Speakers (Magnepan LRS) lack dialogue clarity compared to TV speakers

I just hooked up my Magnepan LRS speakers to a Fosi Audio ZA3/ZB3 pair I'm noticing that dialogue is being muffled compared to just using my TV speakers which is really strange to me. The clarity on my TV speakers is much better and easier to listen to. I ended up having to switch back because it was too distracting while watching movies. Regardless how I set the gain or volume on my Amp/DAC the problem seems to persist which makes me think it's the speaker setup.

It seems that this is common for TV speakers, but I'd really like to not abandon my Magnepan if this can be fixed. I've been troubleshooting for a while to no avail and it seems to affect all outputs regardless. Originally the speakers were facing forward but I have since positioned them toe-in to slight improvements but overall the same issue where dialogue gets mixed in with other sounds. I'm very new to this so it's quite possible I overlooked something?

Here's my current setup:

Westinghouse Roku TV

Settings:
Audio Output: eARC (ZD3)
Preferred Streaming Format: Auto
Digital Output Format: Stereo

V

Fosi ZD3 DAC in HDMI mode (no bypass)

V

Fosi ZA3 Amplifier in XLR mode (stereo)

V

Magnepan LRS Speakers

- placed about 2 ft from the wall and 4 ft from the TV on either side facing toe-in. We sit about 6 feet from the TV.

- tweeters have NOT been attenuated

- not to be confused with LRS+ variant which seems to have more articles

What autocomplete extension tool made you pivot away from GitHub Copilot for Visual Studio?

Edit: I'm sorry this seemed like an AI prompt I was trying to be succinct but I meant no ill will

Note: This is not for Visual Studio Code this is Visual Studio

I'm interested in hearing directly from developers what has worked best for them as an alternative for the GitHub Copilot autocompletion feature. I'd rather know what has been best in practice than get a suggestion from an AI agent. We are a development team looking into AI autocompletion options for Visual Studio 2022. Up until now we've been using GitHub Copilot but are considering a pivot.

I would like to just know what's available for consideration so that we consider all options. This would be used for work-related development purposes.

Thanks!

ChatGPT or Claude or GitHub Copilot for small development team

tl;dr: Should a small development team using Visual Studio utilize ChatGPT, Claude, or GitHub Copilot?

I'm part of a small development team (under 10) and fairly new to using AI agents in our workflow. I'm posting seeking to learn so please forgive the vague simplicity of the title.

We currently hold a subscription to both GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise where the usage case is to integrate into our workflow with Visual Studio (2022). We are a small company (under 50 employees). To be considerate of spending, we'd like to compromise on a single tool to use going forward once our subscription is up for renewal.

  • The current options on the table are to continue with either ChatGPT Enterprise or GitHub Copilot, or to use Claude instead.
  • When I refer to ChatGPT and Claude, I refer to either the desktop or web application. For GitHub Copilot, we integrate that into Visual Studio and usually use the Claude agent.
    • GitHub Copilot is typically used for engineering entire projects or documents using the Claude agent where it contextualizes the entire solution
    • ChatGPT is used for anything non-related to this (general inquiries, practices, documentation, formatting, engineering a block of code, etc.).

We really like how GitHub Copilot is integrated directly into Visual Studio, but find ourselves not regularly using it for anything beyond cases where it needs to analyze large samples or interpret documents using Claude. This is partially because we don't like how selective it can be with what you want to contextualize.

ChatGPT is really useful for lower resource inquiries and overall we tend to use that more often. We've yet to try Claude, but are open to considering it given the success we've had using the agent with Copilot.

I'm happy to answer additional questions but will pause here for readability. Which subscription should we go with? Cost and integration with our development in Visual Studio are the biggest considerations, but don't want to pass on capabilities for those reasons alone.

29NB | No fancy introduction needed to be my friend

If you're unsure what to talk about, send me some music you really like or a fun fact that captivates you!

I'm in the EST of the USA but am open to making friends internationally! I've been working on developing my hobbies and distancing myself from digital dopamine farming where I can and would love to meet cool people to have low stakes conversations with. No walls of text needed or a fancy introduction as long as you have a genuine interest. I'm hoping to move things to Discord if we hit it off but it's not strictly required.

We can unravel a little bit more about ourselves as we get to know each other! But I am strictly looking for friendship as I'm happily in a relationship. I will also not respond to anyone under the age of 18 (and would prefer people closer to my age in general).

I assume the best in people and keep expectations pretty low. I respond best to curiosity and being impressed by the little things in your day-to-day. Sometimes, though, the vibes just aren't there and I won't take it personally if we grow apart. We might become good friends though and I hope that's the case!

Fiber Network, ethernet setup still feels slow on all devices

UPDATE: Changing the DNS server seems like the way to go for something like this. Will be looking into the best way to do this network-wide rather than per device but thanks to everyone for the lesson!

I have AT&T fiber up to 1GBPS (internet speed tests seem to support this) and every computer uses an ethernet connection.

Still, however, I find that each computer I use is still rather slow at loading web pages. Sometimes pages don't load at all. YouTube videos can take 10-20 seconds just to start. I use CAT7 cables throughout the network as well. I have a few different workstations (only a few years old) from completely different manufacturers and hardware specs so I hesitate to say it's exclusively my devices. I'm fairly new to networking so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot from here and would appreciate any advice as I try to learn how to optimize my setup.
