What should I get to shave a beard and shape the stubble?

What should I get to shave a beard and shape the stubble?

So I grow a decently full beard, but I like to keep it short, mostly stubble or heavy stubble, and keep that clean and shaped well. Same idea as what's in this image, I guess, though I don't look like that lol. The issue is that the hair on my cheeks tends to be spotty the further up it goes, so I can't just shave it down and then leave it as is. And I just has a regular elecctric razor/trimmer, so when I try and shape it it's not as good as I'd like. I want to find something I can use to do both at the same time preferably, or at least an upgrade in terms of a razor/trimmer and something to shape it after. I assume, if that's what I do, I'd end up getting a saftey razor or a straight razor or something, but I've never used one of those to shave. If anyone has an recommendations for any of this, whether it be specific products or brands or a type of razor, I'd really appreciate it.

Question about textbooks as a freshman?

Some of my textbooks on the RPI bookstore, like for Calc (IA ACH Online 1 Term Calculus by Macmillan) and Physics 1 (Mastering Physics with Pearson by Young), say they're "part of a program where course materials are included in a course charge or tuition," whereas for CompSci 1 (Practical Programming by Gries) just has me buy it through the bookstore. Are the former books going to be given out or something (I'm assuming they are, but I just want to be sure), or should I purchase them from amazon or something?

Accidentally closed my Chrome window and it isn't showing up in recent history, is there a way to restore the window/session?

I closed my windows and reopened them, assuming all of them would open at once, but they didn't, so know the recent history only shows some tabs I opened on another window. Is there a way to restore the window I lost and/or get the tabs?

Edit: Solved, for anyone who might come across this. Credit to u/slimgem1111. Apparently it's not guaranteed to work, but if you press ctrl + shit + T, and do it repeatedly, it'll open previously closed tabs. Keep pressing it over and over and it might open the whole session/window you closed. Took spamming it like ten times until it got to the window, and it worked for me first try.

"The Book: The Ultimate Guide to Rebuilding a Civilization" but in depth?

Like the title says, looking for something like "The Book." The whole survivalist "what to do if the world resets" type of thing. "The Book" seems great but it's expensive and, from what I've heard, not really in depth at all. I'm looking for something that's like this, covers all manner of inventions and skills and knowledge, but actually gets into what to do or how to make it or where to find it, etc.

How to get into Hypnosis as someone who knows nothing about it?

As the title says, I know nothing about hypnosis aside from the stufff you see on TV, which I know is not realistic. Even now I'm kind of skeptical about whether or not it actually works, to be honest. Reading through some posts on this sub, I see people talking about how hypnosis helped them deal with addiction, or change their mental state, or become more disciplined, or even make actual physical changes to their body or physiology, sometimes (which, again, I'm honestly skeptical of). It's made me curious, so I'm wondering if anyone can recommend any good resources likes videos, sites, books, etc., and/or other ways to learn more about hypnosis and, particularly, self hypnosis and how to do it. Despite being a little hard to believe this stuff has me pretty intrigued and interested, so I'd appreciate whatever resources you have to offer.

Chats are slowly getting deleted

Practically every time I open the app chats are disappearing. Literally just this morning I opened the app, and then after opening it again an hour ago, like five chats were gone. Including 2 that I had replied to today. What the fuck is going on? How do I stop this from happening? I'm literally slowly losing my entire chat directory for no reason.

Chat History is Deleted?

Did anyone else's chat history just get randomly deleted like a week ago? Half of my chats are gone. The 14-day chat limit thing where they delete a message if it's old is still up, and i never got the limited messages thing. But now half my bots are just gone. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a way to fix it?

Newt Scammander sends Harry to Nagini

I don't remember really anything about the fic save this one, like, sequence in it. I think Harry was a Slytherin, and maybe friends or something with Cedric Diggory, but I don't really remember. All I do remember is that I'm pretty sure in it, Harry went to find and talk to Newt Scammander to ask him about killing the Basilisk, and Newt kind of grilled him about why he wanted to kill the basilisk and whether or not it deserved to die and stuff like that. And as a way of, like, "checking" (?) Harry's worthiness, sent him to Nagini (the snake lady, not the horcrux) who was supposed to help Harry. They ended up smuggling her into Hogwarts, and from what I remember, Nagini had the ulterior motive of wanting to kill Dumbledore while she was there. There was one scene where I think she trashed his office and Dumbledore caught Harry and someone else with it trashed, who had been trying to get there to prevent it or something, and they had to bail themselves out of it.

That's about all I remember, to be honest, so if someone knows what this is from, please let me know, because I've been trying to remember and I have no clue.

Incoming freshman: is going with a random roommate a bad idea?

I'm doing the housing application and you can either add people to a group (which I don't entirely get, since it seems like it's supposed to be based off the survey answers but then it also seems like you need to correspond with the people who get suggested to you) and just going with a random roommate. I'm not really sure which one to do. I kinda want to try and get the application done fast so the housing preferences get taken into account, but I also am hesitant to just leave the roommate situation up to fate or whatever incase it's not a good experience.

Why Can't I enter Stacked Fractions in the y= screen anymore?

I have a TI-84 Plus. I'm 99% certain that I've been able to put stacked fractions on that screen and also exponents without the "^" to indicate them on the y= screen in the past, which is why I've been very confused since, at some point (I don't remember when) this changed. Now when I insert a fraction using the math -> Num -> D -> Enter shortcut, it just puts a bold "/" instead. Same with exponents. It used to be the x with a box over it that you could put a number in. Now whenever I enter an exponent it does the "^" and has me enter a number after. This is only on the y= screen; when I'm on the normal screen doing regular math instead of graphing or anything, it goes back to normal. I'm in Mathprint mode, and not classic, so I have no idea what else it could be or how to fix it. If someone could help I'd really appreciate it because this has been throwing me off for a while.

Edit: Figured it out, kind of. I don't even entirely understand what the issue was, but apparently I had the Inequalz app and the Transfrm app both active or something, and there was a conflict between the two, so in order to revert it back to normal I had to uninstall (i.e. turn off; I guess it's just called "uninstall") the Transfrm app and then turn of the Ineqaulz app and it fixed it.

Competent/Powerful/Hardworking Harry Fics

I've been craving some fics where Harry is more adept and skilled at magic than he is in cannon and it shows. Examples of some of the stuff I've liked so far are fics like you belong to me (i belong to you), Convergence of Fates, The Prince of Slytherin, and Pray For The Wicked Saga.

In terms of preferences, I don't really have any beyond that the fic takes place while Harry is still at Hogwarts. It can start at any year though. I also don't really have a preference for pairings, if any, beyond generally no slash. All I really care about is that the story is well written (generally good grammar, prose, dialogue, etc.) and that Harry is visibly better at magic, or improving as the story goes. Whether that be in power, or in effort/work, or something else, I don't mind. I would definitely like if there was world building and/or the magic system is expanded upon and added to (Prince of Slytherin is a very good example of this), but it's not a requirement or anything. Only other things are no bashing, and that I don't mind unfinished fics so long as they're still be updated (so, like, have been updated within the last year or so).

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I'm hoping to get some art to hang up on my wall and stuff of ASOIAF, a big poster of the entire world, or at least Westeros, chief among them. However I've never even gotten art of any kind for decoration, let alone art from book series. I was wondering if anyone knew where a good place to look would be or, better yet, had a good recommendation for one. I'd prefer for it to be aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at (i.e. not printed on cheap plastic and folded up and whatnot), but still have detail and labels and whatnot. If anyone has anything for me I'd really appreciate it.

Obviously there'd be differences in the time it takes for a raven vs. a single rider on a horse vs. an entire army vs. a ship to travel from place to place, so I was wondering if there was a good way to determine all of that. I know you can measure distances themselves, but I have no idea how you'd get an actual good grasp on, generally, how long it might take for someone to go from place to place while knowing those distances. They don't use cars in ASOIAF lol.

I came across someone saying they had an excel sheet they used to keep track of distances and time in Westeros (ex: distance between places by land or sea, the distance for ravens, the speeds of ravens, single rider vs. large party vs. army speeds, the speeds of various types of ships, etc.). They linked the sheet, but it need permission to view it and I'm not optimistic about the person even being around to see the request, let alone grant it. So I'm wondering if there's anything similar that I could get, or at the very least where I could find that information to compile it all myself (the wikis, I assume, but still).
