I think it’s time.
I’ve been on Vyvanse for 13 years. I’ve accomplished great things because of the support it has provided me throughout the years. However, the generic variations of this drug need to be looked into.
I believe it was around Covid when the compulsive decision making began for me. It’s now 5 years later I have come to the conclusion that these meds are no longer actually therapeutic for me. I either don’t feel a thing, get tired, go into zombie mode, or become obsessively compulsive. It doesn’t feel good, it doesn’t feel bad. But completing long term tasks that require multiple steps or days feel so daunting that I can’t be bothered to approach them, so I take short cuts or put it off until tomorrow.
I am quite certain that this medicine has single handedly turned me into a compulsive gambler. I make good money but it hasn’t felt like it for years because sometimes I’ll spend hours trying to make a quick buck, lose - then chase that loss for hours on end. I have no desire to gamble at all when I am not taking Vyvanse. I tried switching to adderall, which sucked for other reasons. But I had none of the compulsive issues on Adderall and tbh I never had any issues with the meds at all outside of upset stomach before this Amenal crap. I think it might be time to hop off permanently and face the music head on.. how bad could it be, right?
Does anyone else have similar experiences?
“What the hell?” - Kiara, probably.
I’m currently rewatching the show and got triggered hearing Kiara say “what the hell” at one point. Turns out she says it a lot.
Annoyed at the stupidity this season. Did everyone suddenly turn into physical morons?
I am mid season and so far the decision making has been comically elementary.
