Ableton, giving full compatibility with Pro tools, Nuendo and other DAWs.

Hi everyone, I'd like to share a tool I made that allows converting xml, fcpxml and fcpxmld packages to AAF and vice versa. I started this project because I still love FCP, but it always bugged me to not be able to do handovers with other NLEs or DAWs other than Logic.
It supports bulk conversion, MXF-audio conversion option, adjustable timecode track and I spent a lot of time mapping crossfades correctly as the overlaps are differently by FCP then other NLEs / DAWs.
I'm looking for one or two people who would like to test it.

I'd like to share a tool I developed that allows AAF import and export from and to Ableton Live. I started this project because I do a lot of composition work and often wanted to hand over from or to Resolve or Premiere. It’s called AAF Bridge and converts aaf to als and back.
It's sample-accurate, transports markers fades and crossfades, volume and pan automation. MXF-audio is automatically transcoded to wav. It also has a crossfade correction option for NLEs / DAWs that map crossfades symetrically on the joint to stay acoustically correct, which I’m quite prod of. Also works with XML and FCPXML.
