How to exercise a cat who does not want to move and has no interest in toys? (Adopted 5 days ago so still trying to try out ideas)

Adopted a cat on Friday who is 20 pounds and should be 12 so I'm trying to help her lose weight.

I've gotten her on wet food with pumpkin puree and homemade broth for digestive health (had unitary issues) and to combat her dislike of water. As well as wiping her down due to struggling to get into the litter box

But she doesn't want to move and the toys are not tempting her.

Opinions on my first non kit attempt? Used An Hee Jin, Mouse pattern from dmc

I think I used too thin of a fabric. Also the feet were supposed to be stem stitches but that was not working so I used a satin stitch and outlined it to make it look like a shape and not a blob.

[CHAT] Found a bunch of old crossstitch patterns for 50 cents each at the local thrift store, this is about a quarter of the ones they had

Trying to figure out if I should scan these to save because idk if they are still in print

Is there anyway to dump a game cartridge without a modded DS? I keep seeing people mention things like the "Neo SMS 4" but the comments are low rated or ignored so idk if that's a real option or a scam.

What's the best glue to attach expanding foam/Styrofoam to PVC enclosure sides that's not silicone?

I'm trying to reuse an old bit of decor I made and liked and was wondering if there are alternatives to silicone because of how long it takes for silicone to cure. The only suggestions I am seeing are silicone.

What am I doing wrong with the buttonhole wheel? (I know it's thick, pattern said 6 strands) Am I pulling too tight or is something too loose?

(please bear with me and read the whole post) Are there any easily available rodents that can live in a 10 gallon?

Okay so there is an explanation for this that isn't "I'm trying to shove something into a spare tank": I have a missing snake and he is a breed that you shouldn't give up looking for till you find a body or a year and half has passed. The traps are a problem because fresh food expires fast and I can't afford or reasonable refresh that many traps each day. So used rodent bedding was suggested. I do not know anyone with rodents or anywhere that will given me used rodent bedding.

So why not just get a rodent for its bedding, I guess?! That being said: I'm not going to abuse or neglect an animal in my care just because it fixes an issue for me so I'm trying to see if I would have the space or material to even adequately take care of any rodent.

I have the space for and multiple spare 10 gallons so that would be the easiest situation to start with and if the answer is: no, nothing can live in that spare space I either have to make space for a space 29 or trying asking different PetSmart employees for litter I guess.

Do note: when/if snake is found, the rodent is still a pet. They will be kept well taken care of as a pet for their entire life, I am not returning, releasing or using it as a food source. Im desperate not cruel

Does anyone have any tips on how to coat something with two part resin that isn't flat? Like a figure or rock formation?

I am trying to make custom decor for aquariums and vivariums and two part epoxy seems to be the safest material to seal things in, but I am struggling to get an even coating or for it not to be lumpy. It's just kinda of a mess or has a lot of "feets" on the base. Does anyone have an tips?

Also any way to make it look matte?

[CHAT] Does anyone have advice for picking colors when trying to match it to a photo? Trying to make some basic patterns for the Kanto Starters and I feel like I am just randomly picking colors on stitchfiddle. (Photo is what I have right now and how it looks)

Thing to figure out if this little guy is a mouse or a baby rat. The fur pattern suggest white foot mouse or Eastern wood rat, but be grayish fur and long tail is firmly in rat I think.

Got this 40-50 gallon front opening tank for really cheap, what is a good way to repair the front latch and slightly melted edges? Or should I just get a new latch.

Anyone know of any good cafes, lounges or any chill spots in North Raleigh or Wake Forest to go do some work at on the weekends?

I've been trying to find somewhere to just go to do writing, emails and so on during weekends because I live with family and being seen sitting "doing nothing" is dangerous. But...

I'm kinda struggling, I've just been googling and picking on at random. Either it's really small so I don't want to be taking up a seat, it's expensive to even get one drink, it's uncomfortable/no privacy, closed on Sundays or in one case: I use to work there and that means being left alone isn't possible.

The list of places in question: North Regional library, Wake Community library, Northeast regional library, Black and White, Wake Forest Coffee Company, Beow's, Deja Brew. Maybe I'm missing a cozy spot in those places then?

I can figure out if I am wording this incorrectly, but how to I position elements in relation to other elements?

I'm trying to figure out how to get a text box to be a set distance from the inner boundary of a table and then to do that on every table box and I can't figure it out without math. If I'm not explaining this well I am happy to answer questions. I do this casually I don't know the proper terminology.

What's the best place to sell trading cards as a casual collector who doesn't want to be screwed over but also if just not interested in the resale game politics?

Apparently according to a friend I have some decent cards from when I was a kid and I'm trying to buff up my saving, but I just am not a serious collector* and know nothing about who has a good reputation among sellers and idt my buyer experience would translate over.

I know of these places in Raleigh or nearby:

Game Theory

Hidden Block

Magpie and Crow

And I have the business cards of a few people who come in for cons and know of the collector's expo that happens at the state fair ground, but was hoping for some first hand experience or just general tips.

*My current collections are a Pokedex collection, two artists I like, and an alt form Pokedex. Literally any card will do for the first and last collection as long as it is of the pokemon and the two artists aren't super popular/only recently because popular I just like their styles. But I would take a messed up card for them as long as the art was still decent.
