My aunt and uncle created a trust, but she's giving away his money

Edit: Thank you everyone! I do have the trust and it says their money will be separated at death and each person will leave theirs to their family. But I don't think it puts any limitations on spending for the surviving partner.

I have never counted their money as mine, but I think since my uncle took the time to draw up the trust, and talked to my cousin about it, he'd be upset regardless of how sweet the scholarship is.

I wish I could get inside her head because I would be gobsmacked if she had any ill intentions. I'm pretty sure she's just heartbroken, and the scholarship is her grasp at healing. But it seems weird how strongly she specified that it was his money that went into the scholarship, regardless of the fact that it came from the same account.

Location: California

Before he died, my uncle created a trust with his wife. They both had a significant amount of money, and he wanted his money to be split between his nieces and nephews. The trust is very specific.

My aunt recently created a scholarship in my uncle's memory. It's a lovely move, but she used my all of my uncles money, and none of her own, to do so.

Does this fly? Does it render the trust obsolete?

One is my cousins is struggling. He's got severe disabilities and before he died my uncle told him he could depend on some help for retirement.

I'm not sure any of us would contest this, but I'm just curious as to the legality of it? And am I overreacting to think this is a little bit thoughtless?

At what age did you get your tiny male pomskies fixed?

My little guy, Fitzi, is starting to hump things, and I just noticed he's licking himself after I pet him. When there's no pee or anything to clean. He just seems to get frisky and enjoy himself.

It's fairly disturbing. He's 8 months old. How long should I wait to get him fixed? And will that help at all with his bossiness?

Puppy tax, here he is on the right planning the great caterpillar heist of 2026. Not to worry though. Jada Pinkett Pomsky, on the left, had her sights set on his floppy duck all along.

Christmas?

I'm considering going on a trip for Christmas.

The last 4 years I've tried my best to make it magical. Several presents for all the kids. Stockings. Decorations. I spent my own money to do what neither of their parents would.

And Christmas morning, without fail, I sit ignored. No presents. No cards. Thank yous mumbled with no eye contact and only after prompts. My husband made it clear from the beginning that he doesn't buy presents, but that I'm welcome to spend his money on things for myself, which is fun. (Actually last year he went to the gym I wanted to join, to get new a membership. And after everyone opened their presents he gave me the membership pass. So credit where it's due.) I still feel embarrassed anddepressed sitting there with no one else acknowledging my existence.

These kids have never been welcoming. They are children of trauma. Over and over and over I have bonded with them only to have that bond destroyed by their HCBM every time they visit. And while they've never been actively mean to me, they treat me like a stranger.

At this point I rarely interact with them. I hide downstairs and can go days without even seeing them... Although I sure can hear them.

My husband's going through a tough time right now. Extremely tough. And any mention of my hurt feelings, while no longer being actively invalidated, completely overwhelm him. I just mentioned this Christmas thing and now we're on the depths of hurt feelings and helplessness.

I would love any advice about the situation. But most importantly do you think it's a good idea for me to miss Christmas this year? I have to admit, there's a part of me that wants them to feel the difference I make. But I'm not even sure they'll care.

Does ADHD medication help with chronic oversharing?

I'm looking for a glimmer of hope.

Has anyone found that they are less likely to to overshare when they are medicated?

I haven't been out much since I began medication 2 months ago, but I'll be starting a project soon and will need to talk to people. The meds have helped quite a bit. Do you think they'll help keep my oversharing at an appropriate level?

Puppy is terrified of harness

My 4 month old mixed breed is absolutely terrified of being put into any kind of harness.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get him used to it?

Color changes

Little Fitzi is growing up... And turning grey. (Lavender?)

He's 4 months old now. How much more do you think his color will change?

The black on his face stayed the same size as he grew, now it looks like he's doing blackface. So controversial. 🖤💕🖤

It is completely unnecessary to include "this will be important later" when writing a post.

If you're including a bunch of stuff that isn't necessary, you need to go back and edit your post.
