Low heart rate?

Hi everyone,

33F I have been on prozac now for 2 weeks. 20mg daily.

Absolutely horrendous health anxiety. I lost my 9 year old daughter last year 💔

My life is a mess and my heads even worse. I started the tablets in some hope they might help me see through this storm.

I check my heart rate all the time on my smart watch. It has gone as low as 45 ( when sleeping), but I noticed yesterday it's 45 when I've been awake! I'm tired all the time and it's just not working. Back to back panic attacks 😭

I haven't taken it today and the readings have normalised somewhat.

I don't have any other symptoms other than sometimes dizzy when standing but I am recovering from iron deficiency anaemia, that I am medicated for

I am seeing my GP tomorrow but I just need to know if anyone has had a similar experience? Please?

Thank you 🙏🏼

Low heart rate?

Hi everyone.

I've been on prozac now 12 days. 20mg daily

Smartwatch showing resting heart rate as low as 45 when just sitting still. Normally only that number when sleeping. Heart rate will elevate with moving, eating etc. It's really freaking me out.

Has anyone had anything similar? I don't even feel better, I feel worse. My anxiety is awful, and I'm tired all the time

Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you.

Period fluctuations?

Hi everyone 😊 I'm looking for some reassurance/experiences from other people who have periods and weigh themselves regularly.

I've had a pretty significant weight loss over the last several months on Mounjaro, and I'm now quite anxious about fluctuations on the scale. I had my last shot on 12.05.2026.

I'm due my period now and have already started spotting. Over the last couple of days, I've noticed my weight moving around despite eating and drinking normally.

For example, today I've eaten alot 😆 plus a reasonable amount of fluid. I weighed myself afterwards and the number was lower?

I'm wondering how much your weight normally fluctuates in the days immediately before your period and whether you've noticed sudden changes once your period actually starts.

Do you tend to retain water before your period? Can your weight go down again quite quickly once your period arrives?

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who weigh themselves frequently and have noticed patterns across their cycle.

I'm not looking for weight-loss advice, just wondering whether this sort of fluctuation is something other people experience too. ❤️

Thanks!

Day 8!

Hi everyone 👋🏻

Day 8, as the title says.

I'm taking them for grief of losing my 9 year old daughter and severe health anxiety 💔

I'm absolutely knackered all day long, I have worsening anxiety every day, too. Is back to back panic attacks normal?

Seriously, I'm considering quitting here 😞

FIT test

Hi everyone.

33f. Iron deficiency anaemia found in recent bloodwork.

Handed a fit test in on 24/7

Had a text today from the surgery asking me to " book a routine telephone appointment within 1 week. I called the surgery, and they said they don't have any phone appointments until next Friday! They also told me it's " not urgent" just routine.

I am calling them back at 8 tomorrow morning for a face to face.

Is a positive FIT test classed as routine?

I have been on ferrous sulfate 200mg for 3 weeks, and my haemoglobin has normalised, and ferritin has tripled after last bloods.

Can anyone advise, please?

Much appreciated if so!

Fit test

Hi everyone.

33f

Extremely anxious, so please excuse me.

Handed in FIT test on Friday, 24.07.2026

I have rang the doctors to chase up and nothing as of yet. Still with the clinician waiting to be reviewed.

I've had haemorrhoids for 10 years, and they do bleed even now.

What are the chances the FIT test will be positive?

And if so ( that I'm anticipating), how fast do GP's take to give you your results?

I've been told to ring back on Monday and the waiting is driving me crazy! Can't sleep or eat.

Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Iron deficiency anemia

Hi everyone.

Started monjauro September 2025. Finished May 2026. SW: 16 stone 7lbs. CW: 11stone 2lbs.

Had my bloods done recently as I was feeling dizzy when standing up and looked quite pale.

Turns out I've got extremely low ferritin 8 and 11.5 Haemoglobin.

Has anyone else experienced iron deficiency that they didn't have before starting monjauro?

Thanks in advance!

Ferrous sulfate

Hi everyone.

I was diagnosed with Iron Deficiency Anaemia on 3rd July after routine bloods.

The doctor prescribed ferrous sulfate 200mg daily.

My period was due on 17th July, and I've had some light spotting about 3 days before.

My period has been so light to non-existent! I'm used to heavy periods, but it's been the strangest thing. It started off strong as normal but didn't continue as normal!

Has anyone had any similar experiences?

Thank you.

Copper coil

Hi ladies.

I have had the copper coil for 9 and half years now

It's due to expire in January 2027.

Has anyone else experienced heavier periods towards the expiry date?

I've been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia and have always had mid to heavy periods, but I'm hoping it may be down to that and not something sinister! I'm 33f 🙏🏼

Thanks in advance!

Help with interpreting, please

Hi everyone.

Had my results 3rd July, only just got full results today, and it's fair to see I've googled myself into a state

Context: 33f, never been anaemic before. Lost 5 stone recently on monjauro in 8 months.

I'll be honest, I didn't eat very much on it. Came off it on 12th May

Weight has stabilised. Mid to heavy periods. Struggled with haemorrhoids for years. Any advice or anyone been in similar circumstances?

Any advice or help would be much appreciated 🙏🏼

Anyone else? Please

Hi everyone,

I'm 33f. Had bloods done randomly as I felt 'off' I spoke with my GP and after a very panicked phone call ( I hadn't seen these results prior to the call) I received these today nearly 2 weeks after

I'm so sorry if this comes across selfish to people going through the 'c' word

Not my intention, I'm just extremely worried now.

I do have mid to heavy periods, but nothing I thought could warrant this

I've recently lost 5 stone on monjauro in 9 months. I wasn't really eating very well on it and have been off it for 2 months now. My weight has stabilised, and my appetite is back. Although my diet is shocking, I am working on it.

These bloods were taken a month ago, 1 week after a period. The thing is, my doctor wants me to do a FIT sample 😱 because I mentioned I have struggled badly with haemorrhoids since the birth of my daughter, 10 years ago. Even to the point they made a hospital referral for me. Life got in the way, and I never followed it up. Dr has also started me on 200mg ferrous sulfate daily.

I think I'm just looking for interpretation, really, and if anyone else has been through anything similar?

I have been noticeably pale and had dizzy spells when standing up.

Thank you for reading 🙏🏼 and advice would be massively appreciated!

Iron deficiency anaemia

Hi everyone.

33f, just diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia g/l 115.

My doctor requested I make a routine telephone appointment, where he told me of the findings. Everything else was normal bar the red blood cell count.

I'll be completely honest after he told me that, I spiralled and don't remember much of what he said. He mentioned a FIT test to be collected on Monday. I originally requested blood tests for acid reflux/gastric issues. I am of the understanding that a FIT test is for cancer detection. I have had blood in my stools twice this year, but I have had severe haemorrhoids for years and don't know what to think. I have recently stopped monjauro 7 weeks ago where I lost 5 stone. Since I have come off, I have put weight on, my stools are normal(colour & visually) I don't have any pain. I'm not pregnant and I have mid to heavy periods.

Any advice would be welcome, I am panicking past myself 😭

Thank you.

Boutique by night teeth whitening

Hi everyone 🦷

I have paid for teeth whitening from my dentist.

They have given me an overnight solution in syringes at 16% Carbamide Peroxide. I have read the instructions, and it has advised 6 hours to yield the best results. The problem is, I don't sleep 6 hours a night. I've had terrible sleep for years, and we are currently going through a heatwave here in the UK. Can I use the solution in the day? My sleep is broken and I probably sleep the most 4 hours at a time. Is this enough to whiten my teeth?

Thank you in advance 😁

Anyone, please. Desperate

Hi everyone.

33f. Diagnosed HH 2017.

Been on PPis 30mg lansoprazole since last April.

I'll try and keep this as short as I can. I don't want to start rambling.

I recently lost a lot of weight from 104kg to 72kg off monjauro. I stopped taking when this problem started. I can't say I used this medication properly, I didn't really adjust my diet properly. I had days when I didn't eat and days when I'd eat rubbish. I have asthma, and I smoke (I know) working on that now. I've always had a cough because of the smoking, but it felt like I'd got a chest infection and went to the doctors. Antibiotics and steroids, nothing. I also increased my PPI to 60mg lansoprazole. Weeks passed, and the coughing, mucus, and wheezing continued. Eventually, spoke to a doctor who said it was connected to the acid reflux. He ordered a blood test and a Hpylori. So, no PPIs and put on 40mg famotidine day and night with gaviscon advance. Oh my god, it was hell!! heartburn 24/7, acid in mouth when I woke up and dysphagia, couldn't bear it in the end and went back to the doctors a week later. In normal circumstances, I'd of battled through, I lost my daughter last year, she was 8. My heart and mind cannot take anymore so even slight discomfort is too much. This doctor told me he would book me in for an endoscopy and to restart my PPIs. I did that 3 days ago. The heartburn had started to subside before I did, but I was so desperate for this feeling to stop, I restarted my PPi at 60mg - 30mg BD. The problem now is that I've still got symptoms that are worrying me sick, my throat is dry, and when I eat 5-10 minutes later I can feel it in my throat on the left-hand side? It does go down when I drink water, copious amounts! It feels a bit like mucus. My stomach has been gurlging and I can feel a burning hunger of a night. I have scared myself into oblivion over this. I can't eat or sleep thinking it's the worst-case scenario, the c word, I'm not scared to die, I just want to know what I'm dealing with.

Any advice, please? My daughters anniversary is soon and I cannot be in this state 😫

Acid rebound!

Hi everyone.

I have posted here before a couple of times, as I have terrible health anxiety.

So I'm 33f, Hiatus hernia diagnosed 2017. Smoker (actively trying to quit) is also asthmatic.

I have been on monjauro since September 25. Lost 5 stone so far. After titrating up to 12.5mg, the problems started.

I had heartburn briefly in the other lower doses, but nothing like this. I have always had a cough through smoking, but this cough felt like I had a permanent chest infection. Like I've been aspirating everything all the time. Coughing, wheezing, and chest tightness. Back and forward to the doctors, steroids, antibiotics, and anti allergy. I'm going through one of the worst times in my life, I lost my daughter last year at 8 years old. As you can imagine I'm stressed all the time, not sleeping, anxiety and major depression.

I've had a chest x-ray, and it was clear. I had a doctor's appointment last week, and finally, they ordered a h-,pylori, and blood tests. In order to do these tests, I needed to be taken off PPIS. I had been on 30mg lansoprazole for about a year, but this was increased to 60mg by another doctor about 5 weeks ago to see if it would help my cough. If anyone's had to stop PPIs after extended use, you will understand! The heartburn is unbearable, and I do feel like my food can take a while to go down.

The acid in my mouth after sleep is so bitter. I am able to swallow, but I've dramatically decreased my food intake, opting for soft foods. I'm barely eating out of fear. Which is making the stomach acid worse. As of a night, I'm so hungry. I also haven't had my monjauro for nearly 2 weeks.

The doctor prescribed famotidine 80mg - 40mg BD. It seems to have helped somewhat, but there's still breakthrough acid and globus sensation Google has been a staple, and I've scared myself into oblivion about oesophagal cancer. I'm not really scared if I am ill, I'd hopefully get to be back with my girl, I just want to know what's going on, an everything seems to be going in slow motion with the GP. I just want an endoscopy, but it seems there's other tests first, which I'm trying to understand. I think the major stress is that PPIs haven't been working, so in mind, it must be something sinister

Any advice would be extremely helpful. Thank you for reading.
